I am a Canadian mzungu living in Kenya 4 to 5 months a year. I know your culture kabisa. My wife is Kenyan, and we have kids she can't tolerate baridi at all. So I go back to Canada to work construction. Knowing both cultures I have to say that you are spot on with your analysis. You have hit the hammer right on the nail. Love your video. Found your clip by accident. I will be looking for more. Nashukuru asante sana
Thanks for your observations.I have lived in Africa for 60yrs now and have never felt the need to migrate to where I would lose my sanity, my ego ,my work life balance ! Its good info to those unmarried in mid life to go and pursue their dream careers but fellow senior men..please keep of. Stay where you feel the warmth of an African family set-up, great culture, happiness and freedom!!! Never go and live like a PUPPET.
As an African American man, born and raised in America and having traveled to Africa four times, I'm losing my mind and going insane. Every time I think about the feeling of being in Africa where I felt 100 percent balanced, whole, natural and normal as opposed to feeling lost, rejected and unhealthy in America you I can say with a surity, have made the best decision. Now the only endeavor and goal I have and the reason to even be working, is to make it back to Africa for good, before I go mad in Babylon and die of a broken heart as a broken man. Peace and love.
@@jonathanonijingin3000 First build up your own home and infrastructure so that you are not constantly suffering in your own homeland. The majority of Africans trying to leave Africa are not to get a taste of the world or explore willy, nilly, much of it is out of desperation and the need to survive. Maybe take care of those back home.
The feminisation of many 'developed' countries is a challenge to the working man, with feminists not content to dominate, but also to make sure men know their place in this new order.
Joyce That is Great news! I like that kind of transparency you have shared, I' m employed I was planning to migrate to Canada with that information now I have to cancel my plan!. Thank you
The big test question is: Would you stay with your husband if you won say 10 million dollars or you are guaranteed just enough money to live on? The answer to that question for majority of immigrant African women is a big NO! That is why government welfare system very quickly becomes a substitute for a husband. Welfare system destroys many marriages for the poor even in the US.
💯 valid question! Like someone said, when many African men hit it big financially, the first thing they think about is how they can improve the quality of lives for their spouses and families but for some African women, such sudden personal financial increases may get them to start thinking "I don't really need my husband to do anything I need to do" and that thought eventually shows in their attitudes which over time, may ruin the family.
You are spot-on my sister, almost all training given to newcomers goes to women. I don’t know who designed that but it all points to the fact that men have a diminished role and importance in this part of the world.
Africa is tough, so no one listens to advice about the difficulties of life abroad. Other reasons people return to Africa is that you instantly go from nobody abroad, to a celebrity in Africa. If you can run good businesses in Africa, you make a lot more money than you could in Canada.
There are other concerns. Men are thrown out of their houses despite often contributing more to home purchase. When your relationship turns south, men opt to liquidate and move on
You may be out but it's still yours legally, whether selling, refinancing or at the end of that mortgage. The downside is that other dudes can sleep in freely.
I really like your video in Canada 🇨🇦 there's lots stress specially man when brock up with he's wife or girlfriend if you have kids my self I wanna go back home to live there then I can work 6 months season work in Canada atherwise is not easy to be rich for this country.we must build our country when we still have energy. I comment from Canada 🇨🇦 Vancouver British Columbia in Burnaby.
Good day Joyce, Great channel! In addition, the cost of living of living is longer bearable...The middle class (Upper/Lower) are struggling big time. Another thing, Canada is moving further to the left in term of values...There is a big wave of Canadian and American moving to South Europe (Portugal, Span, south of France etc..) because of affordability...Canada still a great Country to live in but should do their due diligence.
Women would certainly abuse it. Then in the case of Canada, women should not demand much from their husbands since they get a lot of support from government
The other reason is the Canadian dream is not what it used to be anymore. A lot has changed. There's been a huge influx of immigrants in Canada over the past few years. Thus getting a job as an immigrant is not as easy as it was before. Even for women. Also immigrants get paid less which makes it hard to get by, get an education and grow career wise. It doesn't matter what experience or education you've. Any education outside of the US or Canada doesn't count. You'll most likely start afresh, get certified and some work experience before you can get considered for a decent job. And don't forget the harsh weather. Their winter can be brutal esp for Africans who are used to a tropical climate
Which country are immigrants being paid less than others? I don't know of any province where such happens in Canada. In Africa or Asia, is there no inflation? Everyone knows that all that we are seeing is as a result of COVID 19 which is even more impactful in Africa than in the US or Canada. What exactly are they going back to do now that they couldn't do before running out of those countries? Practically I know a few people that went back to Africa, only to run back! I knew of a man that left the US for Africa to start hotel business only to be kidnapped and killed!
