@@xir00 I'm sorry but this just isn't true. Uzi fans don't hate him, he probably has over 30 million fans all over the world and most of them love him. The problem is that he takes to the heart what 10 000 twitter/reddit idiots with no future have to say about his music because he thinks their words represent the whole fanbase which is obviously false. That's like letting 5 bad seconds ruin your whole day. Imo he should just stop listening to his fans and do his own thing, like what he's doing rn with Barter 16
Its looking like Carti is the only one thats gonna make it out of the soundcloud generation in the long run. Everyone else either died, fell off or just dont know what to do. Carti really the only one who innovates and keeps doing different stuff without giving a fuck what people think. All the other soundcloud rappers seem scared of public opinion and dont actually drop the music they like.
21 savage and uzi are still bigger tna carti , how is carti the only one ?? EA hit 4 billion streams in 2022 and wlr only hit 2 billion recenlty , so commercially uzi is gonna survive the long run what are you talking about
@@leen908 They're bigger and more mainstream but that doesnt mean theyre currently as successful or influential. Uzi is the most mainstream SoundCloud rapper and look at the reception of his albums after Luv is Rage 2. EA and Pink Tape were both received poorly in general. And most people don't even know the names of 21s newest albums. Now I love those albums but the general narrative around u on social media really makes or breaks your success or how important u are to the game. Uzi and 21 will never fall off cuz they're too mainstream and established, but if we speaking on influence and who's music is actually recieved and kept in rotation by their fans it's gotta be Carti.
He just doesn't have the confidence anymore in his music. He's so worried about receptions and criticisms after people was calling EA mid, that he dropped Pink Tape then moved away from it quickly as possible. No huge rollout, no singles, no marketing, no huge promotion push, and no care. He needs to stop caring about what people think and do things for himself. Make the music you want to make. Stop reading comments, stop showing snippets for people's approving, only for them to talk shit cause they can. Because if he keeps going down this route he might, just might end up slowly declining.
Bro literally u hit it right on the head a lot of these artist keep catering to the fans drop the music u wanna make like carti did on wlr that shi was the best decision not listening to the fans who wanted v1 shi
Yeah facts. I feel like he's paying too much attention to the criticism. It's hard to explain but all of his new music sounds like he doesn't wanna make the music he came in the game making but he also doesn't wanna stray too far away from it cuz he's scared of sounding repetitive and getting backlash for it. Every video of him previewing a new song just seems like him testing waters and being like "here's a new song, what do u guys think? Don't hate on me please".
@@MM-gp9mbI just want the Uzi that was a quote on quote "rockstar" to come back. He dropped whatever he felt like, he had the freedom, the fucking vibe. The 2016-17 era won't be forgotten!
As an Uzi fan since late 2016, I want Uzi to just make whatever they’re interested in. I wish that Uzi would stop listening to all the criticisms and know all the REAL fans gonna support!!! P.s. I really liked pink tape
Uzi's music has gone downhill since EA. Pink tape was a mess and got really shown up by utopia. And this is coming from a fan whose top listened to artist in 2022 was uzi. B6 better be fire
EA he was more lyrical with the songs from middle to end of the album they actually had more depth within them it’s slept on. Perception of that album could’ve been diff if he toured it
@@tdk_23 I loved EA and all his previous albums. Pink tape and white + red also have some fire songs, but pink tape was an absolute mess after the first 10 songs. IMO
@@nicholasanderson9019 he did something different and executed it well imo cuz all yall ask is for the same shit same with Utopia yall expected a astroworld 2 or with wlr when we expected a die lit 2 I like the new direction he's going with his music he's finally expirementing with other genres, rap only listeners wouldn't know fr.
Well he did say he wanted to drop “ Forever young” , that makes it three albums if anything before he retires along with “barter 16” and “luv is rage 3”
He won't. Uzi's been saying this forever. He should really just take a break and move like Frank Ocean and Carti on some mysterious shit until he's ready to drop again
I mean a lot of it is on uzi to be very honest. Like with barter 16 I doubt many actually want that and would want luv is rage 3. Also with pink tape it had all this hype and it ended up being different than fans expected. All he has to do is drop what fans actually want every once and a while. He can literally drop whatever he wants but he could at least drop albums his fans want. He knew a decent chunk of his fans were expecting a older type of sound with the snippets he was showing then, the album comes out and it sounds like yeat and carti were executive producers with a few older songs. Of course fans weren’t going to be satisfied with a vastly different sounding album 😭🤦🏽♂️
Bob I just want a vid ab why Uzi wants to always have a experimental ALBUM not talking ab (Pluto) album or LIl Uzi vs the wrld 2 but like EA with Harding rapping and the and pink tape with rock. Y can’t he just make an album from his sound. Hones question and would love to hear ur thoughts
bro uzi could literally live like Carti. He don’t gotta show us everything and be everywhere. Carti gives his Fans nothing than leaks and insane shows.
Some rappers that have considered retirement also never rly end up retiring because music is quiet literally in their veins, even if they wanted to leave they’re so passionate about their craft that they always end up crawling back , jay z being one example , but at the same time I do understand why some artist do feel like retiring , jus being a famous rapper in general comes with a lot of pressure , Like you said being a rapper is call and all cause you get to fly private jets u have a lot of money and things like that but is that rly making you happy, considering some of the cons that an artist would have to deal with
Keep in mind artists that are as big as Uzi do a lot more with their day than just make music. They are prob constantly running around back and forth between studios / meetings and shit. I would prolly want to retire too if I had to work like Uzi
but imagine being uzi. he will for shure miss this lifestyle thats why he can’t stop. hope he gonna chill for some years and bring back new sound that everyone loves
Bro most of the time these niggas be in the house playing video games or chillin wit homies(based on what some rappers have actually said). The life of an artist isn't as busy as u think, they ain't constantly running around doing shit lol. And when they do go outside they get hounded by fans.
He’s 28 with only 3 albums he is in his prime and has more years to go I’m sorry kids but xo tour life and seguin paradise , just wanna rock isn’t enough to hold up a legacy he would just be remembered as one of the great artists from the 2010s and 2020s and not all time 💯 💀
Uzi just seems lost right now. Its crazy cuz he was "That guy" at one point. He was THE rapper for the youth. Now it just seems like he cares too much about what the public thinks and doesnt drop the music he actually wants to cuz hes scared of getting hate. He aint been the same for the past few years now. Lil Yachty went through something similar too when he was on that "i can rap fr" wave and strayed away from what actually made him famous. Its looking like Carti is the only one thats gonna make it out of the soundcloud generation in the long run. Everyone else either died, fell off or just dont know what to do.
the idea of retirement for 9/10 people is perfect, u never have to work in ur life again and u only have to do things u want to do. Maybe he’s had so much pressure to make music at times he just wants to do nothing.
If he’s hit his ceiling as an artist, let im him go. He’s the same artist that was rapping in 2016. Same shit, different beats. But that goes for a lot of artists tho. The music he made then was good but now those fans are grown and want a more refined version of that but haven’t gotten it.
what i think about old uzi that people don’t realize is that britney was a huge part of that sound. it probably hurts him to some degree when he thinks about that era despite being super successful. lastly uzi and many others during that era were kids. they grew up so rhat music may not appeal to them anymore
Not exactly kids but I get what ur saying. Most of them were in the late teens and early 20s then. Uzi is almost 30 now, it would be kinda weird if a 30 year old man sang like how Uzi did in 2016 with all those emo band melodies.
