I was jumpscared by how low the crossbow values were when I checked just the other day. I never thought they would be THIS low. Same with some of those chromas

I never imagined ice pericer, harvester,swirly to go down extremely much

so in a few years this will happen to travelers axe and gingerscope aswell, wow thats tragic..

I cant even find a single player who is giving their bows for a fair or lose trade, it's still getting an op even tho it is underpaid for like wth?

As someone who’s dream gun is harvester, I’m not that mad about it dropping value a bit 😂😅 but it’s sad how low everything is now..

Also, another reason is because that their be websites where you can buy stuff and a lot of people bought harvesters ice piercers that’s why it dropping

I used to have 2 ginger scopes and I sold one for a few rare godlys like icepiercer and harvester + some more but now those items lost their value, still have one gingerscope

I came back to my eternalcane set from being a good set to being worth less than a luger combined

Harv is now 800 and i traded for something way lower it was like 500 😢

The worse part is if you ever want to get something like G scope for example it used to be worth 2 icep bc the values were stable and bc of the shops now G scope is worth like 8 icep like Wth this is why I quitted the game it’s so annoying and there’s barely any good updates.

Prediction:gingerscope, all cross bows, all ancients will go below 100 value, all chromas will go below 50 and the rest will be more values draining So the moral is:don't ever waste your time grinding for those items that has a dying value... Even those Easter and Halloween bundles like rainbow spectre flowerwood values will be the same as plasma set and ice flake set🥲

It's weird how SHOP GODLIES used to be worth around 20 but now new shop goldies are worth like 200+

As a trader, the main reason all of those items drop so much is because lots of seller stocker accounts drive them into the ground, trading for the unduped items of 2023 onward. For example, they give 25 bats for a gingerscope or 100 bows for a chroma traveler gun.

It’s very sad that all these items have decreased so much. I really hope one day we can see some of these weapons go back up

I stopped trading around 2 years ago because the economy is so predictable. In 2021, every month a few items would become super valuable due to no one caring about it, and then would crash due to everyone trading it or duping. This seems to be happening on a longer scale now. In a year, ginger scope and travelers axe will be too much in circulation, and harvester and ice piercer will rise again due to no one caring about it for a while.

I agree with your thoughts and statement. In the first place, 2021-2022 godlies/ancients were all doing pretty decent/good and held their value in thousands, such as harv/icep/corrupt being 3k-5k, bat, sw items 1,7k-3k value the whole 2021/22 to 2023. Now, by 2024 they have been dropped a lot, due to mass releasing and the mm2 websites. For example, harv/icep had a chance for a rise at the beginning of April, when they were at 1200-1300 value and had dropped a lot, but guess what? They only rose 150 value and one day people started to trade away their crossbows for trav/gscope, since it lost hype, but its not about the hype, its about the circulation and selling (for example selling mm2 stuff for adopt me or cross trading) plus there are so many mm2shop websites, where people are buying their dream weapons and don't want to trade for these anymore and its very oftenly happened with icep/harv. To be honest, the most circulated items are crossbows. One day I feared that even blossom/sakura will be over the crossbow and it lately happened. Like be honest yall, would you take some basic shop bundle gun over the real crossbow looking gun, which has special sound effect. This is gone so wrong, I don't judge the valuemakers, I judge the mm2 sellers/stockers, who are mass releasing them. Secondly, I don't see much wrong about the trav axe and gingerscope. I find out that they are pretty hyped, like crossbows would be, but the only difference between crossbows and gsc/trav axe is that trav axe and gsc aren't mass released and circulated too often. If just crossbows and other 2021/22 items weren't massively released and selled too oftenly, they would be still a great invest and valued at some thousands. If I was trading around 2023, I saw people only having a few 2021/22 items, but now as an trader I see people just giving for trav axe/gscope/2023 chromas their mass released 2021/22 stocks, like harv/icep/bat/2021-2022 chroma etc stacks. For example stockers are too oftenly giving like 10+/10 harvs/iceps for just a one single trav axe/gscope. Finally, in my opinion 2021/22 items were with a great value, but now there are only good items the 2023 items, which some of them are pretty overvalued tbh. Like the best item before the trav axe comes the trav gun, which has 1,6k value and after that the next better item after the trav gun is trav axe which has 5,4k value. Its very big difference between the best item before the trav axe. Like wth. So technically if you want to have gscope/trav axe or high tier chromas, then you need to have so many items. If we look last year values then the weapons didn't have such a big difference of value. SO YEAH I HOPE SOMEBODY ISN'T TOO LAZY TO READ MY "ESSAY"😂 😂😂😂

