The Canyons are my home mountain. As an intermediate rider, I almost always start on the top of the Orange Bubble lift, which you can ride left to the Red Pine Lodge/Saddleback lift area. Then branch out from there. Alternatively, Start from the top or middle of the Orange bubble, then head right to Sunpeak lift or Super Condor lifts which have blues/blacks only.

The place is so crowded!! The picture @ 2.07 is both bases, every morning. You're almost better off getting a leisurely start, rather than rushing out, only to wait in line for 45 minutes. Keep your head on a swivel.
The canyons side of the resort is by far my favourite side. It always feels a little more quiet however on busy days trying to get up from the base can be a nightmare.
