My sister married her husband of 33yrs against the wishes of my parents....he is black. My parents got over the hate and three grandchildren children and two great grandchildren precious littlest turned their cold hearts around. Actually before that, my brother in law is the finest hard working man, who is a treasure that no money or gold can buy. God took his time in creating my brother in law a MASTERPIECE. A man of INTEGRITY,A HEART OF GOLD, A MIND OF A GENIUS, A POWERFUL VOICE so that we he sat in the bleachers or on the sidelines his son's could hear his voice cheering them on. A Father who taught his boys and only daughter about LOVE,RESPECT &HONESTY. There are good men out there and my family has been blessed many times over the day my sister married him a Young black man into our Native American family.

***** Staying with and supporting his wife through the cancer especially since he mentioned that he had just dropped a new album. Putting family before all things speaks unconditionally and you can only show that, lip service is questionable until proven. I also love and have found many MEN who I have asked what made their marriage last so long and they all have said having God first in their lives. I believe having that higher power to answer too makes a difference in accountability. Awesome interview.

Sure if you think it works. Me personally stay far away from religion I don’t have good experiences and don’t agree with how they view certain things adding that to many people use it as a form of power over others and use it to manipulate and benefit their personal wants and the lying the affairs to see all that happening on a regular basis in religion and then see people close to me fit that observation really makes you think. I’m not against anyone who practices as long as their not knocking on doors or approach me preaching at me when and trying to force it. I’ve been very happy in a relationship that keeps religion out of it for 16 years now with 3 kids and were happy we don’t even think we are going to get married we can do much more with that money

While I don't know them personally, the talk of the neighborhood was that they were always a solid couple. Despite those videos, LL ALWAYS kept his reputation tight! This is great to see, a black man and women unconditionally loving each other! I crushed so hard on this man!lol I saw him live at the Fresh Fest Concert years ago and he was AMAZEBALZ! He threw roses out to the ladies in the audience. There was a couch placed on stage and he sang "When I'm alone in my room"! OMG the memories!hahaha She is a lucky women!

The thing that moved me the most is the fact that they've been together for 25+ yrs. despite the fact that "The ladies Loved LL Kool J!" lol I'm sure it wasn't always easy but she hung in there with him! But the thing that REALLY captured my heart was how he stood by her side when she got bone cancer! Big points for that! Also, I see that he's a family man and knows what important in life! So that makes him aces in my book!!!!:)

I dont remember LL being caught up in amy scandals. He did have alot of hits that were known to be "bed making" music but he is an entertainer. He seems to be definitely a family man. Its good that he is not in the public eye as much and has settled down to be with his wife. Thats good to see black men settling down. Its rare to see in 2019. The ones who settle down are usually getting women of other races.

I met LL Cool J during the Essence Festival many years ago (2001-2003?) and I had all those "Ladies Love Cool J" thoughts about meeting him. When he said hello Sis and was polite enough to hug me, I knew that this was a honorable and beautiful Man of God! He had the love of Christ for his fans and that was so clear. I have never looked at him as "that symbol" since. They are a beautiful God fearing family and an awesome example of what is possible when you put God first! Blessings to him and his wife and family! That was cute I almost got emotional watching this at work. I just love black love beautiful not saying any other love is not beautiful but just saying with all the stereotypes out there pertaining to both black men and woman its good to see such a hansome man settle down and actually be faithful when i know its not easy. Because when you're in relationship and youre happy so many folks try and come between that. And to see them after so many years strong and in love holding eachother down like that is just beautiful. to me at least

octaviakf yes it IS a beautiful thing to see not just to you but to GOD. it was refreshing to watch this video. People don't want to hear it but I will say it until I die GOD IS THE KEY INGREDIENT TO A LONG AND WONDERFUL MARRIAGE. Of course u will have problems but He will help u to navigate thru them...I'm talking from experience. The devil thru EVERYTHING at our marriage (even the kitchen sink) as they say. Heck he threw a couple of sinks along with the stove and refrigerators....but to God's Word I held on. Was talked about, called stupid by my family, people at work and even the church people NOT THE SAINT but the church people but I kept holding on to His promises. Next January we will be celebrating 30 years together Glory to God! And all of those that put used their mouths against us are either asking us to pray with them or they are just speechless. He will do it if u allow Him to but u have to stand still and KNOW that HE is God. Don't try to fix things yourself cuz that's when the mess becomes messier. Let the one that holds all power and dominion handle it and He promises u will no longer be the victim but the Victor. God bless!
