This definitely makes more sense for someone who is already making money and overly attached to their savings account , but definitely investing in earning potential, food and your health makes sense. This doesn't always need to be extra that you pay, organic foods/plant based foods are getting more and more affordable, there are many free resources online to learn skills, even with health, just drinking more water, sleeping more and improving my posture helped a lot. But definitely balance is key in all things!
Definitely agree with you which is why I included at the end this shouldn’t be done until one has an emergency fund. Yeah there are many ways to enrich oneself without spending. Balance is key, knowing when to spend versus being wasteful or over zealous with spending is so important. Thank you for your input ❤️

The laptop analogy 🤭. Are you in my thoughts ? Is this God telling me to get that laptop ? 😅. But for real, this topic is so true. The attachment to saving comes from scarcity under the guise of being responsible and prepared for emergency.
Love this. I personally hate seeing money just sat in my bank account. I send my money out there to go work for me & give me 10 fold returns. Saving honestly is pointless. Investing, whether that be financially, physically or emotionally (spiritually too) is my preferred path as they always give returns.

I am moving to a big city in a week and had such a hard time making the move due to not wanting to “waste” my savings from the past year of hard work- had to definitely remind myself that I’m not wasting anything- I am investing in myself, my happiness, and my future career 🙏 I will be taking this mindset with me into the next year 💜

If you’re saving with a goal in mind I’d argue that’s preparing to invest. You moving out is an investment in your self and future so makes sense to put money away 😊
