If you’re a Jew as this young man was then what Jesus told him applied to him. We as gentiles must follow the gospel of Paul. We are under a different dispensation than the tribes of Israel are. Jesus told his disciples that he came only to the lost house of Israel and when he sent them out they were not to go to the gentiles but only the Jews. When Saul(Paul) was converted he was given a special commission and gospel of grace given for gentiles that did not apply to the house of Israel. We need to rightly divide the Word of truth.

Jesus was the end of the law for righteousness. We are only righteous through his atoning work and faith in that work. It’s not a license to continue in sin even as Paul articulated but we are not to place a yoke of requirement to follow law for salvation. Be very careful and discerning when it comes to these type of messages. They sound right at the surface but can be misleading if you’re not rightly dividing the Word.

This is the reason the Bible states that we must study to show ourSELVES approved. This by way of rightly dividing the Word of truth. When I say our SELVES approved I simply mean that we find ourselves rightly related to God in Spirit and in truth. This takes the knowledge of God and to be in-line with Him. To walk in the flesh is to use any aspect of my life to try and justify myself before God. This text is about boasting, we are saved when we obey Him. The word believe on Hebrew means commit and obey. We must obey and be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Bcs only Him can transform us and give us power to overcome our flesh that's why no one should boast. Fab Silva I agree with you Fab, this post preaches a “works salvation”. There is “NOTHING” that we can “DO” to be saved. It’s faith in the work that Christ has done alone. And even that faith is not ours but it’s a gift from God. Works are important but not for salvation, they (works) are a fruit or result of one who is following Christ.

So, an alcoholic who receives Jesus, because that IS possible, and HAS happened, still wouldn't be saved because then he isn't sinless because it's a messy process to grow, clean up and live soberly? But if he falls down, and gets up, it doesn't matter because the minute he sinned RIGHT AFTER, and feels horrible and is trying to embrace GRACE and walk in REPENTANCE, which is apart of sanctification, an ONGOING PROCESS, which you're down playing based on your "context", how is Jesus gonna save someone and then condemn him or her in the same lifetime? How many sins then are forgiven if that's the case and at what point is it considered "the past" in a way that determines the past point in which Christ's OBVIOUSLY total atonement stands no longer available throughout their lifetime? You're implying a works based salvation and also saying Jesus's death on the cross wasn't as sufficient as it says in the gospel. Where are you getting this interpretation from? On top of that, if God is all knowing, because He is, how are you going to say that someone who experienced salvation loses salvation like they lost their keys because they sinned, not in alcoholism, but in their errors because we all have fallen short and sinned and WILL still sin because of our flesh, but have the spirit sanctifying us? On top of that, if that was the case, Jesus's death wouldn't be for everyone in the FUTURE which is today like me and you. If Jesus died only for past sins, and NOT current sins or FUTURE sins, then anyone born 1 second after would be damned to hell regardless of being a baby and other things. You can't tell me "oh well it uniquely works in everyone's past sins" but at what point does the present and future become past? Because as far as I'm concerned we were born LONG AFTER Jesus died for everyone. You can't disengage time and then re engage time in a way that contradicts time itself and God's omniscience. This doesn't at all align with the REST of scripture. Esphesians 2:8-9 says nothing about what you're implying. it says nothing about "past sins". It's about all sins. That being said, you will be preaching and implying that a works based salvation is the only way to have it because somehow you have to remain perfect and sinless which means what Jesus did, the life he lived, and God being in the flesh, is somehow no less important and what he did, said, preached, taught, and gave up when comparing your implications of living a sinless life according to this ideology that we're only saved by our past sins and not our future sins, yet Christ died for people in the future... Where's dependance in Christ? Also, Peter receives salvation the minute he placed his faith in Jesus and denied him three times and repented showing that it was current meaning it was not in the past and Jesus also foretold it in his future in that time frame, so therefore Peter would technically by your false logic and by your poor understanding , would be condemned, including all the rest of the disciples at any moment they place doubt within the fact of having the Son of God next to them receiving salvation being a good disciple which they currently were, and should have all been condemned when they abandoned him at the cross. It makes absolutely no sense what you're implying and it makes absolutely no sense the interpretation or "context" you are supporting. you're going to have to make that a line with the rest of scripture if that be the case. Because as far as I'm concerned, every single day was current there is no chance for the future and there is no guarantee of the next day, and passed since then become this idea according to you that is a "one time" thing, yet everyday we live and go, the present turns into the past. This is absolutely crazy. What you are saying is true but it doesn't mean like that. Firstly the word believe in Hebrew means commit and obey. Secondly it's true no one should boast bcs His Spirit is the one enabling us to abandon our flesh and live by the spirit. So it's not our work. But we still has to let go of the flesh if we want to accept His gift of transformations. Let go doesn't mean work. It means surrendering.

