I'm African American but I been living in Liberia since 2008..Yes I go back to the US every rainy season...First, Liberian women are the Pride of Liberia in my opinion..The women do better then the men in Liberia and in the US when given a fair chance....The men are the cause of the Corruption in Liberia, The men don't have Standards,...So when they go to the states the See Standards in others then themselves...When I say say themselves I mean they see everything outside of Liberia as better..You ladies know that everything from the states in Liberia is considered better although most times its not... Its because Liberians see America as better so why wouldn't a man see other women then Liberian women as better...? I am a Liberian who dates outside the Liberian community and will tell you this for sure! My personal experience with Liberian women been everything but pleasant.
We are all human no matter what the culture is, women around the world are faced with men leaving their culture for others also women are doing the same. there's no one culture that men or women are subjected to. I believe what's for you will come to you and no one in this world can change that no matter what the culture is. What God has open for you no one can shut, whom God has for you no one can take. I’ve dated a Liberian man for three years and haven’t called the cops on him, not sure where that came from. He’s extra too, but I’ve never called the cops. He’s not good at showing his emotions and trust me, we have issues, same as any other relationship. He cooks for me, he cleans, we just have communication issues. Let me tell you as a white woman from europe married to a liberian since 2009 . When my Husband was struggling all the liberian sisters did not want to have nothing to do with him. They wanted to have the rich man who is working. When that woman then brush the man up and he becomes someone then the liberian girl know him. Don't forget also i was praying night and day that my husband would change it is not we did not have problems ... Sometimes you need to fight you battle on your knees. There is nothing special on other woman it is also the way how your husband grows up. I also kook clean even liberian food and speak the kollo without no propblem. I got my own county chicken 😂😂😂
Thanks for touching on this topic. Although I live in the part of America that I don't get to see Liberian, Africans, or Hispanics. I live with weird white people. I'm planning to move all the way to Minnesota next year, if I find somewhere good to live over there.
The values may differ. But the issues are basically the same regardless of where you are in the world. Some of the upbringing may be different. Many African America Women grow up with a different value system. Some are taught to be independent so that they don't have to depend on a man. Then others are taught the importance of family and how to be a wife. I grew up in a home with both values.

I've done a lot of studying about Liberia because it is very interesting on the history of the first blacks from America to go there The Americo-Liberian settlers did not relate well to the indigenous peoples they encountered, especially those in communities of the more isolated "bush". The colonial settlements were raided by the Kru and Grebo from their inland chiefdoms. Americo-Liberians developed as a small elite that held on to political power. I don't think God likes black people because it looks like they're having a really rough time over there I wish I could visit and meet me a beautiful black queen
