You're amazing and I'd love to be able to educate people about animals like you, but I don't have the right gcse grades so I can't do the right courses for college or further education, could you do a video on tips for people who want to become an animal educator full time? Like both indipendantly as well as with other people or with a zoo, I love your videos and I think it could help a lot of people like me ❤️
Most celebrities who irresponsibly care for their animals could probably afford a whole team of people to look after the animal. They could give the animal its own house. And yet they cram it into a cardboard box and barely google it’s diet. Makes no sense.
And there's those of us with more modest incomes that carefully set money aside for the best foods, enrichment toys, enclosures, vet bills etc. The world is twisted.
saddly, as much as i agree with you to a certain extent, truth is, it's not really about money....becuse many middle class just like poor people, have this same issue with their pets. It's people who doesn't really see a pet as a living creature with an especific background and needs (like a child sort of speak) or just doesn't understand this fact.... so they just go "yeah, lets get -insert animal name here-, i love them, they look cute, bla bla" and so they do, and it's not like they try to harm the animal on purpose; they just don't understand its needs (like for example many people don't take their dogs to a vet or vaccinate them, and we are talking about dogs, who are a fairly common pet, imagine more exotic ones like tarantulas or bearded dragons), so they don't know when they are doing something wrong or if there is something wrong at all with the animal (unless it gets extremely sick, and sometimes even that's not enough). To put it simply, people like you or me, who actually understand this fact, and do the proper research even for the simplest of things in the most common pets are the minority.
That's the most annoying thing! When there's people that literally spend all their money on enrichment and care for their animals and then these celebrities just use them for clout
It’s just the sheer fact that she has literally every resource available to her in order to help that dragon thrive. This is just neglect and abuse on her part. And sadly, chances are she won’t change a thing.
exactly, she could have hired a professional to set up the enclosure and tell her what the diet was and then pay to have someone buy it for her but chooses to keep the poor creature in a terrible place
Unfortunately it’s not surprising that Speed isn’t being well cared for, considering Kim has had dozens of pets that have either been rehomed or found “unresponsive” and passed shortly after. At one point Kim made a now-deleted post talking about her old pets and said she could “remember almost all of them”, which is very... telling.
Like wtf. How is it so hard to research? Its not complicated at all. Just type into google or youtube. I hate people who get pets and just do whatever.
I don’t understand because she’s SO rich. Couldn’t she have an exotic reptile expert make her a big, beautiful enclosure? Not only would it look stunning in her home, it would be great for the reptile and promotes enrichment and proper care.
Yeah and if she cared so much about just beautiful photos on social media then well...wouldn't that be more beautiful then of the dragon being in stress...poor baby
This isn't surprising. The Kardashians are known for having so many different kinds of pets that eventually just "disappear" on the show or social media. That being said, I speculate that Kim didn't respond back to any of the criticism about her dragon because the point of the post wasn't to show how cute the dragon was, but to promote her shapeware line. Again, viewing animals as objects that can be disposed or replaced, in this case as props for a photo.
@@shilohgoodenough7775 that’s different, though. i think cropping and docking era and tails are weird, but it’s still different than mistreating and neglecting an animal. getting their ears cropped as well as tail docking is a surgery performed by veterinarians, and the dog could have come from a breeder where it was done at a very young age. not saying i’m defending her at all, it’s just not the same
If anyone ever actually thinks, or says “If it’s good enough for Kim Kardashian’s kid, then it’s good enough for mine” I’m not sure I think they should be able to keep their kids
YES DONT GET ANIMALS IF U ARE NOT PREPARED TO TAKE CARE OF THEM! (Im a child but i have done alot of research and stuff on diff animals just incase i get one and make sure i take good care of it)
possible, some owner tend to forget, or not even contemplate that animals are living creatures too, they are not accessories to be toyed with. Sure if your a first-time owner your going to make careless mistakes at the start but doing your research before purchasing/keeping an animal is imperative. But I think what matters most is that you actually care and take responsibility in providing the best quality of life for the living creature and its physical and mental well being. If your not willing to commit to this and think that just cuz you own the animal you can do whatever the hell you want without considering the consequences your actions may cause, then what your doing is abuse and you shouldn't have anything to do with another living creature!
the thing is i believe that kims child does love her pet, shes just far far too young. sadly so so many parents just let young kids run free with these animals
Kim Kardashian has a history of neglecting her animals, (I remember the hamster she had and she kept it in a tiny critter trail and it ended up dying) perhaps from lack of education which still isnt an excuse, you should always research the needs of your animal before purchasing one.
