Thank you for this video and for the pdf. I've downloaded it and it's great! Can you do more vids like this please and even a cookbook with a bunch of weely plans - I would totally be up for buying something like that!
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 I think you're conflating "tahini sauce", which is a sauce that contains tahini as an ingredient, and just "tahini" which is nothing more than ground sesame seeds. The tahini was an ingredient in the sauce and you can see her pouring it into the food processor at 2:17.
Hello thank you for the share but I couldn’t get through the pdf - even though I signed up for email - could you help please , I recently got on to PCOS diet and that called for gluten free dairy free and soy free diet . Your easy meal preps could help me for not starving at work. Thank you for these.
I’ve never understood why people meal prep the same meal for 5 days. I’ve been meal prepping for several years and the key is variety. Plan out 2-3 recipes every week. There you go. Variety
And to make it even better, prep things that can be combined with each other as well like a casserole and a sauce that is great with potatoes, rice and pasta so you can easily add further variety. Then have fresh vegetables ready that are either prepared or that you can prepare in a couple minutes.
I agree. It also helps to just prep ingredients if you don’t have a huge variety. Then, you can cook any meal you want to with pre-prepped ingredients. Still saves a lot of time and money, and you can keep your variety. I use the same veggies and meats to make omelets, fajitas, and salads, and I could make more if I needed more variety. Meal prep is NOT “making the same meal to eat for 4-6 days in a row” unless you WANT it to be.
I cook large batches of food on the weekends, and eat those for dinner for weeks. I've been rotating between spaghetti, chili, and shepherds pie for dinner for 2.5 years now. I also eat the same lunch every day. It doesn't bother me at all.
Yep - i usually make 2 recipes of around 4 servings each per week (with a focus on freezer friendly meals)...which often leads to me having 2-5 different meals to choose from each weekday!
My highschool had cooking class, and the first rule about planning meal : You should have different menus for 10 days and then repeat. The main reason is the nutrition. Eating the same meal over and over again has the risk of missing some important micronutrients.
@@JewelBlueIbanez why would it be difficult? It's not. I am single and find it super easy to plan meals for myself; no constraints and nobody to complain about not liking my meals lol
@@MsJoeyJody It's more difficult because in order to use up whatever vegetables you buy before they go bad, you need to eat the same few things for several days in a row if you are single. Also, for me I can't get through that much food in the few days before it goes bad so I need focus on eating the few things I bought, which means I can't have a wide variety of perishable foods on hand unless I want to end up throwing it all out.
@@Mai-sx3yf i think thier main point is preped meals are premeasured which leads to you having to much someday and to little others and it not necessarily in equal amount
Actually, the first version works for me for the very important reason that I put it in the freezer, not the fridge. I have enough containers to have 10 dinners and 6 decently sized lunches in storage at the same time. I decide in the morning what I want to eat, or if I want a meal-prep meal at all that day. It makes me cook more, and means I meal prep 1-2 times a month and cook the rest of the food on the days I want to. But always having food readily available, knowing I don't have to eat it today, tomorrow, or this week if I don't want to, has been super helpful. I haven't had take-out in three years because of this ...By myself ofc, I do eat take-out with friends :)
Yes! This way it stays fresh, and you can eat something from last week instead and save what you made that weekend for a couple weeks in the future for when it's new and exciting again. I also like to batch cook individual parts of meals and then mix and match them.
Nice. Sometimes I don't cook all the meals for the freezer but ill portion/cut the ingredients I will want to use later and then just throw them together to cook when I'm ready.
The same problem I had with mealprep. My food has to be delicious and NOT boring. Even thinking of eating the same meal 4-5x a week makes me sick. Even if it is pad thai or tacos.
This perspective has always been so interesting to me. As someone who could eat the same thing every single day, the idea of variety is almost bizarre to me!