This is so sad. I really hope that these old items could revive in the future like 2 years from now on. I won’t be Trading or active in the MM2 Trading economy anymore. As most of my items were like Harvester i had stack up on and now seeing it rapidly go down. I lost my way on trading as it was ridiculously hard to trade off and most of the items that are in good Value Now are really expensive. I’m very depressed by this i have now become a brokie as i left the game for almost a year and now suprised they’re nothing but worth like a seer. I’ll remember my 2021-2023 Peak years of trading consistently but now i’ll have to leave. Goodbye MM2 👋

Perfect explanation! As new items release naturally they’ll become more desirable, overshadowing older items. My personal theory on the 2022 duping is that dupers didn’t want icewing 2.0 so they slowly distributed these items, more so currently which caused them to crash. (not confirmed) Kinda what you were saying.

Welp. Yes tragic that i've wasted so much to gain weapons only to see it drop dramatically in value but. I can take advantage of this crisis by trying to get every weapon in the game

It’s sad to see the drastic change in values in Murder Mystery 2. But, to be honest, we’re really the reason for all of this. Although yes, duping isn’t caused by us, but of course, caused by dupers. But I’m talking about MM2 deals in trading servers, or to get fancier, “Stocker Deals”. If you dotn know what I’m talking about, these “Stockers” sell MM2 and make profit from it, but the main way they make profit, is by giving us overpay in MM2 items for another item in MM2. Believe it or not, them giving us overpay can cause things such as “Mass Releases” which drop values horribly because we’re getting stuff for super cheap which causes those items they gave us to drop, since they’re giving it for underpay, which we would obviously take since it is a win in value (for us). Take this as an example, around the summer time of 2023, 2.5 Sakura sets would equal a Harvester back then, now though, 1 Sakura set = 2 Harvester + Adds, and the reason why this happens is because stockers give us overpay in MM2 items for another. Which, like I said before, drops the value of the item they’re giving us, since they’re giving it away for underpay, which causes them to drop. To sum it up though, “Stockers” are giving us overpay in MM2 items, for other MM2 items, which causes the overpay items they gave us to drop because they’re getting “released”. This might sound like a bunch of bull crap, but we can’t just point fingers at people such as dupers for ruining the economy, when we’re the ones that also accepted the items for cheap. I might sound confusing, so if there’s anything you guys want to know, just comment down below and I’ll try to answer any questions. But to answer your question Colbe, there was another mass dupping of popular MM2 items around the beginning of 2024 or so, such as Color seer dupes, and more, which is also why the MM2 economy is so bad right now, but it wouldn’t be as bad, if we didn’t accept these items for overpay. (Also the reason why 2023+ items didn’t drop compared to 2022 and below is because they’re undupable or something. It’s confusing.)

Another reason to why some items are dropping (specifically: Harv, icep, ewb, c ewb, ccc, ms and bat) are because of stockers, stockers trade for a lot of a certain item when they are low then they trade them for other items like robux shop sets because people didn’t want them as much as other items so when people saw the opportunity to get these cool high value weapons everyone went for it, that’s now why you see things like Sakura set, dark set, rb set and ocean set way higher than the old high tiers, hope this helps some way, keep up the great work colbe

It's quite a nusiance. Values have been dropping quite heavily, and what I mostly think of it as an MM2 trader, its mainly because of duping and them circulating them out into the community. This makes values drop heavily, and its quite annoying as a fellow trader.

Sadly I quit mm2 so but I still come here to listen to the drama :3

Actually the newest duping incident was in february of this year where evergreens got duped

The strangest thing is - Sakura set like WHY? It’s 1200 value for no reason I remember when it dropped it was 840 WHEN IS DROPPED in fact items more expensive when they just dropped , idk plus no one want it and it’s kinda ugly..?

I think the solution to duping is to add something like what jailbreak did, jailbreak has an "original owner" in the items description. if say awesomecoolgamer12345 has 400 harvesters with his name on it, chances are its a dupe, but if girlyjamal65 only has one, then its not a dupe.

I dont think that harvester will go lower than 500. I think it will start rising in like 5 months or smth bc harvester isnt like a normal gun.

My theory is there is alot of MM2 RU-vidrs promoting MM2 bkack market websites I don't know where they are getting this much of items to sell it maybe mass duped iteams so people won't put effort to get a rare iteam they just buy it with money so more people buy the iteam the value of the drop for example one of my favorite knife Candy that knife was pertty rare before these black market websites introduced but now it's dropping. I really hope these Popular MM2 RU-vidrs stop promoting these black market websites.
