The game rejects new players. 20% of the world is the only safe zone and the only thing waiting for you outside these zones are 7 year maxed vets and Ganking squads. It's a toxic game that's way overpriced for that subscription you could get a triple a subscription and some change. I never felt a more toxic community and environment than Albion online and one that discouraged new players as this game.

Hey man. I recently played the game when it launched in the east. I just searched on YT some guides and builds and etc. and your channel always pops up. I find your guides helpful and I appreciate your work for making these videos to help people. But the one thing that I really like the most watching your vids is how real you are, that you just speak your mind. Your opinion on things and your standpoint on not just Albion / video games, but also in life. More power to you sir.

Here is the list of reasons I stopped playing: 1. Very little left over after paying for premium. 2. Rewards from almost all solo activity has been reduced repeatedly until they are now a meme. If you accidently get knocked while doing something like a solo chest, regardless of yellow or red or black, then whatever you get from the chest most likely does not even cover your repairs. 3. The game is now min/maxed to the point that if you don't craft in the right city, on the right day, with food and focus, you will lose money. 4. I have spec to 100 in all armor, all boots, all helms except a couple plate, all swords with king and carving at 120, all bows, crossbows, fire staff, holy staff, druid staff, curse staff at 100. There is nothing else I really want to chase and chasing more spec just feels shitty. 50m silver to max a weapon. Why if not just to make you feel the squeeze and want to pay real money. 5. None of my friends are willing to play because the path from the start to being able to successfully run in a large group with good spec is just a mindless grind. No fun, no quests, just pure kill mobs. And after the grind they have no way to make silver in order to keep up with any of us or pay for premium or buy sets that can be lost in the black zones. What does this game have to offer for a new player aside from hoping a veteran player will come along and just help them. 6. The people I used to play with have all quit as premium costs boxed them out.

Oldschool runescape tried a full loot mod like albion online, same problems occurred here. Clans dominated, you lost everything in danger zones plus the most valuable items in your bank (no degrees of safety), good pkers made everyone else quit when people were sick of rebuilding.

Thanks for posting this. I thought about getting in to this game but I think you just saved me a lot of heartache. I'm a casual gamer. This game sounds super hardcore.

I live in the PH and the premium cost is 16$ or 870 PHP considering the minimum wage in this country at the lowest is at 300-350PHP is insane

The reasons why I quit was because: 1) I invested a lot of time/money into getting my cleric crafting to 100 and I make no profit from it - i break even. If I invest a lot of time into something i should be rewarded. 2) I get ass handed to me by guilds and 20 man gank groups when I want to go out and solo pvp 3) I try the mists but get ass handed to me by 8.3 guys or get 3rd partied by rats 4) corrupted dungeons are boring and repetitive 5) get ass handed to me by blue police in red zone 6) Resources are heavily gathered because everyone now seems to have high gathering specs, so there's barely anything left over 7) solo dungeons are boring and repetitive

I agree I miss grinding solo dungeons the excitement you get when you open the chest it's like opening a lootbox it's so satisfying when you get lucky.

What i hate most in albion are the sellers that sell resources for so low for example: the current sell order price of rough stone is 90 then suddenly a player sell 3 pieces of rough stone for 80 and then some player sell high amounts of rough stone and lower its price to 79 to sell it quick, so because of some dumb player that selled it for so low the other players follow its price or lowers it even more, essentially lowering the value of rough stone from 90 to 79 just because of some dumb player, and it makes rough stone less profitable for others

It's impossible to keep the premium every month for those who don't earn in dollars. They need to figure out a way to convert the payment taking into account the currency of each country.

Honestly I dont mind everything and the gankers since I can evade them just fine. I just wish they could include more pve content and add mechanics and bosses to actually complete this game and not waste the decent combat system just on pvp. It would bring in more people cause that would really make a lot of people return. The repetitive pve just isn’t it.

I live in Thailand and playing this game for a year. I have many friends in Western server but I have to leave them and go to East server because I can't handle Ping issue. when I was in Western I played like a billionaire, lost high teir item in pvp isn't hurt my feelings but now I have to farming about 2-3 hours for buy just a cape 😂

Mist-like NPC that, for silver, teleports you to a dungeon would solve much trouble.

