SO well said and love how it wasn't a long ass education with the same hamster wheel advice: single roll out; official music video that nobody sees, lyric video, live, etc. I wonder how AI has also hurt independent artists like myself? I been. running stagnant for 4 years. What is the grind to keep doing exactly?

Appreciate this video a lot, it's given me a lot of insight in my approach to the start in my marketing journey. I've got a question for you though: Do you think authenticity is a factor that creates a uniqueness to someone's music? When I say authenticity, I refer to artists that worked very hard in developing their skills in order to progress their musicality. I think of huge artists like Micheal Jackson or Kanye who were know for meticulously working on their projects, in which history shows how that translated into their success. So with the industry today and how overly saturated it is, would you say the level of authenticity (or amount of work put in) is a critical factor in separating oneself from the crowd?

Definitely wasn’t the case back in the day, well said, I had to go to record shops like HMV to listen to vinyls when I Remember, I had anticipation for a new release, you just don’t get that value anymore. Unfortunately the internet is both a blessing and a curse.

I think a good way to go is release a song every couple of months & then turn to your friends & family to pass onto everyone. It's a starting point. That's my plan anyway. I released my first song last month. Next will be in a week or so. My aim is to get more views each time I release a track than on the last one!

If you watch some of big artist songs live most of audience sing only part they always hear it because apps like tiktok they choose most catchy part to post and people keep heard it and memorize it and rest of song they don’t even know a word lol. You can use those for gain views and be famous but your music nah people didn’t even attention what you say
