As a Namibian Civil Engineer, I have high hopes for the Oil discoveries of the past few years. I even plan on getting a Masters Degree in anything involving the Petroleum Feild to ensure I directly gain from being involved in the industry, economically. I just hope our government ensures we follow the path that countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE have taken, and not like that of countries like Nigeria. Either way, our GDP is set to get a major boost over the coming decade, which hopefully will result in the the improvement of the standards of living for the everyday citizens, including myself.
I hope it works out for you sounds like a very good plan...here in Australia the government is doing its best job to kill the oil and gas industry..oil and gas is a dirty word over here. I wish you all the success in your future endeavours as oil and gas will be needed for many many more years to come.
