Why Kion Isn't In The Lion King 2 Theory: Discovering Disney 

Scar didn't leave because he knew he wasn't strong enough to challenge, take and protect a pride on his own. Simba allowed him to stay and in some cases there are Prides with more than one lion. Scar wanted to be the sole leader of the Pride Lands, so he commissioned the hyenas to protect him and the Pride when he took control. I know why Kion wasn’t in TLK2: He wasn’t invented yet

Disclaimer: Spoiler alert. During the events between kovu enter the pride until zira is killed, kion and his lion guard went to tree of life to heal his scar. There, he fell in love with the new Queen of tree of life, Queen Rani. After healed, and after zira is defeated, he returned and passed the lion guard torch to vitani, and he returned to tree of life to marry with Queen Rani, effectively become the new King of Tree of life. So technically, is true that Kion has left the Pride land for good

(SPOILERS) Kion went to the Tree of Life to heal the scar he got from Battle for the Pridelands (S3E1) , and Rafiki told him he needed to go to the Tree of Life. After several months, he reached it, and had his scar healed. He went back to Pride Rock, and Kion remembered he met another lion named Rani, who was the Queen of the Tree of Life after her grandmother died (pretty sad episode). He went back and became King of the Tree of Life (you know what that means! 💟) Anyway, In the words of Ono, 'common knowledge, really.'

Personally I think Kion either died on a really dangerous mission or he left the Pridelands because he was becoming increasingly upset with his father's paranoia and his treatment of the Outsiders and other groups. Either one brings Simba's mental state back to Kiara's first hunt where he was all overprotective and controlling.

I kinda hate how they kicked Kiara to the dirt figuratively, because she was an awesome protagonist. She may not have been strong or smart like one expects a hero to be, but in "Love will find a Way" she TELLS us what makes her amazing: her sacred heart! Now in the lion guard she's rude to he brother, and actually wants to be queen?! Since when did she want that?! For the next video, we should ask what happened to the real Kiara?!

Well, In 2019, they made a season 3 of Lion Guard, he got a Scar by Ushari, and he and his Guard, started they're journey to The Tree of Life.

During the start of the Lion King 2 Kion wasn't born yet Kiara was still a cub it had a big time skip but in the middle of that time skip Kion was born then two seasons of The Lion guard were made then when Kiara was a teenager Kion had to leave because his father's Uncle,Scar gave him a scar in the eye and the only way I could be healed was if they went to the tree of life so they went to the tree of life but when they were at the Tree of Life The Lion King 2 movie had already started that's why Kion was not in The Lion King 2 movie

I don't think that elements of lion biology- especially the males being kicked out of the pride applies to the Lion King at all. They have a humanlike monarchy, not a lionlike one, and Scar was very clearly allowed to be living in the pridelands when his brother was king. They wouldn't have set up this whole Lion Guard situation if they kicked out the 3 year old males. Especially after showing us a whole bunch of depictions of fully grown male lions as the previous guard.

Kion wasn't in "The Lion King 2" because Kion had to go the "Tree of Life" to heal his scar after Ushari bit him. When Kion returns from the "Tree of Life", Kovu and Vitani's Guard live in the Pridelands, but before Kion goes to the "Tree of Life", Kovu and Vitani's Guard isn't there. So Kion was at the "Tree of Life" during the "Lion King 2". "Common Knowledge Really".

I feel like the Tuliza he often chewed on played a vital role in preventing that venom from getting any further. It’s was put as a way to make him feel better but I feel it slowed down the poison and prevented it from harming him as much, and if he didn’t have tuliza for a while then I’d assume that’s when the poison would start to kick in. He has to deal with the venom slowly taking affect on him, the fact that he now shares a physical appearence with his worst fear(which could get into his head) and he’s also a moody teen so, he’s gonna lash out from time to time

I think I know what actually happened. At this time, Kion had gone to the Tree of Life. It also shows in the lion guard that Kovu and the others have joined Simba's pride after Kion returns.

A theory I had was that while male lions are expelled, royal lions aren't, which is why we don't see Nala and Kovu's dads, but do see Scar and Mufasa. However, maybe to prove their bravery, royal male lions leave for a year, kind of like how female lions have their first hunt. Maybe Kion was doing that while Kiara was dating Kovu

if they extended the second lion king film it would have shown nala becoming pregnant with kion and then before the credits come on introducing kion to the pride and that will led to the beginning of the new series of the lion guard

Imagine if Kovu accidentally killed Kion during his first encounter with him (which I want to make clear is close to almost completely impossible) how do you think would this effect the 2nd movie and Kiara’s relationship with Kovu? My theory is that Simba will almost inevitably go to war with the outlands and you know what the butterfly effect is like.

