Why Paulina Porizkova Still Loves Ric Ocasek and Thinks the Will Was a Mistake 

Love her, she takes responsibility in other interviews for not being wise financially by allowing her money to be controlled by others. She now teaches women to be aware financially so this does not happen to them. She is clearly not destitute either and is modeling again in her 50's. She will always be beautiful in my eyes.

I lived in New Braintree, MA many years ago and my farm bordered the infamous recording studio Longview Farm. One particular day back in the 80's, I noticed a tall man with scraggly hair walking in one of my fields... I went outside and wandered over to greet the man and he explained that he was recording over at the studio. At that very moment, I suddenly realized that the person in front of me was Ric Ocasek! He explained that he had gotten lost while taking a walk and asked for directions back. Seizing on the moment, I offered to drive him back to the studio. He accepted and I was more than happy to give him a ride. A few days later, I received 2 tickets to one of their concerts and 2 backstage passes with a note that read simply; "A small gesture in return for your kind gesture. RO" I will never forget the man and that moment in time! RIP RO...

It sucks feeling betrayed by someone you trusted. I hope Paulina can heal from this.

Ric Ocasek stated in the will she abandoned him. She was out yahoo-ing with another man as he was ailing at home. So he was ticked off and probably said I'll show you.

I used to have a crush on Paulina when she was modelling. was floored when I heard she married Ric Ocasek. So much older etc. She is still a drop-dead gorgeous woman. It absolutely terrible how it tuned out. Whether it was Rick or his lawyers, it is terribly unfair to her. I hope it turns out well for her.

When they 1st became a couple, I was a teenager, I was always a little confused as to how he landed such a beautiful, beautiful woman....and I'm still confused as to how it ended...😕

I've never been married and I truly understand how everyone goes into it hoping it will be forever. The more stories I see like this, the more I think sharing my heart with someone, esp. in marriage may not be the best thing, unless I get a pre-nup and do it that way.

She gave him two sons and they were married for thirty-five years. I am appalled by what he did to her. It would be okay if he wanted the divorce but not her. If he couldn't own her, he would embarrass her and leave her with as little as possible. I wonder if he ever loved her. I doubt it. Or he would not have been so cruel.

I think her choice regarding how the change in the will happened is quite reasonable. It's very, very sad. I know what it feels like to be cut out by someone you loved, and it becomes the "period" on the end of the sentence of a whole lifetime's relationship. It is very hard. And it's normal that people often don't have control at the end of their lives. I think she's very brave. I wish she would make her own cosmetics line or some other enterprise that is unique and distinctive to her. She is great.

I always thought she was cool. Now I also think she is gracious, intelligent and WAY cool.

I have become interested in Paulina's story because I have recently re discovered The Cars. Ric Ocasek was always a strange, mysterious guy. He is the one who broke up the band and unfortunately subsequently Benjamin Orr who was a Co-Founder of The Cars was betrayed by him and never got over that after the demise of the group. But now it makes perfect sense, that's who Ric was. A person who would betray his closest friends and loved ones. How could he cut Paulina out of his will after 26 years of marriage and 2 children ! You can't even understand that.

I like this hair color on her. Hope this all works out very soon. She is unique and beautiful and and I think she'd do so well if she went back to school and used her smarts and amazing creativity to move onto the next thrilling chapter of her life.

Maybe it was a mistake, maybe not. I had something similar happen to me and it was due to outside influences whispering in his ear. Very hurtful when you've spent most of your life with someone and had their children.

You can tell that she really loved him. Even after he betrayed her at the last moment, she still defends him.

Years ago, I went through an acrimonious divorce. It was the worst experience of my life. She was screwed and tattooed, no doubt. But for me, the death of my ex at that time wouldn't have been the worse thing - I'm just kidding! Ms.Porizkova has my total sympathy. That said, unlike her, I didn't have the proceeds from the sale of a 10 million dollar townhome to help me get through the financial straits and future uncertainty. Unless she had no major debt, all she need do is learn to downsize her lifestyle, and she'll be fine. I'd wager she's still in demand in the entertainment /fashion/ modeling/ luxury goods industry, and it's undoubtedly just a matter of time till she meets a new Mr. Right...

It sounds like she was married to a narcissist. When she asked him for a divorce it took away his control over her, so taking her out of the will was his way of punishing her. She was also, obviously way better looking than him. He knew this and felt intimidated by her beauty and independent success and was jealous. Some men can’t handle that kind of competition. They can’t deal with the attention, because they want it all for themselves, so he wanted to discredit her publicly . He was determined to be on top of her and everything else. He probably manipulated her into handing over her income. More control. She got played by her husband and it sounds like he was doing this from go for years. He saw how vulnerable she was and didn’t believe in herself and needed attention and love and he probably love bombed her in the beginning to gain her trust, then control of her. That’s why he lost interest in the end, because she grew wise and tired of his games and in turn he discarded her . He needed a new source for his narcissistic supply because she wasn’t taking it anymore. So he made sure he punished her even from beyond the grave. Narcissist can’t stand to loose.

My god, this woman never stops talking about this. I guess she's making money off of her interviews. She got 1/2 the value of their $10 million condo. She thought they could be friends, live with him and date Mr. Solomon which generated some very public photos that must have hurt. Why were they divorcing after 35 years? It's so ugly to publicize this further. She's got sons to think about. There is something she's not telling us. Why did she borrow money from friends? Why not her adult sons? She clarifying her situation after months of viewers clarifying her position for her since she was being deceitful. Ask her about her boyfriend(s) which is OK if you are divorcing but you're living with him and dating???
