Love all the love and hype for Nairobi but I wish I could relocate to L.A or New York soonest. Being stuck in a single city right from birth is kinda boring.

Both cities are extremely expensive to live in and have thousands of homeless people living on the streets. Also New York is currently going through a massive crime spree

Naivas is the largest retail store chain in Kenya, followed by Quickmart. Chandarana Foodplus is expensive but has some unique brands that one may not typically find in the other retail chains.

I like Kenya as a possible retirement location. Unfortunately they require 2k US per month minimum. This alone outpaces the average SSI. Hopefully they are more forgiving in 20 years when my time comes.

@@valentinekarimi136 I agree totally. I live a frugal life as well. However, I cannot dictate the mandates the Kenyan government places on foreigners. It's a country I plan to visit but sadly cannot retire in.

I know and have lived in both countries for over 20yrs. Nairobi can only compete with New York city. Unless you don't know NAIROBI well. Even weather,food,hospitality and clubbing alone beats most cities globally.... watch some of dave mani's videos of nairobi and mombasa. Very inexpensive as well in comparison with LA or NYC.

Watu wengine ati nimekuwa LA it’s better.But have you lived in LA?Im from Nai currently in US and if I was told to choose btwn the two cities I’d choose Nairobi hands down.L.A. is 20 times more expensive to live in.Everyone moving to TX.owning a hse is a mountain smh.But Nairobi you have all the comforts of home and quiet affordable to retire from US.

No, Ruby is much better than Los Angeles, now he’s in the lower class neighborhood, and I guess that’s what he chooses to live while he’s in Nairobi, most people live in the middle-class areas where it’s much more to do and much more to see, And you can go into the upper class and the prices will be pretty high, but still cheaper than Los Angeles
