Pretty bad place to live as a single guy in your 20s. Ubers to Denver are expensive, have to commute for all social activities, people are not likely to want to visit you that far out. It's mostly families that live there.
Didn't mind being that far away from the mountains because it was a great view. Living by Highline canal gave me a great view of July fourth for many front range shows. I wouldn't want to live in the Colfax area for ANY part of the metro area, or for that matter north Havana. I'm planning on coming back in the next year. But I was born in New York City and lived in the south Bronx and Harlem. NONE of these places are anything to me compared to them. Denver may be called the mile high city, but its original name was Queen city of the Plains! The battle of I-25 east vs west still goes on? Even the weather is different from across I-25. I haven't decided on where in the metro I'll land yet, but I'm leaning on coming back to Aurora.
Thank you for watching! I lived in the Bronx for a few years myself so I think the same way - there really isn’t anything in Denver that I find intimidating compared to NY. I think Aurora has a lot going for it!