I personally think the answer is throughout the movie he is out protecting the pride lands, or he was banished for abusing the roar

Short answer: The Lion King canon universe is just a big mess and doesn't make any sense. In the first movie, everything makes sense. The second movie, a lot less already but it was executed quite well. After that everything went downhill. It would be better off with a reboot or something.

And now, I'm confuse, all because they added Kion Or maybe, it might be in an alternate universe That happens a lot to most movies or series

in lion king 2, the reason kion was not shown was becuase he was at the tree of life. he needed to be healed because he got a scar and the full story is in season 3 of the lion guard. He came back when kovu and kiara were happily in love and kion was not apart of the lion guard after that because there was a different lion guard and the leader was kovus sister (vitani) so kion and his friends went back to the tree of life and started being apart of the night pride (it’s like the lion guard but at the tree of life) and kion found a love there, queen rani. So kion then became king. It shows all of this in the lion guard at season 3 (you can watch it on Disney+).

The reality reason Kion wasn't in The Lion King 2 is that Kion just hadn't been invented yet... But in the cinematic set, Kion was at the tree of life after he got his scar and was not around at the time that Lion King 2 was set.

On the last season of lion guard it explains that Kion left to go to another Pride to be king there when he's still a cub so that's why he's not in it when they're adults.

Kion left for the journey of the tree of life and stayed there as a leader to the night pride , the protector of the tree of life and got his lioness , Rani. COMMON KNOWLEDGE REALLY.

Why is this even a big deal?! They just made this character up just to expand more on the established world of The Lion King II for no apparent reason.

Kion is Simba’s third cub. Kiara second then kopa first. But kopa got attacked by zira because vitani loved him and he loved her.

If any one has read warrior cats, read what I have to say, and please don’t judge for any misspellings: Well, I think that Firestar is like simba and sandstorm as nala and in the books, Firestar at first doesn’t trust brambleclaw, like how simba doesn’t trust scars son at first (I forgot the name haven’t watched it in a long time sorry). Tigerstar is most likely to be like scar, of course, and so his son, brambleclaw liking Squirrelflight and them mating is like scars sun and kira together. There is no charcter in lion king 2 similar to ashfur, but with scar being jealous of sarabi and mufasa, I think that if like the action of ashfur being jealous of brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. I think this is mostly how the Erin hunter team got ideas for some of warriors, especially because she has books on lions too. But it is all said that she got her idea on tail chasers song, the book, to START warriors. There’s many things that inspired them! I hope you all liked what I hand to say! :)

My theory is that Kion and the Lion Guard were at the Tree Of Life during Lion King 2s events. I think this because when he and the Lion Guard return Kovu said that his mother, Zira, raised him to think Simba was the enemy, and that is what happened in the movie, also Kiara said that Zira and the other Outlander lions tried to invade the Pridelands, but Kovu and Kiara stopped them and the Outlanders turned against Zira. Then the lions joined Simba's pride and Kovu mates with Kiara becoming the heir, and when Kion returns in Lion Guard it shows a painting that Rafiki did, it showed Kiara facing her farther and her pride and Kovu facing his mother and the Outlander lions, that was also an event in the movie. I think if there is another move about Kiara then Kion will probably not be in it either beacause in the end episode of Lion Guard Kion went back to the tree of life and mated with the queen, Rani, and ruled alongside her. So there is my theory!👍

Disney is not going that dark anymore to have Kion die. More than likely he left to have his own pride. Especially if Kiara was inheriting the throne, Kovu would be king. Taking over would mean killing or running out his sister's man. So it makes sense at some point he left. Especially after the Disney references in the recent Lion Guard episode.

At the end of Season 3, of the Lion Guard, Kion went to the Tree of Life to heal his scar, and met Queen Rani, and they fell in love. So Kion was crowned King of the Tree of Life, while Rani was his mate.

Can you explain why in the live action scar says: “You chose mufasa over me” maybe scar was with Sarabi?

