Sometimes I wish that the producers of MLB would have tried making adrien's and marinette's forms a bit more unique to their normal selves. it's really annoying to find such dense characters when the main cast looks exactly like their other form. Alya's looks so unique and you couldn't really tell it was her, but it's so obvious between the main characters and their superhero form, that's why it's annoying when they're so oblivious lmao well-
I wouldn’t be able to tell chat was adrien until the reflekdoll episode where he looked more like himself. But Marinettes costume doesn’t do a great job of hiding her identity at all.
Life Of A Haydur to be fair, I’m willing to give the whole “not recognizing each other in and out of costume even though it’s so obvious” a pass because it’s likely the Miraculous has some sort of magic preventing them from recognizing each other. However, I can’t excuse the obvious signs and clues pointing to them being eachother
@@naioriofficial its really annoying as a viewer because you'd think that the show would atleast try to make it so it's obvious and at least the main cast would recognize them, in costume. But you know, the show isn't going anywhere because it takes like 10 filler episodes to actually get a story and plotline.
@@amalphia63 This was more or less confirmed in the series. It's literal magic, like a spell that makes them seem not at all similar to their real selves. I know people who are similar, but don't look alike. I don't go around thinking they're the same person. I get the frustration, but it's *magic*, people. Like how cinderella's step mom and sisters couldn't recognize her at the ball.
i think glaciator is for marichat and lady noir shippers and oblivo is for adrientte and ladrien shippers that why i like glaciator more then oblivo because i like the interaction more and make me ship them more then oblivo
@@ladynooir_ns2288 The kiss was the best but another thing I loved about oblivio was that they loved eachother even though they forgot all their memories they still loved eachother.
my hot take? everything went south after the second season. all character depth was lost, all the supporting cast was pushed off to the side, all tension disappeared and the plot was thrown out the window. season 3 especially seems like pure fanservice with very little if any overarching plot structure. season 1 however did almost everything right, and season 2 actually felt good to watch also dont @ me but desperada was the worst episode since puppeteer 2.0 in terms of uselessness, no offense to luka. the writers do him and kagami SO dirty all the time
I think this is a good episode for Marichat, I do like it but there is one small concern I have with it - which is they do make Marinette/Ladybug act like a total jerk and throw a fit and then later Cat Noir is a bit tetchy too.. I think the emotional pay of does compensate for this - but she still does absolutely throw a tantrum at the start of the episode. I don't mind as I think she's a hypocrite and liar and a reflection of Chloe so I think she has to be kinda horrible for her character to grow, If she stays being a jerk through the whole run of the show though I may have to reassess what I feel about Canon Miraculous. But this bit of Marichat is essential stuff, and also plot important and has some of the best Dialogue (which incidentally Thomas didn't write all of). It does similar things as Frozer and Syren but I do like it a lot, and it has nothing in it that I dislike ; I don't like it more than Oblivio or Kwamibuster though personally.
I love Glaciator. But, if I want to be honest here, my favourite episode would be Sandboy. It has everything I never thought I wanted, but I always needed. It has Nooroo, it has Tikki, it has Plagg in all of his glory, it has all the other kwamis and kwami realm, it has master Fu, it has Marinette looking at cat memes at 3 a.m, it has Adrien being claustrophobic, it has Gabriel being a megalomaniac, it has nightmare Adrien and most importantly it contains right amount of Ladynoir angst and fluff.
So true well I don't know about you but I ship plagg and tikki and in the other hand we have signs of ladynoir ... ladybug in the end literally says " you don't think I'm as evil as your nightmare right?" And chat says "ofcourse not you're the lady of my dreams " like I love this seen also chat saves ladybug from the evil ladybug in this episode. And ofcourse there's a lot of partner work as well making it even better.
I think the meaning in Oblivio is pretty obvious - it's saying that the only thing stopping these two being a couple - is themselves and when they are not constantly getting in each others way and having missunderstandings and doubts they mesh perfectly - you see this in their synchronicity in combat - Oblivio shows it in a similar way but also in a relationship way. One of the most important lines is that Hawkmoth confirms that she feels something too - as well you can't always be sure what the heck is going on in LB's crazy brain. Oblivio is "hope" for their future. & Cat Blanc is "fear" or what happens when it all goes wrong. Oblivio - pushes them together and makes Marinette think & Adrien dream and keeps his hopes alive. Whereas Cat Blanc plunges a dagger into that hope's heart. So now we have to explore a new path to love as this one is kinda a dead end. but Oblivio and Cat Blanc complement each other emotionally.
Great analysis! I agree with you on the fact that as good as Oblivio was to watch, it was basically fanservice filler and it was frustrating how little of an effect it had on the plot XD. I also think that Puppeteer 2 could be (almost) as good as Glaciator: the dinamic between Adrien and Marinette gets explored (they grew so much closer since season 1!), he finally mentions to her he's in love with "a girl", Ladybug asks Chat for love advice, and there are even some cute moments between Adrien and Plagg! Plus, the animation looks gorgeous! We just don't know if it'll all have a big impact on the plot yet, but I really hope so!
