My local transit system had their Orion V buses from 1994 and 1997 up to 2017 well over 20 years of service most had anywhere 700 to 900 thousand some had over 1 million miles on them they are very good at maintaining their buses they had and still have strict guidelines on how and when the buses get a tune up and complete inspection most where still great running buses because of proper maintenance and care some of the Orion buses are now being use as late night shuttle buses for the university just a shame these buses where treated like trash you would think nice bus system would at lest make sure they are sending out good buses everyday I feal bad for those bus rides.
Those buses were great when they were first around then they started falling apart. Plus the AC being on was what was causing it to staal out. Just open up all the windows and that's it!! Simple solution to a "complicated" problem
New buses aren't need, what nassau county needs is a new county executive who actually has a brain and has actual control over everything In his power. The maintenance department and operator department at NICE is obviously beyond deficient. Create new jobs by hiring component people, who actually know what they are doing
