It’s May 10, 1895 and the 300 foot steamer Cayuga is sailing in fog. The crew is oblivious that soon David would sink Goliath. The Cayuga was one of 5 identical ships built in the late 1880’s as a crack express freight carrier. The ships were owned by the Lehigh Valley Transit Company.

There's a shipwreck from the 1800s in Lake Michigan off of the Wisconsin coast that I'd like to see you do a video on. I apologize because I don't have much for you to go on. I read about it a long time ago. It's in deep water and it was hauling corn (Ipm pretty sure.). They sent divers down to it when they found it and the corn is still fresh. I think they found some of the crew, too.

@@HahnJames I'll see what I can do. Do you know the name of the vessel or maybe the date it sunk?

They had years to set them up and nobody thought of a way to fill more than one at a time?

A good idea with lousy execution. I always tell my judo students that excellent execution of a technique is critical to a positive outcome. The same principle works for a lot of other things, too. Did you know that on May 1st upon receiving the news of the passing of Gordon Lightfoot, they rang the bell at the Mariner's Church (Sailor's Maritime Cathedral per Lightfoot's song) in Detroit, 30 times? In essence, they included him with the crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I thought that was a great tribute.

@@ConnorTenold This was an interesting video and I'm sure source visuals were hard to find. Nothing lousy about it. Just consider the source of that negative comment and dismiss it as worthless.

@@ConnorTenold It had a great chance of working if they had put some more effort in figuring out ow to fill those pontoons with air simultaneously. The lifting pressure would have been distributed evenly, then.