Personally when I meal prepped I made 3 portions of two different meals and take Saturday off to eat what I REALLY wanted for dinner. So Sunday I'd prep & eat fresh, Eat meal A for 1/2 the days and meal B for the other ones! I ate the same thing for lunch & breakfast every day tho. I found it a lot more accessible than cooking 7 sperate dishes. I'd also mix & match by using beans as my grain/starch with one portion of meal A and rice a next portion for a bit of variety plus different sauces. Meal prepping as a highschool student was wild lol
@@erikadoll2010 Yo the fake meat game has gotten REALLY good in the last few years. I remember trying to eat tofurkey like 10-15 years ago and just not being able to because it was so nasty, and weird after tastes were the norm for pretty much everything. Nowadays? Honestly even the cheap stuff like Morningstar is delicious. Heck they even have vegan pizza rolls now, which aren't exactly healthy but whatev! (Still haven't found a good vegan cheese tho. ^^' That one I guess is harder to figure out.)
Been there, done that. Prepping a whole week worth sounds great at the start, then you open the fridge on day 3, and you just want to close that door. HA HA HA. I'd rather have fresh made meals made daily. It's a learning process. Everyone is different.
This is me for the most part so I will freeze portions from big batches. That way when i am lazy or need to toss a lunch in my bag, I got something ready to go.
Make more than one type of food if you get bored. I usually cook two different meals at the weekend for variety, and often have some frozen meals from a week or two before, so that there is lots to choose from. Also, just make food you like so you aren't bored with it.
@@krombopulos_michael Sorry but eating just two meals during the whole week sounds just as bad. 🤷🏻♀️ Also, food doesn’t stay fresh for more that two days
Wow that is commitment ! I read somewhere that Jennifer Aniston ate the same lunch for the whole 10year run of Friends. That just blows my mind. I could never do that! No matter how much I love something. 😳
Additional tip I learned from my MIL: the cauliflower leaves make for a nice flash pickled side dish, if they are still fresh. Wash well, strip away any severely fibrous bits, and cut into thin slices. Sprinkle with salt and set aside. After 10 minutes, give a taste. Pour out the liquid that was drawn out by the salt, rinse if too salty. Then add sesame oil, a little rice or apple vinegar, and a pinch of sugar. Stir around for a delicious and crunchy side ❤️
I’m not vegan but I love the use of an “everything” sauce or roasting lots of veggies and spices on a sheet pan! I never think of roasting white beans or chick peas. What a great idea! I’m obsessed with grain bowls, probably because there are so many flavors and textures.. always delicious whether it’s made vegan, vegetarian or with meat!
I'm always blown away by how resourceful and creative your cooking is. How you combine flavors, textures, ingredients. It's magic. And you make it all look so simple and wholesome. You're honestly one of my favorite vegan chefs, if not THE favorite. I hope you keep up the great work, it's so inspirational.
Not even vegan or plant-based but love this video. Your video was concise, informational and well-shot. You have a very confident and clear cadence in your voice and give off a very engaging energy. Keep up the great work!!
Wow, this looks wonderful! But, honestly, I can’t imagine doing it in just two hours. I know every time I make a single recipe it takes me two to five times longer than it says. I do want to try this, though, so I’ll block out a day and see if I can make it happen!
I have same problem with prep times. I don't understand how can someone do preparation for recipe i just 5-10 min. I spent half an hour just cutting everything :D. Many times I get ambitious and try to cut ingredients which come later in the pan while previous ingredients are already cooking (which is what they do in cooking videos), but then I'm not fast enough and it starts burning, before I'm ready for the next step.
I like to do my stuff with frozen veggies since they’re cheaper and already prepped. Although I find it works best with Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and butternut squash
Haha, I'm loving this thread. Feels so good to not be alone in my cooking woes. Always takes me half the prep time just cutting out the rotten spots from the produce that I SWORE I'd cook days earlier! And, cooking without a dishwasher is such a grind.
Not only I loved all your tips and recipes, I will use so many of them! But also may I just say how much I appreciate you not adding music. It makes it so much more peaceful to watch. Thank you!
