Why Lifeboat Network Sucks... (Minecraft Bedrock) 

I need to say this to you guys: *please do not send hate or otherwise berate current or former staff members of Lifeboat. At the end of the day, they are humans, just like us. There are most likely things going on behind the scenes that we don't know about, and it just makes things worse for everyone if there's unnecessary hate spread around as a result of this video and the community's perception of the server. I criticized Lifeboat extremely harshly in this video because I used to love this server, and I ultimately want to see it do better. That is not an open invitation for you guys to send hate to Lifeboat. So don't, please and thank you.*

Lifeboat was the first mcpe server I've ever played on, I remember waking up at 5 am just to play because the wifi was fast in the morning.

Sad to see a server once filled with fun and nostalgic memories turned into a cashgrab server.

Wow. I remember the beach lobby map. That was my favorite map. It had many secrets and such. My favorite gamemode was always Capture the flag. Sad to see the problems overtake the server.

i remember when i was younger that i had literally no idea that you could add servers, i thought that the featured servers were the only ones (so i only had like 4 servers to choose from). i still remember that lifeboat was my least favorite, generally due to all the lag (it would take a solid minute to queue into any game)

Yeah, the downfall of lifeboat is very sad to me because I used to play a lot of SG at its peak in late 2014-2015 so much that I rose to the top of the leaderboards in overall wins (or kills, i cannot remember) for a few weeks. It was a moment where I had a lot of fun till Mojang partnered with Microsoft and all of the PC players joined which as a result, caused most of the competitive mobile players including myself to drop out of the top 20 because having 10-20 cps on a mouse is an overwhelming advantage over tapping so yeah, i miss having a server and Minecraft bedrock as mobile exclusive or I should say Minecraft Pocket Edition. I also miss the times where players actually talked to each other in chat during the peak of lifeboat. There were roleplays, arguments and people talking and meeting in general. I made a lot of friends on the server during that time who i'm still friends with to this day. Honestly, It was super fun to have been a part of Lifeboat SG community at its peak as a competitive and chill player. I wish I could relive those memories and play on the server in 2014 again ^^.

Ahhh lifeboat. Man I remember lifeboat. I remember the fountain lobby back in 0.7.0. I absolutely loved the old 0.11.0 hub, the one with a cave, a cafeteria, and a huge tree on it, with the secret igloo. It made me became a lot more interactive and it felt magical in a way. Sad to see that Lifeboat became a lot more unoptimized. I also was one of Lifeboat’s Translator volunteers, but I quickly left due to me not having much time. Sad to see the server die away slowly :/

So a I played lifeboat creative probably around the time u made this video and loved tht I could purchase plots and have a build saved, I just recently returned and purchased a new plot and spent over an hour building something, I went to eat lunch and when I signed back into my plot the build was gone and my plot was reset, is this something new or am I possibly experiencing a bug

Still remember when there was this hunter game with teams where you loot chests around the map for armor and resources and had massive teams where you can fight massive wars. It’s been years since I played it so I was confused when I went back in Lifeboat for the first time in years.

I miss the old lifeboat. The old lobby, the old servers, the old community, and back when survival mode had diamonds that were SUPER EASY to find! Those were the good old days. The ones that got me through quarantine.

Nostalgia hits so hard man...I remember you had to register before you get to play and all i played was lifeboat survival games in 2013 - 2016 then i moved to java then bedrock cs my pc was sold man times were good back then,no hackers and the community was really supported,but i gotta say if it wasnt for lifeboat i woudnt have these amazing memories....

This was my childhood man. I remember that I constantly rejoin back and forth on their Spleef server just to get that VIP+ bonus login so that I can get that Creeper morph thing and spam carpet bombs. I remember playing Capture The Flag and I'd always go and take the bottom route and then sneak my way into the enemy's house where the wools are and I remember that I would always get scared because of the overwhelming amount of players infront of you, and the only thing holding them down were a bunch of cobwebs. I remember that I was always scared of accidentally mistapping my crouch button and falling off the map in Skywars, especially in the map where you're on an Airport and the Bee one like in the video. I used to play Survival Games and then team with random players midway through the game, and when we got to the point where it was a deathmatch and there were only 2 or 3 or 4 of us left, there's always gonna be a sacrifice. On Bounty Hunter servers, I would also crossteam, not proud of it but would prefer to tell the truth than to lie, and I remember setting up bases in different parts of that Island map. I would even go on the ship and play pirates lol. God the lobby, I missed that as well. I would always go to the back, near the docks, break a specific block underneath and then go fall down to the "Secret Room". Sometimes I go to the bar and the beach as well. I used to play on this server just to escape reality and fully immerse myself. Thank you for making this video and telling me what it's become of it now, I'm not proud of it but I'm thankful that you helped and made me remember a part of my childhood. You earned a like.

Why is this crappy server featured but not other GOOD servers.

As a Lifeboat Veteran, I can agree with everything said here. I started playing on Lifeboat in like 2014 or 2015. A bit late, but I'm still from those times. What some may not know is that Lifeboat had a Java server up for a short time. But after awhile all but 1 of the minigames in the Java server were removed. And as a result, the Java server closed. This is mainly because of poorly done maintenance. When I revisited lifeboat last year in 2020 after a 2-year hiatus, it was different. Nothing felt the same. It wasn't the good old lifeboat I once knew. I loved lifeboat so much back then. My cousins loved it too. But now one of the cousins I played it with doesn't even like lifeboat anymore. And the other cousin I played with now just plays on Cubecraft or Hive. I play on Hive nowadays (I'm a Bedrock player) and its still pretty much the same. Lifeboat on the other hand is just dead. Theres some wisdom for ya right there.

