some things that happened or matt did: when he was at wammys he was a friend of nears but being bestfriends with mello, mello didn't want him being friends with near, so he stopped. matt was the first to run in when the building exploded and he helped mellos injurys. when mello left wammys, matt was left behind and had no communication with mello for a couple years. he tracked him through a car or something I don't remember but that's how he found him again
I always thought he has the potential of being a pretty interesting character, he's from Wammy's and he's ranking third as a successor. We already know how Near and Mello think/ act thought-out the show but we don't see much of Matt. He's chill but takes risks, cocky at times and loyal to Mello. Unfortunately we don't get to see much of his skills and abilities. So sorry for my bad English it's obviously not my language
I completely agree with you. Also, I didn't notice any grammatical issues :) You write better English than a lot of people I know lol Peace and love from the US 🇺🇸🖤
The anime did Mello and Matt dirty: they basically did nothing while Near tried to explain it away with "Well Mello did mess up Light's plan a little" at the end. Mello and Matt do far more in the Manga.
@@mudshrooze I barely remember Matt lol. I just remembered him now since I rewatched the show lol. I knew who he was, just didn't remember his role since he didn't get much time smh
@@murasakino101 He and Mello had 10x more action in the manga. Also I can relate, I was a bit upset for about a week after Light’s death but I was young then so probably a little more emotional.
I don't see how he said 'fans make fun of him' 🤔 he and Mello became strikingly independent considering their sheltered upbringing at Wammy's. Wish we could a prequel post-orphanage/pre-Kira
There's something about him that's so interesting despite only having 12 panels in the manga and a few minutes in the anime he gained so much popularity. He is the 3rd smartest child in wammy's imagine if he had his full potential.
He basically was the reason Mello was willing to sacrificing himself to trap Light. At the beginning for Mello all was all for his ego and to prove himself he was worthy and better than Near but Matt’s death made him realize that playing games had consequences and important people for him ends dying.
My friend and I, to this day, still call dibs on this man. And he has only said a few lines in the anime. Hackers are definitely my type in anime boys.
Its weird how death note only had 37 episodes, when they should’ve had a season 1 up to L’s death (25 episodes) and a season 2 for his successors (12, but should have been another 25 episodes to fit the manga in). But it was 16 years ago so its done now.
I've always thought that too, a lot of people don't like the last third of the show because it feels so rushed. They tried to cram a lot of new characters and storylines in just 12 episodes. That's why you don't know much about Mello/Near/Matt/etc, and people tend to not pick them as their favorite characters due to their lack of screen time & dialogue.
Didn't knew about the smoke gun until I saw your video. I like Matte, Because we are the same in personality. We only care where we have an interest. Other than that we don't care. I'm a gamer and I'm studying Computer Engineering too to broaden my knowledge in technology.
i actually did notice the smoke gun, but thats not why he was gunned down so fast. it was because "death is the only punishment for those against kira"
I actually saw the smoke gun but I just thought it was a regular gun but now it all makes sense if they didn't shoot. grab the gun swing it down shoot into the ground to create a smoke screen and then run off and blend into the crowd. fool proof. but then he got shot.
Matt MATTered I like Matt he seemed really cool, his style was awesome and he actually seems like a person Id generally want to hang out with in Death Note lol. And holy crap I didn't even know about him reaching for the smoke gun at gunpoint! That was genius! Sucks he didn't make it out alive. I wish he had more screentime, glad he was in the manga more but still I wish those scenes were kept in, it would've made it alot longer and more detailed imo.
NO LITERALLY when I watched Death Note for the first time and Matt showed up my first thought was “oh him and Mello DEFINITELY have something going on” lmaoo
You know Its strange when I watched this show in high school with my friendJonny. He and I were both "this guys a cool and loyal bad ass". And we were bith like "wait what .." when he died. I appreciate this video
I don’t know why, but I got attached to that character so fast (probably the fashion 😂), his death hit harder for me than it probably should’ve. I wish he was able to show off more
I loved Matt’s style. But speaking of death note in general many characters had there own style and they were all interesting which made this show such a hit.
I actually would like to have a more detailed story, I wish they could make the anime longer, with more details, and I wish author wrote more, but that’s already a lot)
Idk if I'd consider a smoke gun at gun point a very good plan. At the very least, have a bullet-proof vest or something in case you get shot if they spray into the smoke.
if he was so smart why didn't he just shoot while he was inside the car and drive away? getting out of the car just ensures he gets shot no matter what he does
Would love to see more of Matt's personality and skills. Whether it's a set of missions before his death or maybe an alternate set of events where he doesn't die at all and helps clean up crime after Kira's death We need more of this dude period!
he can rival L hahhahhaha...more like matsuda Dx he is like a master jedi that got killed by some plane color clone trooper rip man. a super genius died in a noob way. light is palatine and took out the entire jedi order, yoda, windu and dooku.... it's like that 1% beating 99% P_P even the heavens and god laughing
