Chaos Energy works in mysterious ways, it's not his fault he doesn't turn into a Super Saiyan rip-off like all the Hedgehogs do. Plus, Boom Super Knuckles would squash them Super Hedgehogs if the Emeralds existed in boom. In all fairness though, the Emeralds are quite random with whatever they touch. It can turn metal into a golden hue, create random birds to balance the energy of Super Tails and continuously turns Hedgehogs golden while Knuckles is the only one to turn both pink and green.