I watched 5 minutes and this is already the most useful meal prep video on the internet, and even though I am not vegan, I don't like to cook meat, and my husband is vegetarian, so this is gold!! Also the video is so professionally put together! You told me your name and what your channel is about, this is very valuable.
You're just so awesome in spirit, personality, and the content that you provide. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this for us! I and thousands of others appreciate you.
Am I the only lazy one? I meal prep, on Sunday takes hours, I eat the same thing for lunch and dinner. I’m not fussy about it 😂I thought I wanted to do different things but that’s hard work 😂😂
I'm like this too... food is fuel for me, idc if its the same (or mostly the same) every day. Just switch up sauces and stuff often. I've lost 50lbs by simply restricting calories and preparing meals because it makes it impossible to over eat!
Same. I meal prep on Sunday and enjoy the food I make for the week even if its the same. I'm not constantly thinking about food or what I'm going to eat. Saves me time and money.
Same! I cook all our meals for the whole week on the weekend. It’s so nice to not have to worry about cooking after working all day. We love leftovers!
Thank you so much for this! Can totally relate to the whole cycle of getting excited about meal prep > eating the preped meal for 2 days > getting bored > end up eating something very unhealthy. Some great tips here to mix things up and keeping it exciting.
All of the moments where I think "well, what if we don't have that", you address it. Love that you used sumak in your recipe but if you dont have it or have access to it then you can leave it out. It allows for flexibility. These videos feel very personal but they're actually versatile.
I realized that I hated eating the prepackaged meals I prepared for the week. So I batch cook now a huge stew, a nutritious grain, and a vegetable or salad that’s packaged separately. I now have almost no food waste and I eat everything I cook. The more experienced you become in the kitchen you will learn what works for you!
These are great tips for any kind of eater (I’m not vegan)! I love the idea to make a crunchy seed and spices topping and a sauce for the week. I also thought it was a great idea to add shallots to cooking water and to roast gnocchi on a sheet pan. I’d never thought to do those two things! Thank you for sharing 😊
I don’t really “meal prep” per se... But, whenever I’m making something from scratch that freezes well (such as curry or pasta sauce), I will make four portions instead of one. Eat one, put one in the fridge and two in the freezer! Then if I go through a week where I’m super motivated to cook I keep cooking multiple things each day and have a variety of meals in the freezer, so when I have a less motivated week or have less time to cook I have loads of different meals “prepped” in the freezer already, and I just have to cook the rice or pasta or whatever to go with them! 😊
My husband and I literally meal prep our entire week of lunches every Sunday and it’s fine. When you work 40-50 hours a week you don’t really care what’s for lunch you just want food. And trust me you don’t want to spend hours making your food on sundays either. Make something you know you like that’s simple, nutritious and preferably either in the oven or grilled. Easy clean up and assembly is key. Meal prepping works and is satisfying if done right.
My husband eats the same lunch every day, I do not. What works for you may not work for all. We didn't do it wrong, we just aren't like you. And that's okay, because as long as we aren't killing animals who the fuck cares how we are achieving that?
@@bhealthhive3329 the literal title of her video is “why meal prep almost never works” not “why meal prepping doesn’t work for me” or “here’s a better way to prepare meals besides meal prepping”. The title of the video is deceiving.
@@Rhiles44 I wouldn’t say it’s deceiving. “Almost never” doesn’t mean better. And it is a fact that it’s a better way how she does it now. It doesn’t mean this way will work for everybody, but it is 100% more nutritious as the body gets all sort of micronutrients every day, and not the same every day. You can eat healthy food, but if you eat the same every day, then it is scientifically proven that you can have nutrient deficiency. But like I said, this method she shows might not work for everybody, and that is fine, as we are all individual human beings ❤️
I'm in this exact situation. I'm at month 3 of my plant based journey and bored of chickpeas curry etc. I need this video thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience.
I've been a vegan for over a decade, and you just illuminated my world! Thank you, I will be a faithful follower! Looks tasty, flavorful, easy, and practical!
