nah,once people split it never works when they get back together; the old resentments and reasons remain and it's only a matter of time before they resurface; anyway,reading what i did here i wouldn't want to reunite with someone like that anyway; moving on can be a wonderful thing,but hopefully they remain friends :)

Why would you say something like that? What do you know about him? There are lots of things that make a man, and you also have to be man enough to end a relationship when it's not working.

Thanks for asking but there’s one thing I know about Men is if they really want to commit to a woman and get married they will not wait 11 years to figure that out. I say his selfish he wants only the convenience of the relationship he don’t want the messy part of being married. His selfish because he exactly know Lauren wants to have a family or have children but he didn’t let her go soon enough and wasted 11 years of her youth. If you notice on her interview with Ellen about her thoughts if they have plans of getting married her answer says it all. I really feel bad for her. She should have left him long time ago. 11 years is too much time for woman to wait for a ring!

@@Maya-yp2ey Well Maya, I absolutely agree with you. She should have left him a long time ago. We often blame the guy when he doesn't want to commit to a woman in marriage, but we forget that the woman also chooses to stay with the guy for a long period of time, knowing well that they have a biological clock ticking (if they want to have children) and anything else they want to accomplish. But not everyone believes in marriage. We don't know if this marriage business is something they discussed earlier in their relationship, and if she knew already that he didn't want to get married. We don't know that. Maybe she knew that and decided to stay with him anyway. My point is, you don't judge whether a man is a real man because he chooses to get married or not. Maybe he saw things in her or in the relationship that wasn't convenient. Maybe he prioritized his son over getting married again. There are lots of men out there not taking care of their kids. Now that I say takes a real man to be able to do it. I do think it's unfortunate that she didn't get to have any kids or get a ring on her finger in 11 years, but as a woman, you have to be able to make the decision to stay or leave too. Call me old fashioned, but this is why I don't think couples should live together unless they get married first. That's what I was taught anyway, and it's for a reason.

These types of stories make me happy that I dated much older men for most of my 20’s. It taught me to make sure I get out of the relationship what I want. It’s nice to have fun, etc but 10+ years of your life with someone to finally figure out you’re not on the same page. Yikes!! It’s hard to move on especially when you’re comfortable but you gotta do it, if it’s not what you want. I hope she finds her person.

I hope she doesn’t regret not having a child. I wonder was that his idea?

@@bcent5758 - It really wasn’t either of their idea. In her book, she says that when she moved to LA to pursue acting full time, she was in a relationship with a really great guy, but she wasn’t ready to settle down, and he was…he deserved someone who wanted the same things, along the same time frame, as him. So they broke up. And she was single for a very long time after that - focusing on work, mainly. She says one day she “looked up” and all of her friends were married & having babies, and she was still single. She started to realize that she might not end up in a traditional personal situation. She went on a lot of dates, she had friends who were constantly setting her up with guys, but she never felt that overwhelming connection to anyone. Essentially she says “the thing is, I’m ok being single…and so are you…” and life doesn’t always happen the way you want it to, but it does happen the way it’s supposed to. She is very close to a lot of personal friends who have children, and family with children, so she has always been surrounded by the joy that children bring, and has been able to watch them grow…to be part of it. She was raised by a single father in a rather untraditional environment, which I think has impacted her thought process when it comes to starting a family, but basically she just says that she never really planned for, or against, having children. If the time was right & she was with someone who wanted kids, it was a discussion she was open to, but it wasn’t a need that was ever going to rule her life, or her decision making. If it happened, she’d be good with it, but if it didn’t, she’d be okay with that, too.

Being stuck in the same house for a long time will cause tension between couples and it could break them 🤷🏻‍♀️ and in her case them being apart for 5 months also could break them up

Everybody is different, are effected differently by situations.

My husband and I were already together 24/7 when Covid hit. We learned that he was in Stage 4 liver disease and began home hospice. We couldn't have been closer. We had time to talk and get everything on our minds out in the open before he passed. He's been gone 15 months. We were together for 20 years. He was my best friend. Life is less colorful without him. I'm grateful that I had him in my life. I know what true love really is.