I remember when I used to play with my friends on the server, wearing a skin which was a guy with headphones and a blue jacket, playing bedwars and survival games having fun even when I lost. Now the server has just gone downhill and it’s better to play MinePlex or The Hive than any of the games in LifeBoat

My favourite memory of LBSG was griefing in build battle. When LBSG first came out, TNT could destroy blocks in build battle, and not just blocks on your plot. You could create TNT cannons and blast through the walls of the game and blow up other people’s builds.

I played lifeboat so much from 2013 - 2017, I grinded skywars like crazy and spent so many hours of my day when I didn’t have school fighting people in bounty hunter, I can agree that this was THE bedrock server to be on, it shatters me whenever I log on there today and see the husk it has essentially become, hardly anything works and most of the games that were there back in the day are either gone or in maintenance

Let’s talk about my experience of life boat. I started playing Lifeboat at 4 years old. I played with my cousin and we had a blast. I would go to his apartment cause his parents would watch me and we both played LifeBoat. Spleef came out and he gave me his VIP+ account. I remember when vip+ was actually valuable and now it sucks. Few years later I was playing other servers + lifeboat. The game was getting worse and worse. Laggier and Laggier. Before Kaleb became owner, I was in a bounty lobby and saw the owner talking. A year ago I decided to become Beta for lifeboat. I got accepted and I was 12 at the time. They have such high expectations for you when you start like they think we can just do everything right away. One of the betas that got accepted went on skyblock and kept teleporting to players and stealing their items because they went to /lb beta mode. They also used /lb tp to teleport to players. The mod team sucks. I myself as a beta on my first day had to freaking report a player myself as a beta because the mods were too lazy touching their coks. Anyways a week later kaleb demoted me because everyone says I was the beta that abused. THEY DIDNT EVEN CHECK LOGS!!! Now you seee they don’t even care about their LifeBoat Team. Out of thousands of people that applied they chose me and 4-7 others. THEY DEMOTED ME WITHOUT FACT CHECKING. I was doing relatively well on SB and I had a lot of stuff too. Aside from staffing they ruined the game. They decided to take SB out of beta and just asked to either stay on your beta island or make a new island. LITERALLY NO ONE NEW PLAYED THE REGULAR SKYBLOCK. IT WAS THE SAME PLAYERS PLAYING THAT WRRE PLAYING BETA. THEY HAD SB FOR BETA FOR A YEAR AND THEY DECIDED THAT THEY WOULD REMOVE PEOPLES HARD WORK. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF ME TAKING MONTHS OF BUILDING A MAXED OUT CAC FARM THAT WAS LIKE 1000x1000 BLCOKS WIDE??!?! THIS IS MY Experience. -XxRealCheetahxX -VacuumCheetah12

Man this video was so well produced and by far my favorite one on your channel. However lifeboat is just sad.. It's sad how much they've fallen and how little they care about their community and staff but hopefully something positive comes out of this for them.

I know im reaching but does anyone else remember the individual servers too like sg99•lbsg or sg87•lbsg, every server having the same little group of a hundred people that would all chill in the lobby and chat, kinda cringey but would kill to experience that again R.I.P.

I remember there was a light house where we can use to parkour to climb the hill, theres a vip cafe, the beach with the parkour course, the library under spawn, THE TEAMING DURING SURVIVAL GAMES, And making a bunch of new friends, roleplaying at the lobby... The good old days :')

I remember when I used to play lifeboat on my iPad back in 2016, i had soo many good memories about it. Capture the Wool was my favorite, however their server was laggy as hell, players would basically teleport around and stuff, what i hated the most was when i was either trying to build myself up or make a bridge, the blocks would just disappear and i would fall down. At some point i even got banned from the server because the mods thought i was hacking. It's just sad that these mods are basically banning players for hacking when it's their server that is making these players walk in the air, teleport around the map, heavily delayed damage when they are being hit and all of that. Thank god i didn't spent my money on these VIP passes.

I used to play Lifeboat a long time ago it was fun but later it gets annoying because the server gets a bit laggy and it tp me back to where I was, I also tried to apply as Builder or Helper but they ignored the application I havent even heard anything since I had to wait 2 weeks for the response but they didn't response to me about the application. One thing I know about lifeboat is that if u break a block in SG in on of those map u get stuck and it is one of the most annoying thing about the map my POV was just in one direction where I was looking but if I look a direction it just set me to the position where I was looking and it very annoying in the game

I'm actually a bit stunned to see how majority of the players left when I started to play the game once again before quarantine started, but it's completely understandable. Still reminiscing the times I became one of the Top 20 in the monthly leaderboards for 2-3 consecutive months, times when the server still wasn't flooded with complaints. Really sad to see everything go downhill.

As a former Lifeboat mod, this is all 100% true. I left Lifeboat cause they just kept getting worse and worse, and at this point the server is just awful and unplayable lol

I still can’t believe that MOJANG themselves, have this as a featured server, there’s only 3 servers I play, Mineplex, for TurfWars, block hunt (Which I think is better then hives blockhunt), cubecraft, for blockwars, bridges, and hive, for literally anything else, but the fact that Mojang have such a laggy unrefined server featured really bothers me,

I am currently a volunteer on Lifeboat and the administration is terrible. It takes about a month for a bug to get fixed.

It sucks cuz when I was playing Survival Mode (which they let us have again) I kept getting kicked for "movement cheats". Like, I play on mobile and I didn't do anything that I can think of other than spawning in a block or the ladder glitching so I take damage when I go down. They need to fix their bots, but I doubt they will.

Apocalypse in 2017-2018 used to be the best mode on there you had to build in the dark with a group of people to stay alive from constant zombie, spider, skeleton bombardment then out of nowhere they decided to overhaul it to boring defend water tower in the day time