I want to share my appreciation for how well thought out and efficient this video is in getting a lot of tips and information across in a short amount of time. Really well done!
Make your own version of junk food, frozen foods, etc.? I make pot pies and freeze them in autumn/winter. There's two frozen crabcakes that I can toss in the oven and will be done by the time I'm done with a shower. I've also got seasoning mixes with nutritional yeast that you can sprinkle on regular popcorn to make them taste like Doritos, etc..
@@meghan1414 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast, ¼ tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp onion powder, ¼ tsp cumin, ¼ tsp paprika, ¼ tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp salt... Mix, add a little bit to your popcorn, include a tiny bit of oil if you'd like, toss to coat. I use a huge gladware with a lid for maximum shaking efficiency.
I made this full meal prep last week, excluding vegan sausage, and I absolutely loved everything! I never thought about roasting beans or chickpeas but wow what a difference. The everything sauce and spicy nuts made every dish perfect. Thank you so much for putting this together.
That beginning meal prep is my favorite type of meal prep. Same thing every day. I don't know why everyone bashes it. I make something delicious on Sunday and I'm good for the week - I do this for breakfast and lunch. This way I can control portion size, grab and go, and allow for more flexiblity for dinner. I understand why this doesn't appeal to everyone but it works, can be delicious, and can be very helpful.
I've been doing it for 2 years now and it took a while to learn to make really nice food and not just "healthy" food. Because you still want to be eating it on day 3!
I agree:) I don't individually pack meals, but I'm absolutely fine with making one big batch of the same food and maybe switching up the veggies throughout the week, and I don't see any issue with that. For a long time the rush to "create variety" was actually causing me stress, I'm not too creative in the kitchen and not a huge fan of cooking in general.
Even as a non-vegan, this is such a great resource for building variety in meals and looking at meal prep differently. I'm so excited to utilize some of these veggie preps and sauces and try this method of meal prep. It's useful both as a guide on integrating even more plant-based tasty meals into our diet, but also so informative on creating multi-purpose and combinable options. So well done!
I tried a variation of this plan last week. GAME CHANGER!!! I've meal prepped for about 5 years, and I usually get bored of the food by the 3rd or 4th day. I loved being able to mix and match and have variety, and will be doing this in the future. Just amazing! Also, I found I didn't quite go through the cooked food fast enough, so I froze it, and thawed it out in a pot with some broth, blended it up and had soup!! So many options!! 🙂
Preach! My personal problem with meal prep is that it does not correspond with what I actually wanna eat - my tastes change every single day and although I might create many different meals, I simply do not feel like eating it a day after. So I might cook one day based on what I'm craving, but tomorrow I don't want it anymore.
Very helpful. I haven't cooked more than twice a week for almost 2 years. Takes about 5 minutes to throw together a great meal when the components & sauces and "throw-on-tops" are all ready in the fridge or freezer.
What’s interesting to me is that eating the same thing for a solid week used to be the norm, even for the upper classes. For quite a long time actually. & some countries still do this.
I do mostly. I rotate between chicken and rice, lentils and vegie curry with rice, sardines with rice, lamb potato curry with rice, pasta bakes and lasagna. I'm not the adventurous type, I just stick to foods I like and rotate when needed
@@stariehearts2366 that sounds really good. I’m partial to Great Depression recipes & recipes from the poor in general. I’m going to try cheese bread soup soon, it’s from the 1700s
@@witchypoo7353 sounds yum! I'm South Asian so we just eat rice, been eating the stuff since I was born so I've learned how to make rice somewhat interesting while still keeping it simple :)
@@stariehearts2366 that’s really cool! I adore rice. The soup can be found on the Townsends channel. They talk about colonial American history. The soup is just bread, hard cheese, & water
Food distribution was not as advanced as today and did not allow for the same variety. Food distribution is also most advanced here in the US. Eating the same thing repeatedly does increase the risk of nutritional deficiencies. Risks elevate when the repeated dishes have limited variety of meats and vegetables combined with a heavy starch component (rice).
