Let’s just blur the lines a bit who in their right minds would run 🏃♂️ up on Rena Mishima trying to pick with her just because she’s hot 😂 and get a face full of electric uppercuts and spinning heel kicks???
Yep If I had the power I'd empty prisons and have asylums be filled by them ( a lot of prisoners are legitimately mentally unwell ( unlike b.s. tik tok mental illness
Well it would make sense after all like as Capcom" is Japanese. Asians don't give a Freak what those kinds of people have to say like witch thank god they don't and that they are Strong Willed people.
Capcom mostly kept the face models as a 1-to-1 scan of their real life counterparts for the reRemakes and DMC5 but most western studios modify or even swap their models; both male and female.
I am not a big fan of those types of games myself, but watching the gameplay I was actually liking the setting and visuals (Besides the obvious) quite a bit more than I assumed I would.
I'm half-convinced that not only is this trend part of the overall "body positivity" movement, but that it's a low-key drive to normalize trans "women". By making female characters tougher and tougher to distinguish from men cosplaying as women, I think they are trying to get people, particularly kids, used to the idea that this is just what "women" look like. That its normal and desirable for a "woman" to have a lantern jaw and an Adam's apple.
Thought this was obvious, but so many people don't seem to understand this. Glad there are a few like yourself who see the REAL agenda here. All to make the world more gae and sodomite-like. We know that people like Diddy are at the top pulling the strings, so is this any surprise?
But at the same time, why couldn’t they have just found someone who isn’t as attractive. It would’ve at least of made the character look more realistic
@@Extreme96PL lol The comparison is stupid. When it certainly has similarities, those similarities are almost non-existent. Square face, deeper set eyes, plus it looks much more masculine and dirty than the beutiful model and that's what we're talking about.
We don’t play as female characters because of misogyny we play as them because they’re beautiful and they usually have the skill set of the male counterpart which is just a bonus. A badd ass beauty… These activist can get bent.
exactly, if in a game i can create a my character i make first a male that look like i`am looking like but more beautiflull, then when i like the game my second character is a female, a beautifull female i love playing as in that game. i would never ever create an ugly person too play as why should i. in many older games i play as the female from the start because she looks so much better and they mostly have more beautifull customisation in the game for her then the male counterpart. i just like kicking ass as an beautifull beeing thats all because it is fun, and games are in existence too have fun with. i don`t need an reminder how horrible reality can be in games, i just like too have fun with it while playing it. no complicated stuff nothing just having fun is my main goal while playing a game, if the game is no fun too me i don`t play it or stop playing it and next time look a bit closer before buying it. it is simple as that.
Chloe Frazer in Uncharted Lost Legacy is beautifully designed; and they gave her a cool back story with witty commentary. Not sure why companies are afraid to do this anymore.
I love Optimus Prime, but does that mean I’m a 25ft tall robot that can transform into a truck? Of course not but just because he is doesn’t mean I can’t sympathize or relate to that character.
I am Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, conquerer of the universe. If you do not bow to me and you don't use my pronouns "your/lord" you disrespect my indentity and that is offensive.
Ya disney is dumb as hell I'm in canada and the new star wars game coming out is 169.99 plus taxes for the complete version of a single play through game.
2:56 I'd be fine with looking ugly in a video game or movie if the character required it. Like, if I mo-capped for a Goblin or an Orc or some kind of old man or something, like Andy Serkis did for Gollum, something like that. But if the character is supposed to "look like me," then yea, I better actually look like myself or be built like Thor. No exceptions.
I hate to go all "PC Master Race" on it all, but this is why I tend to exclusively buy games on PC. The modding community is the saving grace against developers who produce these Femasculine characters by releasing texture/beautification mods.
Ubisoft I want you to know that the Star Wars Outlaws money I was gonna spend went to Stellar Blade instead. Digital Deluxe Edition. Next time you have a Earnings Meeting Ubisoft you read this comment and discuss why I might have chosen this path.
To me, this 'uglyfication' thing in gaming started with Dragon Age Inquisition. Both Sera and Josephine must have _very intentionally_ been 'uglified' otherwise not a single artist in this industry would have purposefully done that. But it was just the start in that game, so the issue is limited to just a few select "chosen" characters. However, the real offender I think was Mass Effect Andromeda. The devs for that game probably looked back at the ghastly models of Oblivion and thought "let's just modernize those!" and they went with it. There's no other explanations. Since Andromeda came out there's been a race within the big studios in the industry to 'surpass' the previous offender, it is an unceasing, relentless force of darkness.
The old Angry Joe video where you and Scar Lo both gave your opinions, her female perspective is the perfect example how to carry yourself, boundaries, limitations and above most privacy - strong morals, values and standards make a Strong Female Character IMO
Thinking about recent western made games, I thought Kassandra from AC Odyssey had a nice design. She was fit and strong, but looked good imo. Lara Croft from the Tomb Rainder Reboot is another. Generally, one trend I'm noticing is that western developers have adopted the more "photorealistic" approach, which doesn't necessarily translate into a more appealing art style. Eastern developers still made their characters somewhat "Anime", in spite of them being partially photorealistic as well. Generally, I'm not a big fan of extreme "gritty" photorealism anyway.
Honestly the only western devs that haven’t had this issue so far is CDPR and Larian. The Witcher games, Cyberpunk 2077, and BG3 all have attractive women and aren’t afraid to flaunt them.
Mass Effect: Andromeda, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Last of Us 2; all were victims of making the women ugly. I won't be surprised if they do the same to Witcher 4.
I remember in 09 being obsessed with "Disclosure 2010" and hearing that there'll be a fake alien attack. seeing how the world powers are colliding today I can imagine how that could be some countries Ace card
Ive been thinking about it and maybe it is also a problem of worse face animation. Because sometimes a character looks good in certain angles, with certain expression, and then poorly in another angle or using another expression. The same face. For example the girl from Star Wars Outlaws, I dont think the face is unattractive. But if you pick certain angles and expressions, then it looks worse.
Tyrone, that Conan clip is not from Conan the Barbarian, it's from the sequel, Conan the Destroyer. Both are good movies, but Barbarian is much better.
I will always find the France "Journalist" take hilarious, what a confused individual. "Im gonna defend women, by insulting attractive women everywhere and implying they should feel bad because their existence is damaging to other women."
I wish this stereotype would stop because it’s happening in movies and other places. Like whatever happened to the good old days when this stereotype wasn’t that big of a thing?
Anime characters will always be better looking than western characters. Anime also offers the audience an ESCAPE from reality, something that western movies needs to bring back now more than ever.
