Ignorant tho chelsea have not much scope for growth, they have already become one of the top clubs in the football world... liverpool in 2011 was a very different side
@@kumaransivan9688 not really there are still many growth opportunities, super league etc. obviously it won’t be as easy to make the profits that Lebron did but there 100% is a lot of growth left for these top clubs
Vegas would have been a sports town if it weren't for the various major leagues' reluctance to have a franchise in the capital of sports betting. In hindsight it was silly.
@@slllloraxxx well for the NBA it was because of the 2007 all star weekend, hundreds were arrested and generally the press was negative because of that. If that is not the case an expansion team to Vegas might have happen maybe 5-10 years ago.
Liv was bought for $480 million but now will be worth $4 billion. Made 733% profit in 10 years. But they are doing it in a sustainable way investing in infrastructure, academy, stadium etc. So kudos to them.
the thing they never realize is sports teams are unprofitable teams spend more in salary than what they earns in sponsorships and broadcasting rights that's why the former liverpool owner goes bankrupt as the only time you'll make money is by selling the team to another victim that's why instead of lebron accepting that deal he should've talked with warren buffett as the miracle of omaha is willing to buy his image rights and lebron can own steaks in berkshire hathaway and be a multi billionaire in no time

I think they could have added the point that Paris is a fashion capital. And Paris always had a strong sneaker culture and it pushes both PSG and Jordan with each other's fans !
Suggesting PSG are big because of collaboration rather than the billions of euros poured in to them for transfers is a little ridiculous. Also, despite not having won a European trophy they have competed to a high level for them more than ever
That’s true but he was talking about their growth as a brand too, and the deals and tapping in with brands like Jordan and Bape has increased their recognition outside of the football sphere. People who don’t care about football know about these shirts just cause their big street wear. But yeah it’s definitely not the main reason
@@jacekkaplon200 even the business deals and brand growth is helped a lot when you buy players like Neymar and Messi who are some of the most known Athletes in the world. Without those big player purchases the growth wouldn't be nearly as big
3:53 he bought the shares in 2011, long before Klopp was there, so showing him in this context is kind of wrong in my opinion. Regarding why/how PSG became so big: buying top players with money from the filthy rich owners obviously. Without them PSG would not play a big role in international football and would thus be not interesting for people and other companies to collaborate with.

Recently chris Paul and two other athletes from USA invested in one of the cricket club(Rajasthan royals) in IPL . They have vision of growth man . The way IPL have grown it's worth it on long term i blv. Let's see how it goes
Im a motion graphic designer and i do lots and lots of video Editing in this type , i know how hard it is to do these transitions , , the quality is amazing , keep up , ur so good , i hope i work with someday
Love this channel but you gotta give hockey some love. When you were talking about sports franchises in Vegas you mentioned f1, nfl, and a possible MLS team and neglected their most popular team- the Vegas golden knights
Great video ! Really shows the smart mind behind Lebron James and his post-nba retirement plans in the business market. It will be really nice whenever they finally release a Liverpool X Lebron collab.
Well, PSG made several high profile transfers TBH. I don't think they got big because of sponsorship. Nor do I think that's a real thing in football. They were Ronaldinho's first international team back in 2001.
Vegas also has NHL. I had the idea FSB would buy something in Boston instead of Vegas, but it would be weird Bron literally owning a part of the Celtics.
Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Raiders, potential destination for Oakland Athletics, potential MLS team, potential NBA team, F1 race. Everybody filing in to Las Vegas
no he isnt. he tried to turn our sport into the american nba/nfl model. look up the European Super League, it was met with major backlash and riots from English fans because this stupid idea of him, FSG, and other american owners was going to ruin our sport.
Smart for themselves as an investors, the fact that they also an athlete of sport it's a different thing and might not fully understand it, after all the American call Liverpool as a soccer club not a football club 😁
Exactly, If I won the lottery, I'd buy Newport County, and underwrite their development on and off the pitch - not for profit, just to put them in a better position to push on. My dream wouldn't be to get them into the Prem, but to do what the owners can't (it's fan owned), most important of which is build them a stadium (which if done properly should pay for itself over 10-15 years), so the Exiles can finally come home.