Hey man i just started playing in east about 5 days ago (taking a break from ff14 decided to try albion) and what you said about crafters (im crafter and gatherer by nature and about t5 on all gathering) and how endgame is basically pvp and how unsustainable premium silvering buying is. I thought of joining a guild but from im hearing most of them just using us for the passive silver (also im so done bending the knee to leaders in ANY game. Free companies, guilds, factions and about every other MMO game (burnt one too many times) hence im very much a solo player but that seems to nigh impossible unless i sink ungodly amount of time in game (which i wouldn’t mind if there isnt a mandatory pvp mode in endgame) I was gathering while listening to your video and it severally demotivated me 😅😅😅 but in a good way. I guess its time to dabble in 40k. Thanks for voicing your opinion on the current state of the game!

Corrupted Dungeon meta in a nutshell : everyone using hunter hood, merc jacket, plate boots Weapon? Either dual swords or cursed staff, if you're rich, deathgivers. It's just dull.

I played the game It was pretty fun at first but when u started to get in the yellow to black zone it became unfair that many players were teaming up to gak u it was so hard I grinded to almost 10m sliver see it now needs 16m made me quit also my teammates were flexing because they were pay to win or very lucky I think it's better to play other games

As a player who played and left from time to time, the mobile players are not used to playing anything remotely close to Albion. Our sandbox experiences are limited but whatever we did play included 1. Crafting solo houses, taming pets, and PvP etc. 2.mobile players are always used to questing, which Albion rejects at its core design. 3. Cool events, collabs etc. Where players could gather and have some unique fun rather than monotonous grind. Albion was not made for mobile, it was ported to it. So people play games like Ragnarok, dragon Raja etc. They need to really stress on making their game more fun, interesting and not just a gathering and hardcore PvP simulator. At least from the view of mobile.

Customer support sucks. One day they are keen to help you , the next day they don’t feel like helping you for the exactly same kind of help you need from them.

Don't know why so many people in comments consider premium should be "easy" to pay with ingame money when the game is now f2p. If you are coming from beta or the early days, it is understandable because back then, you needed to pay to get access. But now people really need to consider premium closer to a membership than costly buff. SBI is not a nonprofit organization guys.

as a old player that recently returned, i still remember the drama revolving around top 10 guilds and alliances, blue army doxxing people just to get an edge in rankings and shit, this game is toxic af like all full loot pvp games are and its not going away.

People are leaving because the hype train built from updates is starting to go off the rails. While the game has a lot of weapons and gear to play, it's still highly over run by copy and paste builds or the "meta"... Which makes the gameplay very repetitive when one has to use the same slow combos and strategies to get wins. Some people are fine with playing the same build but most won't stick around when they realize that making their own functional builds is complicated because the boring Meta just prevails in most situations. "Not discussing zvz or small-scale content metas" The gameplay is too chunky; It makes it harder for people to learn and react to countering other players which leads them to keep playing the boring meta, but then still dying a lot because they are taught what to wear but not how to use their kit counter opponents skills. It takes too much time to git gud and actually start getting kills consistently without having a team take fights where they outnumber the opposition. Also the ability to find a team or guild to do stuff with is based on whether or not you use discord. A lot of people really don't want to be heard or hear someone else talk. Honestly I've had my best gameplay with people who just know how to play...discord not needed. The game is not new player friendly for PvP... The PvE slow and boring compared to most MMO I have played....but this all falls back on the game being too chunky in terms of skill activations/animations... I get slowing the game down to give players an equal opportunity to react...but that's nonsensical when you consider that players' fast reactors are still fast and slow are still slow... Sure everyone is slower, but faster is still faster. People with normal or slow reactions therefore take a larger hit in terms of gameplay... Its a "Sandbox" Game where you can't really do things your own way despite the variety of options because the Meta is too dominating

I will add my thoughts also.. the player support is non existent.. lately dew to the twitch increasing DROPS ! tag many people are getting scammed by fake giveaways (mostly newer players who don't know better). My friend lost almost everything in a scam like that... i told him that there is no problem and i will pay for the gear but the fact that he contacted SBI they told him "We can see that you did get hacked but we can't do anything cause we dont give items or silver back" was enough for him to stop the game... and since he stopped me and a couple of friends also stopped cause we were playing all together... That is 70% my friends fault but also 30% bad customer service on SBI's behalf...

