@@akhilsai2371 Before neet pg I practised in a CHC for 2 years where I learnt to manage mi...cvi.... stroke....before referring to right specialist..... There I learnt that....what md medicine treats can be treated by senior experienced mbbs doctors....or ayush .... So in neet pg.... I won't take md medicine....bcoz I don't want to study for neet ss again and after md .....i don't want to treat fever.... weakness.... diabetes again.... So wanted to take surgery.....like ms ortho or ms ophthal.... I am highly fascinated to see skilled cataract surgeon doing 15 ots.....with good number of OPD loads and zero emergency..... So I took up ophthal.... So after 3 yrs of ms with 1 yr fellowship I would be a cat or occuloplastic surgeon doing OTs in morning and doing general practice in evening..... This formula works well in rural and tier 2/3 cities....
@@doc410 MD medicine is a glorified mbbs degree which every one can practice like mbbs ayush bams But ophthal is a superspecialised technical surgical branch which only skilled ophthalmologist can practice See ophthal is a branch with least quackery.....a basic examination of eye begins with slit lamp....which takes 5 months to learn in residency..... A skilled ophthalmologist can do 15-20 ots per day.....nd takes around 10 min per cases We don't have to call anaesthesia to sedate our patients we give our own blocks We don't require radiologist we do our own A scan B scan.... An ophthalmologist can do general practice also just like md medicine.....but md medicine can't see/examine an ophthal case.....