Agreed. I have 2 guineas from my moms friend and the first thing I did was research (what enclosure is best, what kinds of food they can have, ect.) Research is important, especially for animals with certain needs.
i simply cannot be on the positive side like "she doesnt know", she is an adult, she is rich, it is 100% on her for not putting in the work to make sure her pet is in good care (she could literally hire a team of 10 people in a split second)
That’s true. But I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that she truly didn’t realize what was wrong with her behavior. Now that she’s knows, she should make changes.
even if she wasn't rich there is google and youtube for a reason and I will not give someone the benefit of a doubt because that opens the door for them to use the excuse "I didn't know!" for anything when really information is at your finger tips there is no excuse to neglect an animal like this

She is rich and even if she wasn't there is such a thing as google or for anyone wanting to go "but maybe she is too busy!" there are books out there she can read in her spare time. I do not give others benefit of the doubt on this as there is no excuse why the animal you CHOSE to get is living poorly and suffering from your choices not theres
@@Sassafrass95 not everyone knows what ressorses are available and as for books, better off not reading them as the information is in some cases 50 years out of date. Best bet for ressorses is to join one or more of @Advancing Herpetological Husbandry Facebook groups, they are always updating the information in their care guides
She is literally super rich. She has the potential to give that dragon whatever they want! She can give it space, good food, and great health but all that she cares about is stupid Instagram!
I had recently rehomed my sick bird because I was a minor and I couldn’t have any control over when my bird gets to see the vet, seeing stuff like this is so frustrating for me to witness. Like, if you’re as rich as Kim you can just even hire someone to set the enclosure up for you like?? Bruh
The poor beardie's toes gave me instant anxiety. When I first got my bearded dragon, his toes went red one day and I freaked out and took to forums and asked 100 questions to experienced people. Turns out he just stomped on a strawberry I had put on his salad that day and i felt a little silly for being so concerned, but definitely relieved. If they had looked that inflamed and awful, I would have immediately driven the 2 hours to the closest reptile vet, no questions asked.... how could anyone see that and think, "meh, looks fine"??? I'm horrified.
I don't have any reptiles and I know next to nothing about beardies, but those feet looked so bad and painful to me! It makes me so, so sad to think how much she must not care about that poor beardie. Some people should not have pets.
I get so triggered when people let their kids manhandle animals. No living creature is a toy, and as the adult the parent has a responsibility to educate themselves and their children on the appropriate way to treat animals.
Kids manhandling and hurting animals is something I loathe, especially since you hear “they’re just kids!” As though that’s a reason to just let them continue hurting them

I always take all the animals out of the room whenever my little niece and nephews come by (to my demise) because these children will squeeze, throw, pick up any animal in their peripheral and it's fucking annoying when their parents pretend that shit is okay and lets their children do whatever.
Kids don’t know any better and they are just kids. BUT ADULTS should be watching the kids making sure they are taking well care of an animal, and if the child isn’t willing to treat the animal with respect then they shouldn’t handle an animal. And the parents need to learn how to parent their children
Once again the Kardashians promote horrible behavior. I truly hope this won't turn into a fad animal and lead to a lot of rescues and animal deaths. Maybe I'm pessimistic but I just don't see anything good coming from Kim. That animal needs to be sent to a professional that can care for its special needs.
Dude I remember people started adopting huskies just because of the dire wolves in Game of Thrones then a couple months later there were a lot of huskies either getting rehomed or put back into shelters it breaks my heart and people need to do research before adopting a pet
And french bulldogs. Good land, the whole thing with french bullies and pugs makes my blood boil. Every time some celebrity pops up with their flat/faced dog, puppy mills for the breed pop up and shelters are inundated with these dogs that can't breathe properly.