I'm new to this channel, I just wanted to say I really appreciate that you actually use oils and fats, too many vegans will not use oil at all and it makes me cringe because some fat is important for your diet. I'm not vegan but I find vegan recipes to be creative and interesting, so I like finding new vegan channels.
Vegan meat/cheese alternatives have way more fat than the real thing oftentimes and nuts (nut butters!), too. So it makes total sense, for me at least, to skip or reduce cooking oils. But I get that it makes recipes worse sometimes.
@@Shirumoon Yes, I sort of got disenchanted seeing a video where a woman said "if you want nonstick but you don't use oil, just use water in the pan!", And being raised Italian where we use tons of olive oil in everything, to sautee and roast etc, I almost got whiplash from my double take. Also yes, some recipes really just need oils. And from the vegans I've seen who skip out on oil for cooking, they totally avoid the fatty cheese replacements and stuff. It's like an irrational fear of fat, assumably some of them grew up when everyone was afraid of fat.
@@kaateeh that's understandable, I just sometimes see the person looks sickly, and they don't use any oil and they live on fruits and carbs. I think some people skip things like oil out of fear of being unhealthy but they also skip a lot of other things to a point where they're not properly nourished. And for me I prefer the recipe to have oil, so it's a personal opinion that I appreciate when chefs use oil in their cooking. But there's much conversation to be had about vegans who don't consume enough vitamins through their diet. That's not any new information :p
No1 should be shaming but I like the channels that provide the options for both oil and oil-free, catering to as many people as possible. I have been using less oil, not because fat is bad but because health-wise, I'd prefer to get the fat from whole food sources like nuts, seeds, coconut, avocado, etc than oil. But of course, nothing wrong with some oil here and there especially if your diet is not too fatty already. and if oil is what it takes for people to enjoy healthier options than they'd otherwise be having, then it's surely worth it.
I was so excited to see the VARIETY in the “meal prep!” I’m actually excited about lunches for work next week! Hope you’ll do more of these, because is actually appealing! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I made this whole “meal prep” today and I am so impressed with myself and these great recipes! I have food for the whole week and it is healthy and so delicious. Thank you!!! PS - I have your banana bread in the oven as I write this too!
My parents (minor) always tell me that the freezer is your bestie when meal prepping because you can change up your meals better and they last longer instead of making one big meal and keeping it in the fridge to eat the same thing every day.
Yeah, my mum always has some pre-portioned hearty veggie soups in the freezer so there's always something to defrost if you really don't know what to have for dinner ✌️
Yeah, I think having individual ingredients prepped, not the entire meals is key. Then you can mix and match throughout the week without having to eat it exactly the same way, every day.
Or instead of having a mother sauce for the week, have various types of sauces prepped and refrigerated/frozen to go on a few base meals for the week. Maybe you've decided that this week is broccoli week so you put gochujang on your broccoli/carrot/tempeh/rice bowl on Monday, while reaching for your lemon tahini on Tuesday and your thai peanut on Wednesday. Even perishable sauces that need to be frozen are helpful, as sauces freeze well while also not taking up much space. You might need to invest in teeny tiny containers to freeze your single portions on sauce (if you don't like using plastic bags for them), but it's so helpful.
This was amazing! Best meal prep video I've seen. I followed your meal prep PDF guide this weekend - very useful, especially the bit listing the order to do things to maximize efficiency. I'm so excited to see how this week goes! In total, it took me around 3.5 hours to buy groceries, make everything, and do all the washing up.
I got the whole list to make this for the week. I of course sampled as I cooked, and it is all SO tasty. It didn’t take long at all!! The everything sauce is restaurant quality good. You’re amazing, and I really really appreciate this delicious meal plan!!
