*"Slow growth is the best growth."* It's definitely better than having no growth. Fast growth of a channel *could* also get you a lot of hate before you learn how to handle it.
This feels like when u were given a free legendary item in a game and starts to feel bored in a couple of hours because u don't feel any need to grind any of the mobs because u already have the best item
or being too overpowered at the start of the game 😭 like in elden ring i’m playing new game plus and i have all of my stuff and stats from the first play through.. most bosses are pretty easy to defeat cause i’m so powerful.. takes away the challenge sometimes

Fr im a growing creator and I don't really into shoutouts as it's mostly just creating constant viewers instead of building a community. It's like creating an instant bump in your viewers statistic just to have them leave next without way to have them back in short time is the worst thing for your channel growth. Doesn't mean it's not good or I'm against it. You just have to be so calculated about it so you won't fall deep after hiking fast high.
I don't understand why people discuss rich people. If you don't have children, it makes more sense to become successful yourself first and then have children. This way, you don't have to dream anymore and everyone else shouldn't waste time and should start becoming successful rather than just seeing others as successful.
I can confirm this, one time i had a channel with 4k subscribers, but the only reason i had this is because of one video that went viral. But all this didn't matter because i got locked out of the account anyways.

It's coz the poor man's instant subscriptions were artificial. People wanted to see what Jimmy's brother is like, and once they saw that both were doing some of the same challenges, that artificial growth quickly shrinked down.
Mr bro was basically forced because he had all of Jimmy's followers and if he made different videos no one would watch them and he wouldn't be on the algorithm
Alternatively he could use that boost, do his own thing, see how many people like it and stick around while he collects new subscribers over time. A shout-out doesn’t make you pander to a certain audience
A shout out definitely helps a lot.. It’s a huge advantage. How about all the America’s got talent contestants who didn’t even win and managed to become popular from the show enough to have their own shows in Vegas anyways? They had no audience. They appeared in front of millions for an episode or two and got big. What about all the breakout stars who went from nothing to everything from a single viral video and managed to keep an audience? Many great creators never get discovered or get enough attention. Some of my favorite RU-vidrs only have half a million subs when I’m sure they’d have more if the algorithm was kinder. He just wasted his shot. If by slow growth you mean to say “more experienced creators who’ve worked their way up and learned the in’s and out’s of a RU-vid video are more likely to succeed,” then I agree with that. But if you make good media that people enjoy, it’s really as simple as that
CJ actually has a youtube channel were he uploaded on 1 month ago and its a gaming channel so if you go to CJ's community page you will find the Channel.
Couldn't disagree with this more. The reason why he didn't succeed is because he didn't want to be a content creator. It has nothing to do with the content he was creating. He doesn't have the passion, you could tell just by looking at him in the videos he did make.
Definitely feel like he could get far as a vlogger showing into his life and jimmys without getting to into detail while throwing some pranks or other videos in there too
Slow growth is the best growth. That’s a beautiful way to put it. I tried making RU-vids videos the way everyone is ways instead of just being me. I’ve stopped but plan on coming back. Slowly growing my photography on Instagram. It’s taking a while but I’ve less focused on numbers and just share my work.
I think while yes slow growth is better to initially start with, I think having both is still the best option, because most of the platform is forced to do the slow growth, making it harder to seperate yourself from the pack, unless you get something like a shoutout.

Slow growth is the best growth. A good example of this was Technoblade. He learned how to be a great youtuber and that’s what made his skywars commentaries great, he was a good speaker. Rest In Peace

I don't think he was FORCED into making the same type of content, I just think he assumed that because he's Jimmy's brother and was getting a huge investment from him that he would be able to make a money printing machine by creating low-effort Beast style content with none of the passion, heart, or originality. In REALITY, if he would have just made a new channel with original content instead of copying his brother's content down to the style and voice, then the shoutout could have very well been a lucrative situation to boost him to recognition. The truth is no one wants to watch MrBeast style content unless it's MrBeast because he's the only one who puts 110% into all his videos.

Same thing happened to Van Neistat. Love his stuff, but I think the initial Casey bump hurt his algorithm when all these subscribers stopped watching regularly.