i honestly don’t care if she “didn’t know” because i ALWAYS research an animal before bringing it into my home. You don’t just wing it with babies, you learn what they need, you take them to the doctor. With all animals you absolutely need to know what an animal needs before you bring it home and regularly vet checks. This isn’t even about her being rich or famous.
Not knowing enough about the animal is one of the more common reason for abandoning an animal. A women abandoned her dog because she adopted it for Christmas for her kids when it was still a puppy, and didn't realized that he would be so big when he grew up

Considering she's letting her young daughter carry this beardie around and putting it in matching outfits and stuck a gem on it's head, I don't think they're interested in a proper enclosure for it since it's purpose is clearly to be a toy rather than a respected and well (appropriately) cared for pet. I'm also relatively certain that they've painted the nails. When can animal control step in? After it's dead? So sad.
@mojo mojo totally agree. I just assumed nail polish sticking with their theme of dressing it up and treating it like it's a toy dog. But you are probably right, she probably had some random assistant cut it's nails since the kid is carrying it around everywhere. I wonder if it's dead already
They're 100% treating it like a barbie doll and not an animal, sadly animal control will only see the glitz and glam of the celebrity probably and let them off most likely. They need to be held accountable for animal abuse.
The sad thing is that nobody is teaching the kids how to properly take care of their pets, so they're just setting their daughter up for heartbreak if something happens to Speed because "we can get another one." They could EASILY do their research and teach the kids how to respect animals properly!
The gem, while it should NOT be stuck onto a beardie's skin, is not covering the pineal eye scale, it's too far forward. But no, don't stick things on your beardie, as they can absorb toxins through their skin, and something like that could also interfere with a shed. As far as the state of the nails, they most certainly need to be trimmed, as they are probably enflamed from getting hooked in fabric and pulled. And no, you should not put reptiles in clothes. A cape-like costume (like the winged harnesses) that doesn't block the belly fine, but something like that coat will actually PREVENT them from absorbing heat, and cause multiple health issues. Another thing I noticed, the eyes look puffy, which is indicative of dehydration, or perhaps MBD. I hope Kardashian gets animal abuse charges filed against her, because she is slowly killing that poor animal.
Ha, people like her don't care about animals. They get animals for nothing more than to show off. They think of animals as nothing more than living toys.

I’m perfectly ok with animals in costumes as long as they are happy. But if they don’t like it and aren’t getting anything good from it, then you shouldn’t.
My bearded dragon does not like clothes but will tolerate his harness because that means he gets to go on an adventure. My families dog on the other hand loves clothes and wants to wear them all the time. If he is not in clothing he will go to his clothing box and bark
Thats how my beagle is about his clothes we had some for him when he was small and now he carries his small clothes around and barks. If u put a harness on him he'll growl if u try to take it off. Lizards shouldn't wear clothes
I have 2 bearded dragons and they are in perfect condition, now be aware I am 12! My bearded dragons look great and are really active! It worries me how a 12 year old (Not yet even a teenager) can take care of an animal better than an adult with millions of dollars.
Great video! I completely agree with you on dressing up animals. As long as they aren’t showing stress and it’s for a short period of time I don’t see much issue.
That is very true and I agree to some extent, but I can't help but flinch a little bit when I see animals dressed up in human clothing. The reason for this is that some people who do this are basically using their pet as a stand-in for a human child and are imposing human traits onto an animal, which never ends well. This is what I think is happening with Speed. I have seen a lot of videos on AFV for example of people putting socks on their cat's feet and then laughing as it stumbles around because it can't feel the ground beneath it properly and to me it feels kind of cruel.
Kim K abuses animals and when she gets called on it, she ignores the outrage. Jenna Marbles makes a mistake with her fish, gets called on it, then immediately does the right thing. What a shame that we drove Jenna away
no one drove jenna away, she made the choice to take a break. don't remove her agency and make it seem like people came after her when she realized she needed time for self reflection and working on other things
what really concerns me is that because she has such a large following, people will begin to do the same as her with their pets. which is why we all push doing your research so hard
I- I didn’t even know she had a bearded dragon... also, even as someone whose never owned a bearded dragon, I saw those toes and immediately knew he was being kept in an improper enclosure.
