What makes him more interesting was because he was put into settings/situations that are interesting and his interactions with new characters are also interesting like phantom troupe and the princes 😂 But in general, he is very tropey as a character. Imo ✌️

I have always said Kurapika is the best character in HXH. My personal favourite will always be Hisoka though.

People who think bringing a shovel to a fight was the most badass thing ANY character could do to their opposition, let me just say that in the 1999 version, Kurapika took the disrespect to another level...by PRAYING on the downfall of his opposition AS IF to offer his opposition one final prayer BEFORE taking his life. Oh, and the dialogue that Kurapika gave to the one Mafia guy that took shots at Nostrade, you know the one with the Wario nose and stuff...yeah he said, 「得け」 (meaning Move!!) And before he could even finish his sentence, Kurapika said, 「止めてロケ。今の私に囲われない。」 (sorry if any of the kanji is wrong. I'm going off of what I'm hearing. Whoever has the correct kanji can correct me in a response.) [Edit: the Wario nose mafia guy's name is Zenji.] The literal translation is, "Stop. The me of now don't mess with." The practical saying is, "You better stop barking. I'm not in the mood, so don't fuck around with me."...and he had Wario-nose man SHOOK!! Plus the eyes were blood-red in color in the 1999 version.

Why does nobody thinks ever that kurapika is a conjurer and could have conjued the shovel just in that moment?

@@IndyGW2 1) in both versions (2011 and 1999), he only studied the properties of chains damn near religiously. A conjured shovel from Kurapika would just look more chain-like if he did conjure one up, and the wooden aspect would not have a quality look to it, let alone a quality feel. 2) Even if he CAN create a shovel from nen, close to perfection, even, it would take up energy that he needed to get back to his hotel. Remember that unless you make say knives for a living, you will always exhaust more energy creating the first knife, as an example. 3) It IS possible, but then the disrespect wouldn't be as hard as when he brought it with him.

@@anthonymartinez6875 that's just a supposition, a skilled conjurer like himself could easily conjure one, the answer should be: 1 It is more absurd for him to carry a shovel 2 It is more absurd to conjure one 3 Togashi didn't think about it (most likely lol) I like the meme of the shovel but I don't think Togashi actually thought about it

@@IndyGW2 same here honestly. Togashi tends to forget a few things here and there, though it's not as bad as Toriyama. You do have a point in that Kurapika is skilled. That's why I added point #3. You're right, but if you're ever canonically right, it's gonna take away the disrespect element, and we're too all in on that disrespect for Togashi to change that like how he rewired the Nen affinities in recent conventions.

Gon sucks compared to Kurapika. Gons literally just a cookie cutter shonen character. Kurapikas way more complex

The thing about hunter X hunter is actually there isn’t just one mc, people just assume it’s gon but in reality gon killua kurapika and even hisoka and leorio. So yeah kurapika is a legit mc

actually to wrap up the point, the mcs have the same number day and month as their birthdays, so if u see a character with the same number come up in future, then theyll be a mc too, but for now its just the 5.

Kurapika isnt even better than Kuroro. Actually, Kurapika only is "interesting" BECAUSE of Kuroro's parallels.

His existence is the reason Kuroro exist 🙂 that makes his storyline and all characters included in his storyline “interesting” because of him. Otherwise, the spider’s plot is irrelevant.
