@@Kacpa2 Spot on. I thought I was the only one that thought UG2 was a tedious snooze fest. Plus the cars feel so much slower than in UG1. And URL races can go f**k themselves. People only rate UG2 because of the tuning. Of a the black box games, UG2 is actually my worst one.....after Undercover
I used to play on that drag track all the time, using Focus, MX-5, Celica and S2000 and changing lane quickly by the end of the track you'd always end up launched on air. Im glad UG1 drag racing is getting the recognition it deserves. Crazy stunts aside, it was done superbly, especially because of the sense of speed.
Sometimes I think I am the only one who respects and still enjoys NFS Underground, because no one amongst the ones I talk to seems to understand the true value of this game and how much it is important to the gaming ndustry overall... Truly a special game, deserves a remaster that's for sure
This is exactly why I wanted to make this video for a long time. Underground 2 and Most Wanted get all the praise, but it was the original Underground which paved the way and in my opinion, was better in some aspects than its successors.

@@xristaka8199 my personal opinion is that Most Wanted is overrated, with Undergrounds being underrated NFS Carbon is a whole different story: it is one of the most rushed games in history, and the fact that it is underrated too is one of the least problems it has... Truly a sad story.

On this map, if you race the other way, at the end there is a ramp, if you change lane, like half a second before running up on the ramp, only two wheel will go up, and you make a side flip into the finish line, which is utmost FUN
This is so true lol, this drag race is the best UG2 also has a drag race that's interesting The very first drag race you do, if you go in free play, set the AI to hardest difficulty and the traffic to max and enjoy the show 🤣
nearly 350km/h from a fucking s2000, and could get even more with a longer gear ratio, i think that just by that fact you can confirm that it's actually fun
the drag races get too much hate by people who couldn't figure out its systems. While sometimes the traffic is bullshit, particularly when they change lanes at intentionally bad times, the hit of adrenaline you get from putting a perfect run together, weaving through traffic for 1 mile hitting >200mph, it's not been matched by games other than the direct sequel. Even MW which kept the format has really scuffed layouts that bug out the lane switching.

I remember one drag, where my the 34 skyline was too fast, and it barely makes a small shift to the left lane and always crashes, and there's nothing you can do except slow down before getting to the lane shift.

hey, i installed the game yesterday and for some reason it feels blurry. im playing on 1366x768 with widescreen fix, but it somehow feels like im playing on 480p is this normal? 🤔
Too many people complain about realism these days, like they want games to be more realistic, like it's totally a let down, I want games to be like Underground or Hot Pursuit (the old ones) etc.
