Have a head teacher in each class with a high wage, and give him/her a few assistants for an entry level wage to train new teachers. It works for corporate America.
This is a stupid concept, within the context of America. Teachers ****ARE**** already paid 100k in my country of Singapore. Our teachers are elite workers charged with a holy duty. They are high scoring university graduates, paid on performance, with no union protections, and subject to dismissal for misconduct. There is a reason why Singapore is the top scorer across every single subject assessed by PISA, OECD's educational survey.
Reverse causality. The reason they are paid so well isn't because teaching makes you inherently smarter or more capable on a general sense. It is because if you pay a premium wage for a skill, naturally people will try to acquire that skill.
everybody brags and lies about the teachers in their country here, weird. your country pays the same as other countries to teachers, they are at 40-60k per year
@@timber2lease Google this. "/careers/become-teachers/mk/trained/mk-teacher" You are quoting the starting salary. Are you thinking that teachers never ever get an increment? And the other thing is, wtf? Singapore (K-12) and Germany (vocational) are world famous. That you are unaware of our greatness is damning of you. We are not a normal country
teachers, if it weren't for teachers we would not have all the professions we have in our country and they should be paid 100,00 a year. there are so many teachers who bring children school supplies because their parents or parents can't afford them plus they deal with a lot in the classrooms. just like a lot of people in this country the pay is just not enough to live on and I really hope Kamala addresses that on day one.

Why pay teachers $100,000? Sure, it sounds good-but maybe we should first focus on teaching kids the basics of advanced logic, reasoning, and precise language use. Imagine if we actually drilled into their heads the importance of debate and proper argumentation. It might cut down on the hordes of overconfident jabronies running around with half-baked opinions. But here's the thing: paying teachers more could actually help attract the kind of educators who can teach these critical skills. So, maybe we should do both-because right now, society could use all the help it can get.
Many teachers in NYC etc are already paid 100k+ obviously indeed-wow with student rosters declining starting in the next year or two we can have smaller classes, higher salaries or both BUT we can hope for a return to replacement level total fertility of ~2.1 along with teacher salaries outpacing inflation for many years to come
Wow I definitely want year round schools for parents who desire it but whoa takes away such opportunity for student long distance travel etc yeah a difficult balance
Look at the severe opposition to student loan forgiveness. That same opposition would flare up for this idea. I would encourage a person to choose the profession that pays you most. That's the system we live in.