One mistake made by fsg & Liverpool in my view (white european) they neglected Africa and maybe just maybe they could also have tested the middle east with maybe salah (i know he is african but somewhat fits the arabian/persian type ) even if they have the oil clubs holding that market.we gave east Asia a try at least.
@@exgardevior sadly true but its still a big market overall and to think that we have 2 of the best from Africa playing for us and quite well and not to use that i think its a shame,as for asia who knows maybe one day ,be sure theres scouts in those parts from every big teams.
@@ierbutza21 Yes Africa is a big market but it means nothing to businesses like FSG if the fan purchasing power is not there, FSG can't change the situation even with Salah and Mane.
France alone has a bigger GDP than Africa, Africa just haven't got the economic might to justify short term strategy hopefully it would be in the future
_"It's like making a RU-vid video where you talk about a famous football club and a big basketball star at the same time to get the maximum views."_ Hmmm, this is surely a great idea. Imagine if someone made a video of how LeBron james has got a stake in Liverpool FC. Can't lie I would watch, like and share that video with some of my friends. It would be a banger with nice edits as well I can envision it already lol 😆
This is a long-term deal and a very smart use of influencers in sports marketing. THE LOGIC: Leverage star power to increase the appeal and drive merchandise sales for Liverpool FC. Like Jordan, LeBron has a following scalped from Basket Ball fans and the general public across the globe mainly through digital platforms and social media. This is the target market of Sports Marketers who want to appeal to the diverse demographics of people that athletes influence. SMART MOVE
I think there was one interview where they asked him a few questions regarding the team or club and he gave very non-specific and general answers and sounded like he doesnt watch that much football
All this stems from him rubbing elbows with Jay-Z and Warren Buffet from an early age. They taught him the importance of making himself into a brand. You're always worth more as a brand versus being a household name.
Like the other popular clubs such as Manchester United, they have more international fans than their own local supporters. Their market isn't limited by geography.
Liverpool alone is bigger than the whole NHL worldwide base on sale of their merchandise, worldwide fanbase, list goes on. I personally not a fan of hockey, football is the greatest sport
The question is : will we see Lebron James wearing liverpool kit again in the future? Now he trade his ownership of liverpool to ownership of FSG, he probably doesn't have any obligations to promote LFC in public anymore.
I've been excited over this partnership ever since it began. But besides from the occasional insta post I don't see anything from this partnership. I was expecting a lot but it's been underwhelming so far
Man United will probably play at Anfield if their stadium is being relaid and revamped. Why ? Man United and Liverpool have a great and strong relationship dating back decades. Let's not forget that the greatest British manager was former Liverpool captain Sir Matt Busby. Besides, with Gerrard odds on to get the Man United job and local lad Rooney the favorite and front runner for the Melwood role once (Klopp departs, that is), the time for the two historic clubs to come closer is nearing. #GGMU ❤️ #YNWA
@@AthleticInterest I love business and I didn't know anything about the Sporting Business, so I'm very happy finding these videos. I can connect the dots with other industries
this is factually wrong; he invested $2MM and that portion is now worth $37MM, still not a bad investment. The remainder was invested in Fenway with John Henry and thats where he made what is now a total of $100MM
Sorry to burst the bubble but as an NBA fan they will not bring a team to Vegas. There are two main reasons for this. One Seattle is a way better choice their are fans from the supersonic days who still beg for a NBA team. Two the last time that the NBA came to Vegas for an all-star game it went terrabily. So Seattle is the smarter choice as it allows them to tap into that market and it boost reputation the NBA listening to its fans instead money means that people are more likley to be forgiving.
One of the missed opportunities of lebron james. If he invested for 1% into MU, he ll get more than if invested 2% in liverpool as MU (under Glazers) is always better than FSG liverpool
