Players have noticed that Kaiju Universe can't use Godzilla characters and instead had to replace them all with original reskins, but that other games do have Godzilla. In this video, I explain why there's no Godzilla in Kaiju Universe, but there is in other games.

Even though we sadly probably won’t have the Godzilla kaijus back for a long time or forever. We still get these awesome unique kaijus that I really like the designs of. Like look at the new Scylla! So yea, the game is still going to be really fun , just a little different.

Just want to point out that you CAN use Godzilla, but he's trademark, meaning you CAN'T use him to make money. You'll need a license for that. KU was basically making money from the gamepass, which required players to use real money to get robux to unlock the gamepass Kaiju.

As far as I'm concerned to issues relating to the game and Toho, I think it was a bit of a mild decision to bring Kaiju Universe back before they even got a license. Even before it's return, I had the feeling that the game would have a burst of popularity, but it would dissipate and empty out quickly without Godzilla. Current player counts makes me realize my thought was correct. Before the shutdown, KU had on average between 8,000-10,000 players. Now, it only has about 1,500-2,000 players. It gives me the thought that the worst-case situation for the game may end up being reality. Without Godzilla in the long run, the game will fail. I know they developers are working hard to get an official license from Toho and respect their dedication for their game. The question remains is when and if they can get the license before it's too late.

My theory: Toho only really cares about kaiju universe as it was actively harming the Godzilla brand with a toxic fanbase, a bad game, and exploitative owners, along with grinding as much money as possible. Meanwhile other games basically stopped as much gaining money as possible, promote Godzilla a LOT, and genuinely help the franchise. Also there is an official game by Legendary

Why can’t they use legendary originals? Like Scylla, Behemoth, Shimo or Tiamat. Unless if Legendary is like TOHO and sends out DMCA strikes. True but you will never know if one of the people that works for Toho plays the game and sees all the Godzilla kaiju in there they will tell the owner and the game will get deleted again that is the same reason how kaiju universe got tooken down in the first place

@@Shadowolf593not really, the others kaiju games are alive because they not out of Copyright law And yes, every game that was selling gamepasses got down by toho because they were out of Copyright law Proofs: games that wasnt selling gamepasses like kaiju attack sim and kaiju kewl could survive (kewl got privated by his onwer because he was scared of losing his account)