They’re lying about going back to Africa. Until they show us they give up their Canadian residency we don’t believe them. Many people travel back and forth that’s all
One important reason you did not mention is African countries in recent years have booming economies. Many who come back from the diaspora have become very successful because of this and also land can be aquired easily You also have a strong growing middle class that you cannot satisfy.
If African countries are booming as you say why are there record numbers of Africans fleeing to Europe and risking their lives crossing the English Channel on small boats?
I am a gypsy and changed many countries to live. If I compare with many countries, country that I born is the best even I lost permanent residence but I still want to go back. By the way I am living in Tokyo.
Joyce u have a gentle spirit. You are very genuine. Tell them tutafte pesa we will go home and they will assume their manly position. Wavumilie hakuna kupata bibi uko; suppress it egos my brothers; n lets look for money.
All that we need and want are in Africa. I am very sorry and sad for those who were forced to leave Africa at a gun point because of slave trade, God bless them. Canada is and will never be a better place to live for a Blackman ,money will not always buy life and bring happiness .
Joyce, although you may be right about certain things which you have mentioned in your vlog, my question is where are those stable jobs in African countries. May be 20 % fall in that category, the rest 80% have to sell tomatoes or phone chargers on bus stands. That is the harsh reality. So will you prefer a better paying job overseas or continue struggling home and always complain about no money. Easier said than done.
I think she just wants to trend with this video. Where are those men that are leaving Canada? From where to where? I am sure, Asia and Africa are not parts of where they are leaving to, because I don't know what exactly they are leaving Canada to do. A cleaner in Canada enjoys a better living standard in Canada than a manager in Africa or Asia. How can you leave security for insecurity? Does it make sense to leave a paid job for joblessness? Or they are leaving freedom for bondage, kidnapping and ritualism. Let's stop deceiving ourselves!
@@jonathanonijingin3000 I fully agree with you. I live in US but have often visited African countries ( 13 countries to last count). I see the same thing over and over again. Common theme of ordinary public is they are broke and have no money. Unemployment is rampant and it is hard to make ends meet due to low income and rising cost of living( inflation). Most African currencies have devalued against dollar. Poverty has encouraged crimes, break ins and theft although poverty does not mean one should resort to stealing. On top of that police is corrupt and so are many public service employees. Overall picture is bleak unfortunately.
We have millions who are still struggling to leave their country of birth for another country. It's just that I don't want to mention any specific country.
On point! Very informative and loaded content. No matter what, there is no place like home, where you can really be yourself at home, if not for the wicked, corrupt and selfish politicians in government in Africa and the implications, we have no business of thinking of permanent relocation abroad. It is well. God will heal and have mercy upon Africa and Africans including Nigerians 🙏
Actually it's the same case in Africa and especially Kenya...women have become empowered economically socially intellectually and so 2 quick examples...count the number of decent vehicles driven by women on Kenyan roads and those driven by men Count the number of building apartments along Thika road bearing women names...from Nairobi to Thika It's what it is
I am Canadian, out of Ontario but I lived in Russia and also Africa- Malawi. NGOs in Africa have the same policies. Women, wake up, one day soon you will wake up and have nothing. No man, no children you can be proud of, and slaves to the gov.
Very unhealthy for men broken families I had tried to keep my kids but without support it's impossible I ask child mom she said she won't give up her child tax credit it's her income 🙏
You have to create a balance in order to promote diversity and inclusiveness. In the advanced countries chores are shared because both partners work to support the family.
@@ernestnzombu1972 After money becomes her boss he begins to frustrate the husband then kids follow. Later in life kids end up bad environments. What for?
Helping with chores is no big deal. Lopsided dispute resolution and a deliberate intimidation of men by the system drives males, including Caucasian, to separate or divorce. Are women better off for it?
