Back for some more late night vibes (my new favorite thing!) at Disneyland. Started our evening off with a lovely tour of Main Street before heading to Fantasyland. I would have been happy doing any of a dozen things there that night, but we opted for a late night run on Casey Jr. Then over to Adventureland to check out the treehouse at night and a rarity for me. A night run on the Jungle Cruise and a delicious snack at Tropical Hideaway.

Mark Twain or Jungle Cruise? Jungle cruise is easy as it is almost 24/7. The Mark Twain is rare. I can only recall 1 time riding at night, it was AWESOME, everything is lit and casts a shadow that makes it so different. Wish that would be a regular thing. @@Cyb3rpunk117

I have a real soft spot for late nights at Disney. It originated from when our kids were really young and my husband and I would take turns. One of us would put the kids to bed back at the hotel while the other got 4 or 5 blissful hours riding anything that they wanted after putting in some serious time on 'It's a Small World' or the Storybook boats during the day. I love running around til midnight. I think it will always be my favourite time to be at the park.

Agreed! I LOVE staying out at the parks late. Shorter lines, possible private rides, less families and kids out, and nighttime at Disneyland in general is so magical!

I went on my first ever night ride of the Jungle Cruise a couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by different jokes. My favorite in the elephant section the tour guide said that he heard rumors that late at night, if you listen real closely, you can hear a baby elephant crying out for his mother. He turned the boat and lights off and a few seconds later a voice from the jungle yells out "Hey Ma!" in a New York accent. I lost it.

They are the absolute best way to experience Disneyland in my opinion. And if its at Christmas, there is nothing better in this world.

Disneyland at night is the best. Most everything has a very different vibe at night, truly a magical experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime 😊

One of my favorite late night memories was getting on the wildest ride in the wilderness with a random group of ten 20-something guys, who started an enormous train and loading area wide chant: “WHEN I SAY THUNDER YOU SAY MOUNTAIN!” “THUNDER” literally everybody: “MOUNTAIN!!!” over and over until the train moved and everyone broke out into cheering and clapping

Thank you for a another fun video! I absolutely love Disney when it's late and park is lit up so beautifully. Casey Jr, Storybook , and Casey Junior are my favorite late night rides in Fantasy Land, and so is the jungle cruise and the Train around Disneyland. If I go with my little one we fit in Dumbo at night as well. It's so nice to see all the lights down below. Closing down the park is one of my favorite things. Love to power walk to that last attraction by midnight. There's still time on the clock if in line by midnight. Lol so much fun! 🤗

FreshBaked. David, these late night sojourn's at Disneyland are fast becoming a weekly must see not just for you but for all of us. It keeps me for one, up way past my bedtime. David, the Lumpia’s from Tropical Hideaway were one of my foodie highlights my last visit to the parks this past spring. The vibes back there are so awesome. Like an extension of the tiki room vibes. The music, the smell, the hum of the Jungle cruise boats. I can’t wait to get back there.

Aloha Dave..My mom and dad always liked staying late..like closing time when we went as kids..and I still love doing it at 70 years old... Casey Jr is one of my favs at night but so is Story Book Boats...the entire park take on a diferent note at night and the later you stay the texture just gets better... BTW..I love these videos David! Yes a great Skipper on JC..

It's crazy how lite up the sky is from the cities ambient light. I'll be there in a couple weeks, live to close the parks, such a great vibe vibe. Especially love to walk around star wars. It's empty early.

Yes yes yes! One of my absolute favorite Disneyland days was when I went last fall on a Sunday afternoon and evening. It felt like after fireworks it was lovely jungle cruise big thunder etc at night!

Thank you David. This video was some of the best I’ve seen. Enjoyed just riding along with you. I live in Arizona and used to purchase annual passes and would visit the parks five or six a year. Not sure when we will return. Right now I feel that they have priced me out. In the meantime I’ll keep enjoying the park through your videos. Keep up the amazing work!!!

As a kid I had to go home with my grandma after a last hotdog around 5 to get grandpa’s dinner. Last time 1976. Didn’t go back to DL for 25 yrs, with my own kids, til 2000, and always took the kids to see fireworks, even sleeping in a stroller. Couldn’t bear them to possibly miss out… or myself! They often took a nap on the train loop last thing ;) (That said, we always, and still, had/have a nice midday nap!) My daughter is now 24 & our favorite thing is to close out the park, even when, or esp when, we can barely walk to our hotel…. Just can’t say goodbye to the day…

We took our 5 year old daughter to Disneyland yesterday for her first visit and she had a blast! We stayed till the end of the fireworks and it was packed, elbow to elbow with people from the castle to where we were standing near the pumpkin there on Main Street. Can’t believe there still was that many people still in the park when you arrived given how many were leaving after the fireworks. Also I was surprised at the amount of people there in the park period, but the lines moved fairly quickly for the rides. We went on Pirates of the Caribbean twice within 2 hours, once at 2pm and again at 4pm. Sign said 50 minutes both times, was on the ride in 30 minutes 👍. Haunted Mansion was 90 to 120 minutes wait, but we had Genie +. We arrived at the park at 10am and secured a reservation for the Haunted Mansion for 6:30pm. Checked the reservation time again at 11am, next reservation was 11pm, filled up fast. Matterhorn had a consistent hour and a half to 2 and a half hour wait time.

I'm visiting Dec 18-20 and am worried about the crowds. I usually go to WDW. I have a 3 day park hopper with Genie + and not sure if I sure park hop everyday. I know I need to be flexible but like to make my plans! I'm hoping you can help me with ideas as we get into the Christmas season.

I'm sure Dave can give you better advice, but the last time I had a 3-Day visit, I did one park one day, another the next, and then hopped on the 3rd day.

We are east coasters. We don’t usually park hop Disneyland is a full day. DCA depends on crowds and how the day flows but take that park in and explore it. 2 days I would hope 3 maybe not. But it’s amazing we were hooked now go every year even got a magic key last November

I always do Park hoppers since I never know what mood I'll be in or what the crowds will be like throughout the day. It's not like you have to wait in humid weather 20 minutes for a 20 minute bus to get to another park. You just walk next-door if you're in the mood for a ride/land/show

Usually 11pm on weekdays and 12m on weekends. The actual hours have not been announced yet by Disneyland.

I wake up at night with nightmares that Disney plans to find something politically incorrect about Casey Jr and either re-theme it to something unrecognizable like what happened to Splash Mountain or rip it out entirely. It’s Terrible.

The old Disney, I agree. The "New" Disney where everything goes now, is for me, the worst time. We use to stay until closing, but now the teens and many Adults don't seem to understand that the Park was built for "Families" and Children in mind. I have seen to many things that belong in the Bedroom there, and many things that are a bad example for Kids. Now we stay until just before the Fireworks, as those can be seen from our Hotel.
