Hi, my lovely Minjions!
In this video, I've delved into the reasons behind the abundance of coffee shops in Korea.
Feel free to explore why cafes are so prevalent here.
Additionally, I've covered various Korean words and expressions related to coffee.
1. 고소하다 - nutty
* 커피 맛이 고소해요. (The coffee flavor is nutty.)
2. 시다 - sour
* 커피 맛이 셔요. (The coffee taste is sour.)
3. 산미가 있다 - (Literally) There is acidity
* 산미가 있는 커피예요. (This coffee has acidity.)
4. 당을 충전하다 - to recharge sugar levels
* 디저트 먹으면서 당 충전하자. (Let's recharge our sugar levels with some dessert.)

Thankfully I'm not a 'CAFE' person, usually their food and drinks are quite expensive (in Korea). Yup I'm broke hahahaha

For me a Cafe and Coffee Shop are not the same. Cafe for me serves food and their coffee is not the reason you go there. Meanwhile, a coffee shop is a shop for coffee. They barely have food and you go there because of the coffee. I used to think Cafe and Coffee Shops were the same thing. I'm in the USA.

So on average almost a cup a day? That isn't really a lot, and I imagine the world average is pulled down by non-coffee drinking nations... in fact, a quick check shows that coffee is not that popular in China, where 18% of the world's population consume less than 2% of the world's coffee. A little more research tells me that Korea is not even in the top 25 for per capita consumption. But that being said, they do drink it with style....
