One difference is Jürgen had to build on what Brendan left him, he is leaving something better to work with and Slot is at least a competent guy who can make the most of that. It will be fine. YNWA
@@simonspeedo8122😂😂😂 Yeah Hodgson was loved to bits. I go to games and hope this guy fails. If nothing else to spite all these fans from outside Liverpool who have turned on Klopp this past few weeks when he has actually overachieved.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 Those players are looking to be the next academy products to earn spots in Arne Slot squad. Sepp Van Den Berg,Owen Beck,Tyler Morton,Fabio Carvalho,Dominic Corness,Melkamu Fraunedorf,Luke Chambers,Amara Nallo,Bobby Clark,James Mc Cornell, Lewis Koumas,Jayden Danns,Musialowski, and Harvey Blair.
The intriguing part of Arne Slot’s tactics and philosophy is the fact that his team is so dynamic. He has a clear philisophy. Sort of like if Pep Guardiola’s philosophy and Jorgen Klopp’s philosophy had a baby. It’s short pass combination, high press attacking football in the basics. Yet he also has learned this year to surprise his opponent. That is how he beat PSV in the cup. PSV have an amazing left back (Segino Dest) and is arguably the most dangerous player of PSV, playing similar to Cancelo at City. How did Arne Slot stop him? By putting our second right-back Nieuwkoop at right wing. And it worked. We beat AJAX 6-0 and NEC in the cup final by playing our rightback Geertruida on left-back with our left centre-back Hancko next to him. Hancko can also play left back so Geertruida and Hancko switched about 30 times during the game. The opponent could not cope with this. It’s tactical genius. How he sets up cannot be predicted. In that sense he is sort of what Nagelsmann wished to be at Bayern. Will the full-backs invert or overlap? They do both depending on the winger in front of them or the situation. It’s absolute havock for the opponent. And indeed it always results in a 2-3-5. But it can also be a 3-3-4 when Wieffer falls deep between the centre backs. His team has so many ways they can play and they all work. It’s genuinly brilliance.
I think for such a great tactics, he's going to need a lot of time and a lot of technically gifted players. I can't see the current crop of Liverpool players bringing his tactics to fruition. Plus, this is the premier league. I hope he finds the balance in technicality and physicality like Pep did
@@ozzythestunnerwhy? The playera we've got have 100% got what it takes to execute. We've got 3 number 10s used as 8s, we'll add cbs and a DM, we got good wingers, salah, gakpo, jota, diaz, the best front 5 in Europe even with the recent drop in form. Our cms are good too. We'll execute, nust a few additions to fill in the gaps and outgoings
FSG are actually great owners. Not spending too much and being financial carefull and responsible is how Liverpool stays a top 4 club in England for the next 60 years. Overspending is what kills top teams (Leeds, Chelsea, United, Newcastle, Barcelona)
Bro imma support u as much as I can imma tell every Liverpool fan about u U are a good guy man ❤appreciate u btw u should post on shorts too to help spread this channel ❤❤❤❤
Great video man. Intelligent, carefully and articulately presented. I don't know if you are a Liverpool fan but regardless good luck to you with this channel. I have subscribed for more insightful commentaries.😁
It’s not just a Dutch guy who comes from the Eredivisie, it’s a Dutch guy who came from Feyenoord, we all know what the last guy did who came from Feyenoord and went to Liverpool
Great video, however I'm a little anxious of how well we can retain the the ball after being countered if the midfield 2 have been beaten. Also, are our forwards suitable for this system?Do the players in defence have to be considerably more ball playing given how Slots teams build up and transition through their passing?I'm absolutely intrigued to see the commings and goings in the summer transfer window to shed some light on this.
We need three or four players; 1- João Palhinha or Matts Wieffer for DM 2- Teun Koopmeiners for number 10 role 3- Dávid Hancko left footed center back who can play left back.
He is not stiff like Ten Hag. He is quite well spoken. The way he connected with his players, coaches and Feyenoord fanbase, resembles Klopp. Not many Manager interacted with the fans the way he does aside from Klopp. My first choice is always Xabi and 2nd would be Pep Ljinder. But I like what I see in Slot
As both a Feyenoord and a Liverpool fan I can say, Mats Wieffer is the Dutch N’Golo Kanté. He’s everywhere. His potential is incredible, but if not handled properly it could ruin him. He still has a lot to learn, which is not weird when you consider the fact that he was playing in the Dutch second league just a couple years ago. I don’t think he’s ready yet for Liverpool’s main squad, but one day he might be. Definitely one of my favorite Feyenoord players of all time
Arne Slot, plays ball how we use to play 2018/19 season. When we use to press from the front nick the ball and then score. And if that didn't work we would go into a 4 4 2 formation. Leaving 2 banks of 4 in a low block. And we would have Mane and Salah just in front of them. We did this a lot during the CL campaign. When we played like this, no one could live with us we were virtually unstoppable. And we use to change formation quickly during the game it was fluid. Like that guy in T2. Bur shape shifting lol 😅
@samsingh3753 Thank you, i noticed that pressing from the front style left with Klopp mate that he joined Liverpool with. The guy with the curly hair apologies I forgot his name. But that guy had a lot to do with the freezing cold way we played back then. Its like once he left Klopp had to switch up he's style.
