Hearing Matpat on the verge of tears while saying his beloved catchphrase is just so soul-crushing. That was just from a tiktok I saw. Im hesitant to watch the full video fearing I will have a crying fit. Words can’t describe the era that is ending right now. But Dr. Suess one said, “don’t cry beacause it’s over smile because it happened”.

I watched him since the START of his channel. I remember being able to binge watch all ten of his videos because that's when I started watching him. Every off channel, livestream, etc I would watch. He means so much to me and even inspired me to start working on videos myself! This... the only video I haven't watched is the newest one. His last video. Because I couldn't believe he was gone.

When I watched his goodbye video, I cried, and kept hoping that he would say “but that’s just a theory” at the end, and show a comment or a tweet that was predicting MatPats retirement, but im also really happy for him, and I hope he has the chance to make memories with his family that he can be proud of.

I acknowledged MatPats existence few days ago(because of MatPat giving Pope Undertale) , just scrolling through the Games Theory channel videos made me sad, as soon as I saw that video title... I knew him for like an hour at that time and it was already quite heart breaking for me. It must be so soul-crushing for those MatPat has raised.