Well I used to enjoy this game I got super busy in life and I stopped playing it after a while I was in a famous guild of bw I don't remember the guild name but guild leader is SittightSir I guess they kicked me out being off for so long About game : good game if you have real life friends to play with you Cause playing solo in this game is not good You won't be able to enjoy this game to the fullest I have been playing for like 2 yrs or more and believe me Going out in bz and grinding open world mobs is not fun grinding in static dungeon is not fun after certain period of time you just don't feel fun but necessity At the end you will enjoy the game solo/with group at first then you won't And you have to give so much time to this game that at some point you will quit of you are a busy person

Can't keep up with repairs. The higher your tier gear, the more you have to pay to repair gear. And the game doesn't provide big ways to get silver other than lethal pvp, where you can end up losing your shirt. So basically you can't faction unless you buy gold and sell it for silver. And then there is the rest of what you said, which is spot on. I'm taking a break until this game gives better quality of life.

I came back to albion after the release of albion east asia coz i used to have 280+ ping playing west. I'm just disappointed. I used to grind t5 dungeons everyday and used the money to buy premium. You are on point, it's just not fun for solo players like me anymore. I just want them to rework the chest rewards for the better.

I quit the game long ago cause I couldn't really do anything solo or even with my 4 friends. I couldn't farm in bz or going to dungeons in there solo cause some random guys would have came there and kill me like 4v1. I couldn't do dungeons even with my friends cause there was always an squad (more than 8 players) coming at us to murder us all. So there was no place for me in black zone and since blue zone and yellow zone and even red zone is not fun that much, I decided to quit the game for good.

How's the status of this game? Can a new player still catch up? Is this game force you to spend real money?

Such a great video - I don’t know why, but I love it when you jump the tracks and just talk. And you’re right about the bleak future of Albion. But I can’t seem to quite this game, somehow finding new things to do.

All the rewards for everything went down and it’s not worth doing any of them anymore with all the added fees. As a solo player or newbie it’s very hard and not fun especially being 1v20 and all the bugs or cheats and bots now. Some people don’t want to waste hours just to make little or some don’t want to have to sit in a discord of 20 people just to play a game every day

Fuuuh... I just wrote the maximum amount of characters for youtube comments... I really hate this game and good riddance for it dying and getting full with griefers and bots. This game broke me... Deleted my character and gave EVERYTHING to a random nooby in the starter village... I didn't even care if it's a bot... I was so pissed of and no guildies were online. 4 am or sth similiar were the time.

Just started playing a week ago, I have 0 complaints against the game. I'm enjoying every single aspect of it, even the ganking of high lvl players. 2k hours in rust of losing loot will do that to you maybe. But I love how the game feels like wow, lol and diablo all at the same time, while giving you options to do whatever activity you currently feel like doing and youll feel like youre progressing no matter what you do. Buying premium even with real cash once a month isnt a big deal for me, if the game is fun

For me: expensive premium, killing solo posibilities (solo dungeons drop is shit, mists are fucked up with these 8.4 players camping each possible spots, lack of new interesting content leads to creating groups of bored nerds camping each black zoned map so newbies and very solo players are kicked to yellows). Black Market changes lead me to abandon crafting to supply NPC. Useless changes making game worse and pushing to pvp all the time. "Sandbox" from loading screen should get deleted. Islands are more and more useless, crafting is for top ranked players who manipulate market, hce nerfed, solo dungeons are runes and treasures farms, group dungeons kinda useless comparing to profits. But we got useless Brecilien with teleports to mists. Helpful tool for predators to make pve players leave. Lets introduce radar for gankers, indicator above solo dungeons if someone is inside, tax islands and add debuffs for players who didnt kill anyone for 12 hours. Oh, and random pickup players for hunger games. And more lags please, game is running very well.

Well, I'm a new player and I'll play on west server. Mostly because I have a whoping 200+ ping on the east server, but also because I want to play with people I can understand XD

Stopped playing after about 30 hours in. It's just too frustrating to lose everything you have as a newer player. I'm not gonna hang out in safe zones and 10x the time it takes to gain levels. And even when you get the good gear you can't use it cause you will be found by a large party and destroyed, unless you do nothing but stay in your Guilds territory which is painfully boring.

