Potentially 92 overall, but as of now I will give him an 85-87 After watching his film from last year he is a really good pick up and an overall upgrade over DJJ

He is so much better than DJJ. Literally the only thing DJJ has on him is hops. Naji can handle it well, better shooter, equal defense, can actually dribble, and has better vision. This is clearly an upgrade. Everything I said above applies to Grimes over Green as well. We got better comparing all the acquisitions with departures obviously. In Nico we trust for real. Next if we can't find a trade for Maxi and Powell just cut them... I don't know how much space that would open up but if we could sign two legit players it's a no brainer.

Agree I think ddj is more versatile defender as he can block threes but Naji is tougher defender because of his size and he also have a better laterals I guess since he can still stick to the ball regardless of their position. That's why I'm pretty sure the new mavericks team have a chance to play run and gun offense even better now as they got more consistent players like Klay and naji.

Agreed, I was one of those people who were like "PLEASE bring back DJJ" BUT after watching Naji's highlights from last year I can see why they made the move. Overall, Naji is an upgrade over DJJ In Nico We Trust!

@@riccardo_7973 Naji is definitely more physical and stronger as a defender. I am not saying DJJ is a bad defender they are BOTH GOOD defenders just a little different. I think Naji's ball handling and his offense is what makes him a better pickup and a more consistent player

100% agree, bro is clearly an upgrade. I went back and watched the finals games and DJJ was passing up 3s. Can’t do that and Marshall is a better 3pt shooter. He will be better on the Mavs too Luka and Kyrie make players better

I was impressed by his offensive and defensive abilities, but his passing surprised me. He’s got the ability to spread the ball around and make some insane passes.

The 2nd unit needs to step up to match up against Boston, 3pt shot and overall defense specially. Good additions so far. If they can get rid of Powell and Morris it will help. Spurs 3 recent cuts are better than both of them so let’s see

Naji will be a pretty clear upgrade for DJJ IMO. Better all around offensive game, defensively Naji has size DJJ lacked to matchup on ball across whole line ups.

The way I see it, he will be backing up Klay at the 3, AND playing SF when Klay moves to SG for stretches while Luka or Kyrie rest. So he could get 25-30 minutes a game even when everyone is healthy. Add that to Grimes’ time and you have significant bench contributions.

Marshall and Grimes will help us defend those Celtics sharp shooters since THJ and Green couldn't do it. Luka and Kyrie might be getting some rest if Luka not playing defense or falling into the "Celtic slump "...Kyrie🤨 .... Klay is for offense help since PJ and DDJ couldn't make a dam shot. LOVE THE TRADES ... Last thing a point guard is the last thing we need. We need a big 4 an extra rebounder if Lively or Gafford get hurt. I hope Omax can step up, but he didn't look too good on the floor. Only thing I HATE is Kidd is going to put Kleber in rotation and Powell is still with us 😂 . Harden and Exum will spend a lot of time on the bench they are 3rd string now behind Grimes and Marshall. They didn't step up in the finals, so Nico did a good job. These trades were 100% based on what Boston did to us.

I think Naji is the perfect player to replace DJ. I think he is a much better shooter, solid on D. But what he brings to the team that Mavs doesnt have even though a little in PJ & Gafford is that DOG attitude toughness. Our Mahorn, Lambier, Draymond, enforcer type player that every championship team usually has. Love his game and his fit on this team.

I agree stats of 9/4/1. Points, Rebounds and assist and a steal per game. Overall, player rating for his game and fit 94. I think he will have his best career best year. Perfect fit Go#13. Welcome to the Mavs.

I thought Green and Jones were worth keeping. Grimes and Marshall are not better than them. It feels like a push at best. I think they lost some chemistry in order to offload the THJ contract and to add Klay. I haven't watched Grimes and Marshall. But Green and Jones were both athletic and ran the floor and were useful in pushing the pace. I hope our offense doesn't stagnate and sink back into that slow Luka ball. I'll add that the Mavs need to stop using undersized players at the 4. Jones never should have had that role.
