Was raised on Bases all over here and also overseas while My Dad served 20 years in The Air Force. Absolutely THE greatest upbringing EVER! Dad’s been flying Sorties Up Yonder for 4 years now and, make no mistake, I miss him SOOO MUCH…but…I am very glad he’s not here to “see” the ever-increasing-blows to our Military; to our Nation. If he was…he’d die of a broken heart 😢 No way in hell that EVEN ONE Veteran should be out on the street 🤬 or without support. Appreciate YOU more than you know!! 🙏 🇺🇸 💕

Hurtful to hear this song, after hearing from the mouths of vets how this country's current administration is treating them, and the way they've been looked at and treated after having made sacrifices that most are afraid to put on the line, point blank. It's not right where the current admin is sending you, or the tasks they are giving you, or how they treat you day-to-day, but we know your hearts have been in the right place, and continue to be. You've given and still give part of yourself to help others, and the Lord doesn't forget that, and neither will America. My father, who served in the air force during vietnam, spent my entire life convincing me that it was a horrible terrible idea to join the military. He called it corrupt for decades. "Not the men, but the machine", he would say. Now at 43 years old, I am kicking myself in the ass for ever listening to him. But I was young and impressionable and it was my father after all. This man told me horror stories. I almost did on 9/12. I chose the navy, a fairly safe place to be at the time. I wasn't in the recruiter's office 15 minutes and my father comes bursting through the door. Beat my ass right there on the spot, and he beat me like I was a grown f****** man, cuz I was. I had just turned 21 years old. The recruiter gets up out of his chair and says don't disobey your father, and walks out of the room. My father says, "I'm not going to stop you from signing the paper son, I'm just going to beat your ass every time you pick up a pen". I never tried to enlist again.

Thank you for another amazing song brother. I just recently had my psych eval for ptsd for teh VA and even the doc said it's sad how much time and money is spent into programming us and then they just throw us out like trash with no deprogramming. I personally thought I was fine until my cousin who is a Marine reminded me that no matter how normal we think we are, we will never be the same as we were before we joined. So on that I emplore all of our brothers and sisters to complete their packets because we are our only advocates when it comes to the VA. US Army 2006-2014. Happy Veterans Day brother!

Here's the messed up part his message, I'm an OIF veteran, never really got the transitioning help I needed to move into civilian life, but it's doable. Not for me, I just reenlisted today after 15 years knowing it will be the same if I get out before I actually retire this time. If I stayed I'd be retired already, but at this rate I'll be in til I'm 57.

I knew how the government treated us before I joined, Im 6th generation service and will likely be the last unless a drastic change occurs in the command culture of our military and in the governing bodies. The ones I feel bad for are the future veterans that will be forged, damaged, then replaced in what looks to be the next forever war in the middle east. How long until our government's solution is to offer MAID (medical assistance in death) like Canada instead of taking care of the men and women who everything so that others can know freedom?
