Tamasik - No value in adhyatma, not in line with Vedas and Upanishads and most notoriously written out of sectarian agendas to fuel hatred. Most of them were edited multiple times. 3. Rajasik Puranas - Written for obtaining monetary benefit. Not in the interest of Spirituality. Shiva Puran was written by Romaharshana but then was edited again and again only to fuel sectarian agendas. As per sources, it has been edited more than 80 times. Hence serves to contradict itself too in many places. The Sarabha story is an example of the same which was inserted into Shiva Puran in 7th to 8th Century A D.

Half the things we worship today in Hinduism were only inserted "later". Even Shiva and Vishnu were "later" called supreme gods.