These are great tips! Some other things that help me: - Chopping and bagging up raw veggies so that you can cook or season them any way you'd like - If you cook full meals, alternate the days. Dish 1 on monday and wednesday, Dish 2 on tuesday and thursday. - Do something really simple that doesn't require prep work
i really like how much detail you used! like ive never cut up califlower, so you explaining that helped a lot! also, the fact that you gave replacements for weirder ingredients!!
Great tip for keeping pre-cut salad greens fresh for longer: fold up a paper towel and stuff it in the bag/box at the bottom. This wil absorb the moisture and prevent the greens from going bad too soon!
I started my journey full time in 2020 before the shutdown and have been going strong...but this gives me a few ideas on how to keep things fresh and interesting. Thank You!
I'm not vegan but this was a very helpful video! I was long searching for a video that breaks down meal prep strategy vs. just showing me a meal prep. I constantly struggle with boredom after 2 days of a meal prep. Will be watching your channel for your recipes as I love finding more ways to get my veggies in!
You are AMAZING!!! I love watching your channel and trying your recipes! Thank you for all your hard work and attention to detail. I especially love the PDF handouts. You've made eating vegan a lot easier for those of us who are new to it.
I made a veggie and bean stir fry and paired it with boiled yellow potatoes. I was wondering what seasonings I was going to use on it the next 3 times I ate it(I made 3 portions). Then I watched this video. Your green sauce looked amazing. I made it to go with my lunch. Perfection. Exactly the taste I have been craving. I left my herbs a bit chunkier than you did because I used my blender. I will be putting your sauce on my list permanently! Thank you so much for this healthy treat.
i LOVE this take on meal prepping. my biggest advice has always been find what works for you and your lifestyle and this is a wonderful example of that.
That's why I will prep veggies for salads etc. for a week but for dinners usually will make someting that will only last 2 days. Thanks for the awesome video, Nisha!
Love your channel. I have to omit the oil and fats due to a medical condition but I can make these easily without! Thank you for this! Learning how to be more efficient with your help! 🌸🌼🌺
Simply, thank you! After lots of trial and error I came to the same realization. Yes it's nice to have a set of oidentical containers in the fridge with meals ready to go, but so boring. Building blocks is the way to go. Keep sharing this type of prep with different ingredients, much appreciated!
Nisha, I know this work can't be easy. But you're changing my life and the lives of so many for the better. I am so grateful for this video. I never thought i could eat farro and enjoy it for ANY REASON. Bless u.
I honestly never really tried Meal-prep becaus I already know I can't eat the same meals everyday. I would just get bored and I'm never sure what I want to eat in 3 days time.
I'm so confused about the idea that meal-prep apparently is seen as eating the same meal every day? I kind of meal prep, which means that when I cook I cook 4 or 6 portions instead of 1 or 2 (for just me, or me and my partner), let everything cool off, chuck it in a container in 1 or 2 portion-sizes and put it in the freezer. It works wonders for all kinds of pasta sauces, stews, or soups. And I have a bunch of pre-packaged naan, pita bread, and other stuff with an okay shelf life that I can just pull open the freezer, turn on the oven for the naan/pita/french bread, boil some rice/pasta/noodles and be done. I thik at the moment I have 6 different kinds of dinners in my freezer? I thought mealprep was supposed to be something like that, but then without the freezer part, that you just made two or three different things, ate it fresh one day and put it in the fridge for the other two days. Eating the same thing all week sounds horrible to me...
I made all these meal preps yesterday - everything tastes delicious! I could eat the sauces with a spoon!!! Just made the sandwich for lunch today, and it was fabulous! You're right; the secret to vegan cooking is in layering the flavors; thank you for these. I can be lazy with cooking, but making these meal preps in advance means I will look forward to every meal this week. Thank you so much!
Hello?? Like I am not bored of the food. I was raised on leftovers. I have zero problems eating something over and over again. The problem is I eat my meals for the week in 3 days because I am still hungry. I need advice on that. Healthy food is great. I like eating it. But it just isn't as filling as Carbs city. And then I binge on carbs because I just need to feel full.
