Why Oscar nominee Paul Raci initially turned down ‘Sound of Metal’ 

Paul and Riz’s performances in this movie were world class.

Finally watched the film last night. It is unique and touching, and Mr. Raci gave a powerful performance (as did his co-stars).

Fun fact Raci’s original family name was Racibryzinski (13 letters) parents shortened it to Raci because it was too long to sign.

Very heartfelt film, I hope it wins some oscars💜

Watching him in The Sound of Metal and obviously he's fluent in sign (which often doesn't happen in movies) so had to look him up. 🤔
