Why Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be AMAZING! | First Impressions & Analysis 

Samus has a compass on her hud. I think this heavily implies we can expect larger open areas to explore when compared to the original trilogy.

I hope we get a port or remaster of Echoes and Corruption while we wait for Beyond. Ive never played Corruption because I cant use wi motion controls due to an arm disability.

I personally think Prime 4 already looks much better than Prime 1 remaster, and for one simple reason: Level geometry. The game is obviously made with the Switches hardware in mind, which is reflected in the level design. It looks much less boxy, less artificial. It actually looks like a world that does not just exist for the sake of the player.

I hope that the other bounty hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters would make appearances in this game as well as Sylux. Maybe they could aid Samus in dealing with Sylux?

I kinda hope for a Prime Hunters Switch version would be cool

"doesn't look significantly better than prime Remastered" WHAT?? the textures may not be a massive improvement, but the effects over the top of those trailers, the geometry, the lighting, and the cinematic camera effects are all huge.

As all metroid Prime games, one of my favorite series of my life, it looks very nice. But it also looks exactly like other Metroid prime games. So, it will be amazing, I'll buy and I'll love it but.. let's not say they are innovative, they are what they are and as good and as similar to previous ones.

I can definitely say Prime 4 will be a cross gen game for Switch 2, so anyone worrying about the graphics I think Retro will upgrade it heavely.

I'm excited for the game, but I disgree completely with the "we don't need the wheel reinvented, just a new game" argument, seems lazy and conformist Think about how Metroid jumped and evolved between Super Metroid and Prime 1, and that was just an 8 year gap The last 3D metroid is technically other M which released in 2010, making this a gap of 15 years between that at Prime 4, almost double the time between Super and Prime 1 So, yes, Metroid 4 SHOULD be reinventing the wheel, WHY is it coming back if it doesn't have anything new and meaningful to show? Metroid historically isn't a heavy hitter in terms of sales, so it can't really rely on "fans will buy it" like a new Zelda or Mario game can, I hope we can see more of what makes this game unique soon, otherwise get ready to wait until the Switch 3 or 4 for the next entry

Never thought about Metroid lacking actual villains before, where most were just cosmic parasite entities functioning off unstable biological instincts (aside from Raven Beak, who seemed a bit one-dimensional honestly and just had a good complex plan). There’s a lot they could do with a more calculated villain like Sylux who has been planning a Federation revolt for likely many, many years or possibly decades. Hoping his presence adds to the grandness of the Metroid universe in ways like making his motives reflect the state of the galaxy or something (i.e. Sylux’s hatred of the Federation being based in a soup of complex issues from galactic law enforcement which hinder the lives of many intergalactic species, just as a minor example)

I' just gonna replay all my Metroid games until Prime 4 comes out. I haven't played a lot of them in a while and I'm super hyped for Prime 4 regardless. since its a game many of have been waiting for since the launch year of the Nintendo Switch

This is one of the only upcoming games in the last decade that has filled me with a youthful excitement like the old days. It's gonna be bittersweet when this game is in my hands because there wont be anything left that I'm really looking forward to aside from I guess Deltarune.

Ever since hearing that Retro Studios took over, I had a feeling this game would be great, and so far, it does! Nintendo knows that there are high, high expectations for this game, and I think they want to deliver on those.

I would always expect prime to be prime but prime not being reinvented. In a Metroid maybe but not a prime.

OGs know the real wait was 17 years, and still won't come out for a total of 18 years.

Im very excited for this game! I kinda hope it will balance out on continuing on the story for current fans but I also hope it will be a good starting point for new fans of the franchise who are going to play this as their first ever prime game (such as myself)! 😎🥳

It's so interesting, because you could even tie all the subtitles together to form a rather thought provoking phrase Metroid: Echoes Corruption Beyond. Sort of like saying there is something out there that echoes a type of corruption beyond anything before it, or from corruption that simply echoes beyond what was thought it could do. OR, that the Metroids are echoing a corruption beyond what is normally known or understood. SO MANY things could be taken from this phrase, it's so cool to think about!

I strongly dessagree with many things. This series needs to evolve. For a new generation it needs to be flourish like mario and zelda have been doing, it can't be the same thing after all these years. And yes Metroid Prime is a first person shooter, heck you even needs to shoot at doors to open. Just nintendo doesn't admit because you know, it's nintendo. Just because it is a "metroidvania" and has other elements it doesn't mean it isn't a first person shooter. This game needs to evolve and not just please old guys with closed minds. The only thing it can't do is lose it's identity, it still needs to be, well, metroid prime.
