Eddie O told me at the miami spring game himself that the Miami team was better than his LSU team because their 'defense wasnt that good'.

People bring up all the NFL names from Miami but you also have to remember those guys weren't the same caliber player at Miami that they became in the NFL. I also think it's really impossible to judge just because the rules and officiating over the 20 year gap between these teams is enormous. However one thing that can't be argued is LSU's resume from their season easily blows away Miami's. What was it? 8 top 10 wins by an average of 20 points a game? Including the entire preseason top 4? LSU also played 15 games to Miami's 12. If Miami had to go through a playoff and play 3 more games is it possible they lose one? Maybe.

Bama in 2020 is THE ABSOLUTE VERY BEST! An ALL SEC schedule is tougher and harder than any other!

An “all sec” schedule where the entire conference is down due to personnel issues created by the pandemic, an all sec schedule where you didn’t have the element of away team crowd advantage and keep in mind, the same Florida team you all gave up 46 points to, LSU beat by 14.

They definitely were but with the extremely shortened season (which also depended on what conference), opt outs galore, practice and contact limitations, conference only schedules, crowd limitations, etc. etc. etc.... It's just not possible to compare that team to any other one because a situation like that had never happened before.

Thst Miami team was good but that defense and run game was what made them great. LSU starts slow but 2nd half Miami might just get boat raced. Jamar and Justin was basically unguardable in every game. No one was even close.

I think LSU 2019 is better team than 01 Miami however I think 01 Miami head to head is a terrible match up for LSU 19. You had to bully Miami and run the ball. Trying to beat them in the passing game just let those pass rushers and secondary eat. Teams could run the ball a little on LSU. When you look at the teams that beat Miami from 2000-2002 it was Trrssell Ohio state and Bowdens power and defense version of FSU. Joe Burrow would get beat up like he did in the Auburn game, except Miami can score.

That’s why when Klatt did his all time rankings in a bracket style 04 USC was the perfect team because Defense, Run Game, QB play, special teams, coaching were all elite.