I don’t think Kion technically left the Pride Lands completely and definitely didn’t give up his position as leader of the Lion Guard either. When Mufasa and Scar were King of the Pride Lands, during their reigns there were other male lions in the pride and there is evidence of that. During Mufasa’s reign, Scar was the leader of the Lion Guard and his was made up of other lions, whether these included of all male lions or a mix of genders isn’t explicitly said but Rafiki’s drawing does show four male lion figures along with Scar. Also it’s key to point out that Nala’s father was another male lion besides Mufasa and usually in the wild when one male lion comes in and pushes out the previous male, that new male will kill the new cubs but that’s not case here. Nala was born into the pride by another a male besides Mufasa and Scar which means that when Simba and Nala were cubs there were more than 2 male lions in the pride. During Scar’s reign it’s a little more hazy as to what was the gender make up of the Pride was but there is evidence that there was at least another male during Scar’s reign. Vira’s cubs Nuka and Vitani are her’s and Scar’s, but Kovu isn’t Scar’s cub. That means that at some point, Vira went with another male who must’ve in the pride at the time and had Kovu. In real lion prides with more than one male who aren’t related, it’s not uncommon for a lioness to go with one and then go with the other. But now what about Kion, what happened to him in the Lion King 2? Personally I believe that it’s more like this: Kion is still part of the pride but he’s not around as much. With lions in real life, if more than one male is in a pride then at least one of the males will usually go and patrol the pride’s territory. And if the pride is especially large then their territory will be as well which is why many male lions don’t finish patrolling until after a couple of days to up to a week at times. With Simba being the current King his duty would be to protect the pride at all times; Kovu will be the next King of the Pride Lands when Kiara is made Queen but until then his place is also with the pride, so to protect the pride on the outskirts of their territory that job would likely go with Kion. It’s sad that Kion is the one who in a sense has to do the dirty work but it suits him and explains why he wouldn’t be in the movie: the Pride Lands are MASSIVE so no doubt it’d take a long time probably a couple of days to check the borders of the territory; that along with Kion’s duty as leader of the Lion Guard means that he’d be spending A LOT of time out in the Pride Lands ensuring everything is safe. And no doubt in Lion King 2, when he’s older he has more responsibilities. So in a sense the phrase, “All work and no play...”, seems to fall in line with Kion and why he probably isn’t around the pride as much anymore now that he has a greater responsibility as leader of the Lion Guard now that he’s older. But my main point here was that Kion wouldn’t leave the pride, instead he’s acting as the pride’s protector from the outside.

If you listen to the lyrics of "It Is Time," you basically hear a reprise of "Kion's Lament," sung from the perspective of an adult lion. "It is time To face the world on my own It is time For something bigger than I've ever known ."

Well lemme explain, When Kion was informed that Zira and her lions are attacking in the episode Journey to the Pride Lands, He leaves the tree of life. Then in the Return to the pride lands, He gives his role as leader of the lion guard to Vitani and goes back to the Tree Of Life and gets married to Rani, The queen of the tree of life.

The Lion King 2: 1998 The Lion Guard: 2016 Thats why Kion wasnt on Lion King 2, bc disney created Kion after the movie, so they put Kion in Kiara's and Simba family to dont create another long lion family story and make a movie and etc.

People we need to bombard Disney with letters saying we want to see another Lion King movie. The movie needs to include flashbacks of the past between Mufasa and scar and their father. The secrets of what happened to kopa. Scenes showing Scar and Zira together. A little bit of background Kovu plus the Rogue lion and another male cub from one of the Disney books would be great. Glimpses of Sarabi and her siblings. To see more of Nala's mom would be cool. I want to see scenes of Kion Kovu Vitani Kiara as Cubs &adults during the time of Simba's Pride movie let's not forget Nuka. They could also include Rina and her night Pride. It could be the gap-filling sequel. Cuz I would totally pay to see that kind of sequel!!! It would be nice if Disney did their homework on their own work including things with their labels on it to make sure they got it right! And listen to their Lion King fans would pay off to!

I honestly just think that Disney hadn't created Kion in Lion King 2 yet. But they did do a really good job patching up the holes in the Lion Guard. The theory makes sense too it's just if they had already created him he would probably be in the Lion King 2.

Zazu will always be my favorite Lion King character. I always thought the "live-action" version of that movie was terrible, but hearing that Rowan Atkinson wasn't going to play Zazu crossed the line.

TLG fan here, it is stated that kion missed his sister’s first hunt while he was healing from his new scar from Ushkari, when he returned Vitani lead a new lion guard, Kiara and Kovu were mated and (possibly) king and queen, kion left to join Rani and became her mate at The Tree Of Life

The reasoning for Kion not being in The Lion King 2 is simple. That being the reason that the character of Kion not being created yet. This is a brand new series with new characters and the presence of Kion was never planned until recently for this tv show. When TLK2 came out, Kion never existed.
