There are so many stages in manufacturing that need to be full filled before selling the car. 1)First is the concept of vehicle 2)To meet all requirements - safety, structure,emissions, component standards. 3) cost of manufacturing, labor, supplies, and much more 4) marketing, aftersales, dealers, service centers. It's too much to handle. It takes time, money, and patience to do it.

Best way to get into automobile industry is by starting with two wheelers , once profitable broaden the buisness to incorporate 4 wheelers , eg : ola electric.

One option for startups will be to partner with already established OEMS offering them some stake in your company . If the OEMs r impressed by your idea of the car that you desire to launch then either they may buy the IP rights of the product or assist with contract manufacturing and offering there retail service . Just a thought

Yaar ye itni R&D kis chis pe karte, engine outsourced hota hai, transmission outsourced hota hai, painting and fabrication is very well known by now and can be done relatively cheap.