Not a beardie owner either, but I have 2 leos who’ve lost most of their toes due to bad husbandry on account of their previous owner. If I notice any stuck shed that’s been in their feet longer than a day I give them a shallow soak in warm water to loosen the stuck skin so I can remove it carefully, this is how I keep them from losing more toes
It makes me sad/disappointed when Celebrities/influencers get animals and they don't take proper care of the animal like they have the money they can go all out
Dressing your animals is not a problem in my eyes as long as, like you said, they enjoy it and it does not disrupt their normal behavior. If an animal can’t sit or move in their natural manner, it is not a good outfit. Likewise, I would never put a hat on my bearded dragon because it covers their light sensor. Lol
I used to have a dog that hated the cold but we live in northern New England so 6/12 months are cold, so we would always have her in a dog coat and she loved it it made her warm during the cold months
@@Calyaer You use a training pad with grass like substrate if the dog needs potty training or if they get sick, are menstruating, or bladder sneak ups(they can't hold it). But putting them in diapers can lead to infection. If you don't wanna pick it up use a poopa scoopa. People need to learn how to respect and care for animals..
It looks like the gem is set more forward away from the third eye, however they still shouldn’t glue stuff to their dragon. Its the feet that concern me the most

Beardies are a long term commitment! It’s not a hamster that will pass away in a few years. They live for 10+ years like a dog or cat. It kills me to see parents (especially such influential parents) get a living breathing animal as a toy for their children. Hoping that Speed gets a life upgrade soon ❤️
Even if a hamster were to live for just two weeks, you still need to take proper care of it. An animal's lifetime should not be the deciding factor if it deserves proper care.
The second I saw that poor dragon’s toes I was furious, not to mention how this poor guy is being held. The gem is just the final straw of why Kim shouldn’t have pets My first thought with the toes was that it didn’t shed properly, either way this poor creature needs proper care.
Do not own a bearded dragon, but the length of the toes and how red they looked was the first thing I noticed. Not to mention prey animals (like a bearded dragon) get very stressed when their bellies aren't on the ground, or being held in positions like the one in the video. The extra examples in the video infuriated me more. I hope Kim and similar people like her never have any more pets, just so they don't suffer and are put in proper care by people who know how to care for them.
yes when i was about to get mine, i did a ton of research and i showed my parents how I compiled it all into a document. in the handling section, it said you should always have support on their bellies so they dont do pinwheels with their tail and their oxygen isnt cut off.
Unfortunately Kim doesn’t care. She was told about proper care when the same daughter got a Syrian hamster in a horribly small pet store cage and when that one immediately died like a week after they got it no doubt due to neglect they went out and bought her another one to be thrown back into that neglectful cage no doubt to immediately die again. 😢 poor babies you shouldn’t own animals that you have done zero research on. And considering I read her caption and she says they didn’t plan to get this beardie they were just pet sitting and it never went home so they had no plans to get one and that’s just not smart pet keeping 😓 I hope this time she actually takes peoples advice and helps this poor baby 😢
Here's the thing tho.... Even if someone "Just left it" the fact that it had a designer outfit would lead you to believe at that point they intended on keeping it. Otherwise, why spend so much on a small outfit for it. Sounds more like an excuse to me....

My daughter rescued a beardie and he’s doing very well. She was bawling her eyes out over this and couldn’t finish the video. I pray this poor beardie is rehoused soon or proper care is taken. It breaks our hearts to see this but also know these videos are a must to show how important it is to make the proper decision before bringing any animal into your family. We also run a rabbit rescue and I’m very picky on where my rabbits go to, it’s a constant fight during Easter. Thank you Emzotic for your video and your knowledge, this is only my first video I’ve viewed of yours but it sounds like you genuinely care! Condolences too.
On dressing up an animal; it depends on the animal and how long it's wearing it. A cat usually wouldn't like being dressed up and if left that way could overheat however with furless cats its recommended because their body gets cold very easily.