@@birdiewolf3497 you need to build balanced plates for example 1/2 of the plate with veggies roasted or steamed with spices or raw 1/4 proteins like tofu beans tempeh seitan and 1/4 carbs like whole wheat pasta, beans pasta like chickpea pasta. A well add some snacks in your day like hummus with veggies, nut or seed butter with fruits, salad of fruit with soy yogurt and some granola. step up your protein intake by eating more of tempeh, whole wheat pasta rice etc. Take at least 20 min to eat by chewing 20 times per bites to achieve satiety. Eat breakfast between 6:00 to 11:00 , lunch 12:00 to 14:00, snack around 16:00 and dinner between 19:00 to 23:00. For breakfast eat porridge, granola with soy yogurt with fruit, scramble tofu with a whole wheat piece of bread and some roasted veggies etc
@@lily-zv2fb Yeah. I already try to balance my plate. I don't mean I didn't put a lot of carbs in my meal prep. I still ate carbs, just less than what I am used too which is literally a whole plate of rice, pasta, or some other carb and some little protein on the side. I try to pack on the protein, but it doesn't work. Like I would have to eat a lot of protein which isn't sustainable money wise. Same with snacking on fruit and nuts. I do this already. But I can't eat a bag of grapes a day. I can't eat a container of strawberries and blueberries a day. I can't eat a container of nuts a day. That is what it would take. I try all that, but at the end of the day I end up stuffing my face with potatoes, bread, rice, and pasta. And these things are easier on the wallet. That's my issue with eating healthy. The amount of food I would need to eat to get same kind of satiation is ridiculous. Idk. It is probably too late for me. I literally grew up on a carb heavy diet. Like all our food came down to rice and yam. It was different varieties of those two things.
@@birdiewolf3497 me too i am a quite big eater and what helped me a lot is every time i eat i try to take at least 20 min to feel full by chewing a lot and using smaller plates and forks
Nisha, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I downloaded the PDF file and used it to prepare my meals for the week. Much easier than spending 2 hours or more every day cooking.
use the freezer! Make food, more than you need. Put it in meal containers in the freezer. Then you dont have to eat the same thing every day for a week, you can take it out a week later and eat it then.
🙌🏾 Thank you so much! I've had the same issue with meal prep. Lately I've been wanting to go back to doing it because it is convenient to have your meals done for the week, but eating the same thing everyday gets so boring. I appreciate you creating this video 🌺 Now I actually be excited to prep and eat 😁🤗
I have to meal prep just because my schedule is insane right now. I don’t mind eating the same thing for 2/3 days, I’m not super picky. If it tastes good, then I’m fine. Love your sauce tip! I’ll definitely be trying that out
I've been doing prep meals for years with my husband. Same food every day for months 😂. My secret is lack of love for eating food + hate cooking I cook with my husband meals for 2 weeks, put everything in the freezer and just enjoy not having to cook anything for the next 15 days. 😁
It's good you found a way for your situation. I'm super simple and tend to be ok with the cookie cutter meals over and over. I don't cook in advance, though, and vary amounts. It's usually whole wheat pasta and black beans, with spinach on the side but I sometimes make whole wheat bread instead of the pasta. =D Fruits taste super rich to me since I quit all sweets other than the fruits. Done with salt, too. I think helps me from overeating. I weigh out everything I eat and it doesn't take too long. Cooking is simple. A great deal of society and culture is food related. I can still eat from cultures as do you but healthier :)
I'm not even a vegetarian (I am an omnivore) but I very much enjoyed your video and cooking tips! I love roasted veggies, but never thought to roast beans! Toasting whole spices is the best.
When I meal prep, I make freezer meals out of half them so it makes like a frozen dinner and I can choose from a variety of different meals after a few weeks of different recipes
I just cannot believe you actually put out all of this information for free. Not to mention the outstanding production value and the free pdf. I feel guilty for only liking and subscribing to your channel... Wow