The only way to stop yourself from going to hell because of unforgiveness is that you need to ask God for forgiveness for not forgiving river has wronged you and then you need to forgive those who have wronged you.

You are not going to hell, no one is, Gods plan of redemption is for all. The theme runs through the entire bible. Hell is a mentality we live in on earth: outer darkness. We become alienated from the life in God when our hearts are not right before him, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love us, and that he is going to send every one to a torture chamber for the damned for all of eternity. He loves man kind too much to ever do that. There will be justice, but it’s not eternal punishment. It’s a justice of love. Coming into Gods presence of love is enough justice in itself when it reveals to man how they have sinned and hurt not only others, but God as well who loves them so much. When faced with their own sin the torture of their conscience will be punishment in itself. God is not a tyrant, he is the most loving being that exists, if we couldn’t imagine hurting someone for even a moment to the extent Christianity tells us God (who is infinitely more loving than us) is going to do to people, if we couldn’t do that to someone do you honestly think God could do that to someone? On to unforgiveness, it hurts ourself, it is so freeing to forgive, to let go of the hatred and bitterness in our heart. Sometimes it’s hard, but try to view the people who have hurt you as God sees them, as broken people themselves who probably didn’t want to hurt you, but because of their own brokenness people say and do things they regret deep down. I know I do this all the time, I hurt people and push people away, but God has shown me I do this because I have never known true love, and have a deep rooted fear of rejection. All people go through this world and become bitter and angry and lash out at others, it’s part of being human in a fallen world with a fallen nature. Trust me when you forgive it’s so freeing. Just remember that God loves you so much you couldn’t even comprehend it, understanding Gods unfailing love helped me to forgive others. Talk to God pour out your heart to him, and tell him your deepest fears and emotions, he is always listening and will answer and help you to get over them. He may not always answer you in the way you think, but everything that happens does so for a reason, and it’s understanding that reason which helps us to draw closer to him and live in the love he intended for us. I agree with everything that you said but I want to make a minor correction when you stated "Take time out of your day to read the Bible, take time out of your day to pray". God needs to be priority #1 in our lives. Trying to squeeze God in our schedule is the same as giving Him 2nd place in our lives. When we wake up in the morning God should be the first one we talk to after we wake up and the last one we talk to before we go to bed, He should be the first one we go to for help and guidance with every situation in our lives, and we should be willing to lay down our careers, families, desires, and dreams to pursue Him and His will. When the time of testing comes, many Christians are going to have to choose between serving God and risk losing their freedom, worldly possessions, and lives or serving the devil to keep their careers, families, homes, dreams, and all else they hold dear in this life. It's in then when it will be plain to see who all belongs to God and who doesn't.

Jesus says you can do nothing without me John 15:5. If a person has a relationship with God. Praise repents and reads the word of God. This is having a relationship with God. A person only through the help of Jesus Christ can come to a point where they can almost not send an anyting. If a person doesn't send an actions they can send and thought. But when you have this awareness and hold onto God in every situation and repent then I believe that Jesus will allow you through him to go to heaven.

It's an informative video. The thing is it gets very slippery at the end. Humans hate to take blame they think they're blameless. For example when you talk about not repenting it gets very foggy. For example if you had one in pure thought or a bad thought or an anger thought that is a sin. If a person asked you what were you doing and you said nothing when actually you want a toilet bowl but you didn't want to tell him that that is a lie which is a sin. I struggled with lust. Then a brother told me to pray for the way out. Jesus is faithful and lifted me out of that moment of lustful temptation. If we have faith (which comes by hearing, which comes by the word of God) we receive living waters, and just like a tree we grow from the inside out (within grace) producing fruits naturally. Does a tree produce fruits by working or does it simply grow given the right conditions? Do we receive the fruits of the spirit through faith or by works? Do we present our fruits as sacrifice to God as Cain did, or do we simply hold up the Lamb of God and say I'm not worthy? Does the heroin addict that gets saved get saved because he stops using heroin because it's sinful, or does the joy and love brought by faith in being saved give him the strength to overcome it? The Spirit works in us, changes us, and we believe. For if we break one law, we've broken the whole law, and if by works it's no longer by grace. That being said, should we sin so more grace abounds? No. Should we resist the devil, yes. But be careful not to rest in your own righteousness and thinking that law keeping will justify you. Have you seen the love of a woman ever transform a man to desire new things? How much more then the love of God?