I remember seeing the pictures and immediately cringing! I really wish that people would think things through. I can see all the people now buying bearded dragons with zero research
A friend sent it to me, asking "Is that a lizard like yours? It's alive?" I told them that indeed it's a beardie but not one doing too well, they were just as dissapointed as me. There's also a change.org petition to counteract the misinformation spread by Kim's post
My dog loves costumes, I don't think dressing them up is bad as long as they're not uncomfortable, scared or overheating. For some older dogs it can actually be a good thing if you live in colder climates.
The feet looks like stuck shed which causes necrosis or rotting off of the toes....poor beardie. A child that young shouldn't be responsible for an exotic animal but the parents would be more to blame bc they purchased it for the child.

@TheWinningSmileOfficial the only hard work a Kardashian knows is how to keep their name in the media. 😐 The only possible grace I can see is that maybe they saw the animal was in a bad way and “kept” it to get it away from their friend and into medical care that hasn’t had a chance to kick in, but if that were the case, North shouldn’t be treating the animal like a doll, and Kim should have said something like “yes, we know there are issued but she’s getting treated by” as she posted a photo of North looking at the dragon in her enclosure. 🤷♀️ The second worst part of this is, if North really is an animal lover, she’s going to reach an age where she realizes what her mom let her do was bad for her pet(s), and that’ll likely cause her grief when she realized she hurt something she loved.
the title made me so scared because I remembered she entrusted a fish (small bowl too, poor space for it, wasn't a betta either, and clearly was put in poor conditions) to like a 5 year old??? and they were confused why the fish kept dying but they wanted to shield the boy from death so they kept buying more fish and they kept dying THIS IS THE woman who got a bearded dragon which my god is NOT a beginner's pet
As a bearded dragon owner, I was outraged about what Kim did. Never ever hold a dragon like that cuz it restricts breathing and it can potentially can cause damage to organs.
To be perfectly honest, she clearly has no clue what she is doing with that dragon, 3/4 of the people with bearded dragons are doing it badly or incorrectly, these animals may be seen as a starter reptile, but honestly that statement alone has probably killed hundreds of dragons. I honestly honestly hope people don't see her posts and think they can manage a dragon. People should do research and be prepared before they get the animal, but influencers end up starting a fad or different dog breeds or different animals, leading to abandonment and animal suffering. If you're reading this and you think you would like a bearded dragon, please remember that for your dragon to be content and happy, they need and 4x2x2 vivarium, 12% uvb tube, decent heat lamps and good substrate, as well as live food. All of which costs a lot of money, and a lot of time.
@@Emzotic it's an unfortunate state of events when the only way for someone to notice their animal care is wrong is for thousands and thousands of people to get angry or frustrated. And as others have said, her and her family have such a wealth of both finances and resources and thousands of people willing to help, but yet again, they will probably just get rid of the dragon rather than taking the proper care of him.... I'm praying this won't cause another rise in bearded dragon breeding and ownership as that never ends well, and leads to bad care and reputations, look at put bulls, dobermans and other bully breeds, with their portrayal through the 1990's
I had a beardie, she passed away a few years ago. I still weep due to it she didnt move much normally because she was an old beardie(around 8 or 9) and it makes me sad when people throw them out because they get bored
Re: animals in clothing -- I agree with you Em, in fact, I've noticed some smaller dogs that get cold easily actually seem most comfortable in a sweater sometimes
We had retired racing greyhounds when I was a kid and they needed sweaters in the winter. They just naturally have short fur and low body fat. One of them hated taking them off when he got home, he wanted to be cozy. So we left it on lol.
Yeah I have a dog named Ras and he is a mill dog rescue and because he’s not very healthy we have to make sure that he is and that includes him having to wear sweaters because he would get so cold 🥶 since he doesn’t have much fur
I absolutely hate that that these famous celebrities are using exotic animals as props and toys for their own entertainment. She doesn't even realize that the beardie is suffering to her horrible husbandry and lack of supplements needed. Bearded dragons are a big commitment and they must have the proper care and husbandry. As I noticed, the dragon is starting to develop MBD, a irreversible disease that causes the bones and joints to weaken. It's truly disgusting.
I think animals should only wear clothes if they’re functional (ex: a jacket for a short coated breed in the winter, or a harness for walks) or if they are very very comfortable with it. They comfort and safety comes above all.
