​@@kristovapalenkova5884 I grew up in Minnesota where we had lots of mosquitoes. At night, maybe in the high season, trucks would spray DDT . My mom would shut all windows in the house to minimize damage. Eventually, they outlawed DDT.

I noticed that whenever I was drinking a lot of alcohol mosquitoes would leave me alone. I believe they were repelled by the smell of alcohol coming out of my skin.

The usual food of the male mosquito is nectar. Females feed on blood according to the video. Watch it again.