Maddy Donuts I agree with some of the points you made for Puppeteer 2. I love the animation and a concept of the episode. I also liked how Adrien cares about his friendship with Marinette. The thing I don’t like about the episode is how it made me cringe. I could almost barely watch the statue scene because it made me cringe so hard knowing that it wasn’t a statue. It was a good episode it just made me cringe almost the whole time. I respect your opinion.
One thing I will note, Oblivio is important to the plot in that it introduces the concept of multiple people being able to be akumatized into one villian, though the episode should have focused more on the concept and less on the fan service.
no wonder that even that I love the Oblivio episode, this episode and most of the scenes there were perfect for me (and made me ship MariChat a lot more than the other three in the love square) good job in this analysis. it's on point. 😊💕
I love how you talked about the scene in weredad, nobody really brings it up. Marinette was so MAD when she thought chat didn't love ladybug anymore, as soon as she realized she was wrong she was happy again. Like hmmmm, I thought you didn't like him that way? *So why are you mad?*
God i really love all the miraculous content you put out, the cracks are funny and fit my type of humor perfectly, the edits you make are just 😩 and I really liked the in depth explanations of why you like the episode/why it was important to the series as a whole :D I’d love to see more videos like this!
This is my favorite episode in season 2. I just love the natural flow of interactions between Chat and Marinette/Ladybug. It doesn't feel like they are trying too hard like they've done with some episodes. I just really wish the writers would them grow from their experiences because more often than not things just go back to how it always been.
+7.07 This show is so damn creepy and weird sometime, that couldn't even allow Cat Noir the courtesy of caring about his friends well being and seeing her safe, no they have to be a jerk about it and leave him hanging - heck there is even a rather blatant sexual metaphor there too where she rejects his staff. - thus denying his masculinity and diminishing and belittling him. basically what she does in Weredad (and at least in Weredad she has the excuse of not seeing what is going on part of the time). But i'm super twisty about Weredad. It's funny isn't it this show won't allow him a basic level of concern, and yet she's allowed to be a jerk to him constantly as Ladybug with no repercussions to their partnership - as the show is basically saying he's on the hook and she can be as mean as she likes to him. I consider this a bad example to girls of how to treats their guys to be quite honest.
Yes like they put plot and development and authentic-ness of the characters on the side for the aukumatized victims in every episode. (Except for Glaciator).
Ok in my opinion after watching a Oblivio I felt really mad and kind of sad also confused..I liked it but it’s showing all the things that could have happened and they forgot all about it so it doesn’t mean anything it was just a blurry episode ( not to offend Thomas in any way )
Gorizilla is my personal favorite episode, but I think we can all agree that the show peaked in early season 2 (including Glaciator, the Collector, Captain Hardrock, etc)
@@watakashe6072 first it cringe even cringer then puppeteer 2 and worst thing ladybug did and thought of thinking that santa who return him home is akumatzied villain without checking if he is an akumatizied villain and before destroying him
ofc glaciator is the best episode I watched it like 3 times in a row skipping the ice cream part lmao I also like origins and the worst is chat blanc, chat blanc was just horrible except that last scene :> and somewhat puppeteer 2 that was also kinda bad :p
Any episode is a good one if it changes up the formula. Multiple episodes of season 1 feel exactly the same, and then life five eps of season 2 bring in another person and it’s like in a row ???
Hey there! I seen your amazing iconic Videostar editing tutorial! I wanted to know if you have to pay monthly for multi-layer... It cost money but Idk if you pay monthly.... can you help answer my question? 🙂
A personal gripe I have been having with the show lately is it never "properly" explained why the heroes can't know each other's identities after all of this passes. The first big reason is because of Hawkmoth that because he is out there and if he knows who they are, he will take advantage of getting to them. But then it was crammed in Kwamii Buster it is because if they learn their identities, they would have to give up being heroes - kinda late in the game, since this was brought up in Season 3 and not like 1 or 2 if you ask me. And I know part of it is because they are saving it for a bit reveal and show the rule can be bent. But still, a lot of it is implied and not stated. I wish Fu personally taught them both or trained them when they could go to him, and we could have this discussion more. I think it would be emotionally dramatic as they train and get to know each other and even discuss the hopes of not having to hide anything anymore. But still, I like your points for more shows being like Glaciator!
Okay I liked this video but I couldn’t focus on what you were saying because the music (4:48 - this moment) from the movie started playing and I wanted ask you a question. Where from did you take that?
You know what confuses me about glaciator? It's how all the character development in this episode was forgotten about in the next season. Cat Noir finally agreed to stop pursuing Ladybug because she said she was in love with someone else, and Marinette also got some character development as she got more motivation to finally confess her feelings to Adrien. Ladybug and Cat Noir from now on would be good FRIENDS, and Adrien and Marinette would slowly start falling in love. The groundwork was laid. Yet in later seasons we went back to square 1, with Cat Noir still flirting with Ladybug, and Marinette still lacking the confidence to even have a single conversation with Adrien. It took until the middle of Season 5 for things to finally change.
ok mentalbreakdown i heard that in s4 marinette and adrien will be together thats good i love adrienette BUT but adrien is so loyal he wouldn’t say those pick up lines and oml that will be sad