@@nunocarneiro464 Dogs have been bred by humans for decades. Chihuahuas for example would not exist without us. They need jackets to stay warm in some conditions. Thought you should always look up if your breed has a need for extra layers since in some cases it can do more harm then good.
@@nunocarneiro464 Domesticated animals=\=wild animals. My schnauzer needed a coat in the winter because it gets to -40° where I live! Other dogs have needed slippers so they don't slip on the floor or ice and to prevent snow from building up on their paws and making them uncomfortable. There are functional reasons for clothing on pets!
The minute I saw the post I was so so worried for the dragon. Worse Kim is such an influential person she could accidentally start a bearded dragon “trend”. Which could lead to many being rehomed etc
I don't have any pets, I have never had any pets, I have no plans to get any pets beyond pet plants. I was still disturbed at the toes. :( I have had more than enough friends with pets (cat, dogs, birds, turtles, rats, gerbils, etc) to not properly look at photos
First time seeing those photos, I thought that the dragon looked like he was in pain. I’m no expert on bearded dragons but those photos definitely look concerning
YES!!!! I was thinking about getting a agma lizard but their is like no info on them so obviously I'm not going to get one if I don't know how to take care of it.
I'll be honest, i didn't like how the dragon was being held, but I noticed the beard was not black so i moved on. I realized I missed so much. You're right to address this I'm glad you did. As for dressing animals, it's a case by case basis. I had 1 dragon that was perfectly happy with costumes and another that was fine, but 1 day after a year had a black beard, no other indication. He never had to see another costume. It's fun to take silly costume pictures but only when your subject is ok with it.
Having seen a couple of the Animal1Guy's bearded dragon rescue videos, it seems like they don't get the beard blackening when they're in really rough shape. Like at some point they feel bad enough that they stop trying to defend themselves? Maybe the dragon in the photos is just super chill, but it makes me worried her beard's not black because she's ill.
@@jakual339 I have not seen "Animal Guy's" video. You still make a very good point, all the costumes I have used were minimal compared to this horrible full-body snowsuit, This dragon might have given up. The more I think about it, the more I am upset by this.

That outfit Speed was put in looks very warm, and if the third eye is covered up, like you had said about him not realizing he's in shade, there is a possibility he's already overheating. I wouldn't let Kim K near any animals, judging by the other pets she's had. She clearly doesn't care enough about them to actually make sure they are living good, happy lives and are healthy, and well-taken care of. If my folks saw me carrying our new leopard gecko around like that, I'm sure they'd be mad. Not that I would carry them in any way unnatural, it's just flat-out cruel and horrifying.
My sister has a bearded dragon, so seeing this makes me so angry, especially seeing how much my sister loves her dragon. If i could, i would save that poor lizard..
As someone who dresses up my cat occasionally for photos, I also know that he has his limits and anything more than 20-30 minutes annoys him and he wants it off (he will take his own outfits off so I don't atypically worry to do it myself). @@saphiriathebluedragonknight375 makes sense. My cat is a shorthair with a fur pulling anxiety issue, so his backside often is missing fur in places. The limit for us usually is a shirt or a jacket for a photo. He will fully cooperate with it being put on, but does not like it on for prolonged periods, which I get. He absolutely loves his collar though, even though it desperately needs washing at times. Typically we have to wash his collar with him or he gets really upset that it's off him.
Lol. As a stupid child sometimes I’d try to put things like bracelets and ribbons as a collar on my cat. She did not like them very much, but she seems to not mind the flea collar we got for her.

I really want to see the set up, and hear about how Speed is taken care of! I've seen, unfortunately, a child around North's age be given a beardie, and the poor thing was treated like a toy. Likewise, when the kid got bored... poor thing was left to rot, and my friend and I gave him as good of a life as we could before he unfortunately passed. I worry that they just think Speed is a toy, especially with dressing him up.
