October is nice for me. It's a spooky month with Halloween coming up, it's finally getting colder and all art events are almost finished, which means I can spend time on personal art for a bit. Love the video nevertheless, though!
I can relate to this video. I remember many years ago when we bought our first home we had a similar time of year where everything came to a head with finances. Quickly learned to schedule monthly payments for all large bills like property tax, home insurance, car insurance, etc.. so you don't take the hit all at once.
October is my favorite month both wonderful spooky season and busy AF. I have so many markets, art walks, gallery showings, ect. My day job hates it because I take most of this month off to do all the art stuff instead. It's just art busy for me. My local scene dies out after October and what few Chrimas venues are doing anything want such a large booth fee isn't worth my time. So I instead fall back onto the dayjob for the rest of the year and instead work on building up my art, learning/flexing my skills further, and just keep on trucking.
hah! As i was watching, a random "hey those glasses are red and kinda roundish, Rafi's glasses are usually black and rectangular..." thought wandered through my brain but i figured i just hadn't noticed the red ones before :-D (I'm terrrrrrible at noticing things. I'm like the Anti Sherlock Holmes re: observations) They look good! And I hope the rest of your October is a little less AAAAAAAAAAA inducing!
I hate February. Next year because I can afford it, I'm going to hibernate. My rationale is that boredom is the mother of creativity, so come March I'll be bursting to paint.
A lot of my yearly go out in December, a few days before Christmas, why did past me do that? I still don’t understand the best way to connect; so I just follow the next thing. I may have actually got the press release written; **** it good enough is becoming a mantra . Usually I don’t suffer perfectionism in my art but being in a real newspaper, the fear kicked in. Anyway, do you plan a marketing promo, way to connect to people and put art out there for the entire year or just the next thing that seems fun? How’d the creative space project come about, seems awesome!