Not an AZ fan, but AZ would have had a very good chance at winning the Eredivisie that year too. Ajax was wasting a lot of point towards the end, while AZ was on fire. Still ridiculous how the KNVB (Dutch FA) decided to end it. The faire chance of fighting for that title was stolen from them
All this talk of tactics, formation and playing philosophy is all well and good. The bigger question is how does he handle the egos at Anfield? From the players, to management staff and the upper echelon? No disrespect to Feyenoord but LFC is a bigger club with far more politics at play. Also, how good is he at convincing players to run that extra mile during training? There’s no point in him having the best tactics but is unable to convince the players of why they have to practice that particular drill.
@@ramakumarnambiar7010 Listen son, I've been supporting LFC before you were a glint in your Daddy's eye and I know a lot more about the politics (and egos) that goes on behind the scenes. it's you who knows nothing about LFC and FSG. Don't bother replying, you're just going to make yourself look foolish.
@@marklong982 You must be one of the those with the delusion of being wise and clever, so I wont burst your fragile ego. Btw, I am 68 years old and have been supporting LFC since the late '70s of the Keegan and Dalglish eras.
@@ramakumarnambiar7010 68 years old and still not aware that there are egos and politics in all organizations (including LFC). BTW, I can almost hear the cogs spinning in your head, trying to think of an answer, to get the last word in.
The Dutch league isn’t as competitive as the Premier League we just have to wait and see how he copes with the peace of the Premier League great content bro👊🏾
@jurner0 yes it's more physical than other leagues that's fact, when most Spanish players first come they have trouble at first , because they get bullied off the ball .😂
I love where Liverpool is going with this but in order to be successful we need to make many more signings for the next seasons coz our players are becoming old, running out of energy and leaving us slowly slowly so the best thing to do is to make very many new signings
I'd like to see him play Nunez as a more traditional no 9. I believe he's been asked to do too much at the expense of his main strength. There's a goalscoring beast in him but even though i like him, my patience is running thin.
This, I agree why Liverpool choose Slot compared to Amorim. I also think that Alonso wont come in even if he is available next season because of the current crop of players unsuitable for a back 3. But it wont be the same after next season tho. I reckon Liverpool will spend more for cb next season in case Slot become a flop

You Reds should be happy with Arne Slot. He won prices, put Feyenoord on the map in Europe and the team worth has expansiannely grew. From €30 million too €313. So he makes players better. Good luck next season. Greets a Feyenoord fan ❤
I'm hopping slot will be like klopp with going onto the pitch after the game shaking players hands and congrats them , it does seem like he I'd close to his players
Over the years Klopp has been reluctant to have a big squad... What is Arne Slot's stance on squad size? Going by his typical squad tactics/style, I would say it should be a large squad.
One disagreement ive got is with the trent point. Trent is better on the wings. Hes a great long passer, but him getting around the wings makes him more dangerous. A short example is the match vs Tottenham, instead of just spamming long passes, he can get in and get crosses in, much better. Also his average assist per game stats would be better feom his wing hugging fullback days.
Bejetic back on dm, then endo when we need to shut Down. Doubt its gonna be there we see any action in summer transfer, like any 0 - and you Can pin that. YNWA
I like that our fanbase have gone from who is he No one rates the Dutch league to now gassing him up If he was going to rival club in the prem people would banter them lol But we must trust edwards and Hughes judgment
I like slots formation,,and if he needs to bring some of his players with him ,so be it ,,just hope the tight FSG clan bk him ,as they sure in hell didnt bk klopp ,as to why he could have won 3 more titals,,FSG and john henry should sell up as they never spend money ,yet want 90 pounds for the new dire lfc top
I know Dutch trainers did s**t in England, but Slot don't act like some big mouth a**x coach, they went to England to show everybody how you have to play.Slot don't stand above all people,he listen and work with people. Liverpool get a very fit squad and a very good team where the subs play also a big and important role.Liverpool will be hard to beat.
Please FSG and john henry you utter, tight owners, please give slot the money so he can compete with city ,manu ,chelsea and Arsenal, as from 2016 extra 16,000 fans per week come and see liverpool
No Dutch managers have made any impact in the Premiership - Ten Hag, Van Gaal, Koeman, Gullit. All failures. The Dutch league has a much slower tempo and it doesn't work in the Premiership. This guy has no really big club experience and he'll fail.
GAKPO is a zillion times better than Sobaslai mate...as a red fan he is a waste of 70 million quid....very poor and the comparison of Dominic and Gérard has gone totally out of the window and will have to drastically do something different next season to nail down a starting position..same goes for Gravenburch who is also garbage and tbh I'd sell them both and let the manager have the funds for someone he wants to buy!!!
This just shows how fickle alot of football fans are... Szoboszlai had an unreal 1st half of the season, after his injury his performances dropped. Gakpo is having an amazing run in these last few games. These are two good ballers who have suffered due to some decisions around the squad. Szobo is been asked to do the Henderson job, he's a technical player who plays best going forward not running around and trying to stop opposition attacks, his defensive contributions have been good this season, but thats not his role. Gakpo has had to play as a CM, CF. His natural position is as a LW, and he's excelling now because Klopp has stopped trying to convert him into Firmino. These two players will be great under Arne Slot (if he is a success) because his tactics suits them perfectly.
@@anthonyikemefunauzuh3391 ....really?...imo the reason we took a dive is when klopp brought back sobaslai and benched Elliott which left basically 2 players in midfield with sobaslai fannying about in no man's land creating absolutely f all...klopp said as much in his villa press conference saying he shouldn't have benched Elliott...who replaced him?(sobaslai) Just count how many times sobaslai is taken off and I'm pretty sure it's not because he's having a great game ...infact how many man of the match awards has he received this season seeing he's fantastic????