Yes almost everytime I see any small child get an animal espically children of rich people think the animal is a toy and can do what they like to it. Like I remember when I was little I'd go to my county fair every year cause their was lots of animals to pet or for sale and every year people would bring in their kittens to let people pet and play with almost all the other kids my age were rough handling these poor kittens it was so bad I'm honestly surprised no kitten was seriously injured or even killed and none of the parents tried to stop them
Pets will always be apart of my family. Originally I got a small corgi husky mix after college to really give myself a reason to get up in the morning. After 2 weeks I really started to get attached and she really kept me going in life. When she finally passed away this year it was like a actual family member died. I legitimately didn't cry this much at my great grandfather's death. We even hosted on little funeral. In the end we cremated her and she forever lives right under my desk where she used to lay when I would do work. Rip Schnee forever in my heart

These people are so rich and they can’t afford a person to train them on how to take care of these types of animals or at least pay someone to actually take care of it like they do with their children.
About dressing pets: I think it depends on the costume (cloth, design, size, etc.), how long is the pet on that costume and if the pet enjoys it or not. It is important to use a safe design depending on the pet, safe materials, make sure the pet is not using the costume for too long and if the pet actually enjoys it, it is important to respect the animal who doesn't want to use a costume and make sure the animal is not getting stressed.
I think Kim is guilty of doing what a lot of parents do who like to spoil their child. They probably just walked into a pet store, had her daughter choose something, get everything that the store pamphlet or employee said they would need, and went on their way. It's really sad to think about, because we all know that if she chose to take this seriously, this bearded dragon could be the most spoiled, well taken after animal. It's a lot of work and research, and I get it if she has no interest in putting in that work, but she can afford to basically have a zoo keeper come in and do the work for her. All she has to make sure of is to not let her kid hurt it.
I work at a local pet store and we always make sure people leave knowing proper care for their new pet. We have to take classes to work there. I know big company pet stores don’t do that and they should. And the owner should have to fill out something like a questionnaire so they truly understand the needs of an animal as a living being and not a child’s “toy”
I don’t know much about bearded dragons, but as soon as I saw this picture I immediately thought the feet looked weird and this video just confirmed it!
100% honesty, I truly don’t think most celebrities should have any animals other than dogs or cats. They’re almost never prepared for whatever animal it is, and just like with them trying something like horse riding or rapping, they do it once and act as if they’re an expert. They’re some of the least likely people to properly take care of other creatures in my opinion.
This is a really stupid opinion. You should have whatever animal you want as long as you're able and willing to care for them properly. You should not if you aren't. It has very little to do with your popularity level. I would argue that celebrities are the best equipped people to care for exotic animals due to the resources available to them. It's just that many of them do not.

For dressing up pets, I agree with you. I know some kinds of pets get cold easily, like Sphinx cats, so it's a good option to put them in little sweaters to keep them warm. It looks cute, too.
Sorry...but i think Kkw is ridiculous. Speaking as someone who used to own bearded dragons ..my heart BREAKS for that lil guy. I spent many years devasted over what happened to my 1st 2 dragon babies. My first purchase i was told they were the same sex, when they reached maturity, we woke up 1 morning and found one dead and the other beat up horribly..so bad he had to be put to sleep, and it was becuZ they were both males, awful..just terrible...when i got my 3rd one. I had him for 12 wonderful years...before he passed of old age. When i see this kind of stuff..it makes me so mad. I truly hope Someone is taking care of that dragon
Oh wow, I'm terribly sorry for you. But this is yet another reason you have to be sure to do all of your research. I'm glad you learned from your mistakes and gave another beardie a wonderful life.
It's disappointing seeing someone with such a large platform doing such little research and providing inadequate care for an exotic pet. She's treating it like a toy or accessory.
It gets even worse when you look up how to care for one and see how easy it is. They aren't demanding. Mine isn't at least, until I'm late for snack time
In regards to clothes, I think what kind of clothing matters. Can they move without too much difficulty? Does it impede their ability to regulate bodily functions like temperature and breathing? Putting a hat on a lizard isn’t going to hurt them but putting a bearded dragon in a very fluffy costume causes heat regulation problems and also makes if very hard for them to walk around since the belly of the outfit is going to cause friction on the ground. Putting a cat in a costume isn’t going do anything unless they try to groom themselves but that won’t be a big deal if you take it off soon
