Loved the idea of momentum and simple ranking system. Had tried it few years back , pretty reassuring to get back to it. Quick question- I plan to follow the simple top 20 stocks of cnx200 and rebalance every month. Do we have a backtest of which works better- 1 yr returns or 6 month returns for ranking the stocks? Just checked the strategy mentioned in this video and sorry to say but the same strategy is available on their small case as well and last 4 year CAGR is only 10% for this strategy which is very very poor.. Please check returns of the same strategy mentioned here on their smallcase named Mi_LT_CNX200.. Very poor judgment to promote such strategy vivek sir..

@@chinnammand5956 it’s fundamentally flaw, momentum doesn’t get actual value, it is a price action, classic case being Adani group. Now that it is in nifty 50, it will struggle.

Can they lie on con calls if not what is reason behind it? What are the regulations they have to abide at the time of organizing these calls for stakeholders? Reversion to mean is possible in all the stocks of the portfolio and one cannot predict upward movement. It's a high risk high reward strategy that works well on the trending market.

@Alok jain sir, I have a doubt. I have 10000 shares of IOC at 70₹, Now i sell the call at 72 strike price. What happened if on the expiry day may Call is in the money and I forget to square off. 1. They automatically deduct 1 lot share from my account. Or They will take a panelty and give me share by auction with 6% to 20% penalty.

Believe me i have the same strategy figured out just few months back i never earned a penny before this strategy for 3 years. 1. Create a pool of fundamentally good growth oriented small and mid cap stocks 2. Select minimum 30 stocks in the pool 3. Buy all stocks worth 10000 shares quantity is irrespective here 4. Look the stocks whic are in momentum and running and fuel them with more and more money step by step likr upward averaging, the more it runs the more fuel you add which is your money 6 finally sell all stocks downside of 15 percent stop loss except for 10000 worth until it gives you another cycle of momentum.

I'd been in markets for more than 5 years and many a times came across this word Momentum investing. I was very uncomfortable about this term nd always associated this term to Trading nd because of that it's a big NO NO for me to practice this. After watching this video,firstly i want to heartfully thank Mr Vivek Bajaj for bringing Mr Alok Jain to this platform. Next, i want to Thank Alokji for beautifully putting up the frame work of how exactly to practice this method. Now, I'm convinced enough to dissociate myself from my earlier thought process and give this a try.

My question is all about money management. Suppose I invest 1 lakh rs each stock and total 20 stocks so many total investment amount is 20 lakhs. Next month I exist a stock taking loss of 20%. So my amount is now 80 thousand so now I am bound to invest 80 thousand in the stock which is no rank in first 20. And again next month I book profit of 40% in another stock then my amount will be 140 thousand so now I have to invest 140 thousand in the stock which is now in first 20 stocks. Please let me understand this
