So Jokić actually needs 3 acolites he don't have, European cup gold and WC gold to even come in consideration for top Serbian basketball player of all time (although it is also disputed he is the best in his generation), because, we already have players, and a lot of them, that already has all of that. So Jokić is already 2 WC and 3 EC behind him (that maeans he must not miss this competition next 10 years, and play still at age of 39), with prospect to pass him only in Olympic medals this and next Olympics. But Olympic gold for Serbia would be historical, would make Jokić surelly legend of Serbian baskeball. Americans thinks NBA leauge is best in the world so the best players in that league and best teams must be also best in the world. But there is a catch: how you know it if you don't compette with others. So that very disrespectfull WC are actually the only place where you can have respectfull competition with the world, and measure real strenght and quallity. I have to disappoint you, but it is not Olympics. Olympics are actually very wierd basketball tournament where you, if you go all to the end, to the finals, play only six games. And there is only 12 teams participating, from witch some got their place due to the continetal quotas, and not real global head to head strenght measurment, so they are not the best of the best, but best by the region. Many teams that deserve more to be there didn't qualify, due to their continental quotas, but you have South Sudan and Japan that would hardly beat the worst European teams, and most of South American teams. On the other hand, WC is larger tournament with two group phases that gives 16 best teams to compette in ellimination phase (final phase there is already larger than Olympic tournaments starts with). Olympics are more fashion-week of basketball than real tournament. So USA "loves Olympics", and "disregard WC", and I wonder why, when the real competition is at WC, and not on Olympics. So don't be confused, in the world, the most regarded results is from WC. If you choose not to participate, or you choose to participate half-through, that is your problem. You don't participate, you are not qualified at all for ranking at all. But then you adore to participate at fashion-week basketball at Olympics... Did you missed the proclamation of the best team on planet for 2023, that is given every year taking in consideration all sports that exists. And the awarded team was basketball team (just that makes great basketball success to win among all team sports existing), and it was - oh my God, German national basketball team... the best basketball team in 2023. Why? Because they won that year the OFFICIAL INTERNATIONAL compettition that is highly regarded, not just basketball wise, but all team sports wise... In that sense, although Olympics are the high end competition for traditional athtlets, it is ranked lower than official international competitions in team sports, purely becasue for all team sports it is unnaturally short tournament that very often don't include variouse team sports in it's programme, because it is not natural destination of international peak of all team sports, but current assesment what is currently the most popular sports. But it is still second best quallity international competition, becasue you have World tournaments organised by variouse sports associations, and Olympic that is the only other international competition that exists (so it is not hard for Olympics to be the second most important destination for team sports, it is the only other one...) P. S. You know what is fun fact? Germany, Serbia and Cannada got straight golden ticket to Olypmics as officially 3 best basketball teams in the world. USA got qualaification BY QUOTA, as the second best qualified team on WC in North America zone... behind Cannada... And NBA itself also reflect this reality, considering that top 3 NBA MVP candidates for 2023/24 were in fact 2 Serbians and 1 Cannadian...

I saw a lot of bricks in today game vs US, and i can't get it, if you have better options to pass ball than pass it, our players in some situacions don't know what they want to do with ball so they rather choose to shoot bricks than to pass or to do something useful and that was main reason why we lose games even with such good tim that we have now.

Jokic played in NBA since he was 20 or something, so he doesn't understand how to play in European system very well, but than Bodiroga wouldn't be good in NBA if he tried (we have many many similar exaples), so it's not easy to say who is better. I respect Bodiroga more because he has 3 Euroleague titles with Barcelona and Jokic has "only" one title with Denver

His best game was against USA that they almost won. Early in his carrier, Serbian coach played Jokic in Power Forward position. Jokic's peak was in the season he won championship with Denver, he wasn't playing for his country since then.

What!? 2019 has been unlucky year due to Teodosic, Milosavljevic injury. Also, Djorjevic decided to bring 4/5 slow and heavy players: Raduljica, Milutinov (this was not Milutinov of today), Marjanovic, Jokic and effing Birchevic ... Marjanovic and Raduljica were useless and teams with speed killed us - Argentina and Spain. Bircha was totally going downhill and he was a starter in some games haha!!! Serbia was best in assists in that tournament. Everything was working great until our heavy centers couldn't stop fast Spanish and Argentine's guards.
