My ancestors' cousins are everywhere, that is just Admiral Edward (Old Grog) Vernon, George Washington named Mount Vernon, and several places after him. This place is just named after Mount Vernon New York and places. I am glad my Anglo-Norman heritage is spread through relatives, all Vernons descend from the Count of Vernon in Normandy France.