Mists are broken, this is content for streamers who dress in 1800IP to show how they kill trash for 50k. It's true, currently you only earn money from collecting and pvp. I came back to the game 2-3 years ago and it was possible to get out of solo within 30 minutes, about a million, two at most. They nerfed it a year ago and it was around 200k/solo. Currently, sometimes the map is not returned. They prefer to make changes by introducing crappy skins and increasing the premium price.

Albion Online's prohibition on reselling Albion money pushed me away. people are free to resell what they buy.

East server premium scks too, 4 mil for 4 days the people with founders pack dominated the gold market already, and it jump from 4 mil to 10 mil on 5th day and 11 now. It will keep growing too. Cause the founder packs ruined the f2p players. The SBI makes a lot of money and thats all they care though.

couldnt even start playing the game propperly since as a pvp player im kinda forced to do tons of pve, grind my gear and my only purpose until i get decked out, is to entertain others. players leaving is one thing, but who would start this grind with tons of games eiter doing pve or pvp better?

i stopped playing because you can't make any silver without the risk of getting ganked i hate pvp, i hate pvp games. i want pve, and this game doesn't have any pve, if your not willing to risk any pvp. i hate loosing progression in games, and dieing and loose 500k, and never be able to make that back.

i just comeback again since i notice the east server… but somehow… i dont feel that motivated somehow.. any idea of what to do for solo playing?

i quit albion in 2021 with 600m silver due to server lagg and arena trolls, came back 2022 bought 3 mammoth calfs from a player in /trade 4 days later i was banned for 3rd party transactions even though multi season top 10 guild rankings alpha founder account. then i heard of east server which is closer to me better than stable 213 ping. and its so bad i get 80-340 UNSTABLE ping and every arena game i've played has trolls and afks. sbi just spits on players

I played runescape for ages, from childhood well into adulthood. I never paid for membership in the early days, but when they introduced bonds, you better believe I was all over that. Eventually I got so burnt out that I would only play long enough to renew my membership then stop entirely. I'm afraid this will happen with albion too lol.

As a new player in Albion I must say that the loot in this game is absolutely trash, and I feel like the only ones having fun is the big groups or old west players. My content is literally kill animals and skin for 2 hours, farm shitty dungeons for 2 hours, boring Faction war which most of the times is 200 players fighting 2 players until you reach enemy city. Then there is a bit of PvP for 20 min and it turns around and goes the other way.

Being relaxed and played normally until a random neanderthal inbreed came, killed me and stole all of my equipment...No thanks, I deleted this game out of my PC in time. Be smart and do the same.

CASUAL PLAYERS TURN AWAY!!! EDIT: After 404 hours of gameplay, the game is fun and i think how the skill leveling up tree is great HOWEVER I got banned 3 days ago on the accusation of BOTTING. I HAVE A 1 MILLION PLUS FAME on gathering (fame is exp) and for new players that's a lot. I'm gatherer by trait like every other game. So i guess farming every for 1 and half hours everyday while watching youtube on the second monitor is considered as botting. FFS. Have tried to appeal the ban via email but no response. They even block my phone from review the app. SO HERE I AM and to make matters worst. I have JUST bought a 30 days premium via with 300 USD worth of gold (+ skins and a couple 100 usd at least more because i see the potential is in this game). YOU HAVE TO USE META WEAPONS to defend yourself in PVP zones or face getting rekt in seconds and to stack that the META weapons are EXTREMELY expensive (which is fine to a certain extent) HOWEVER the to craft and gather the specific resource in order to craft use weapon/armor top tier is GATE KEPT( along with 80% of the game's content) by MANY GUILDS (they camp the zones 24/7). You risk everything in your inventory to even attempt the journey to said zones. Granted it doesn't cost much but in gathering gear you STAND NO CHANCE AGAINST PLAYERS IN PVP GEAR (usually come in a group of 3-10 so even the BEST OF THE BEST GEAR WILL NOT SAVE YOU). If you go with combat gear you're basically crippling yourself on the gathering buff. 65 hours: If you're not into PVP and can't vibe with cut throats (certain guilds) then do not bother downloading. Granted the game is fun at first however definitely recommend watching a guide before anything else as the game is fairly punishing when you don't know what you're doing as you progress pass mid tier, it becomes very grindy. The game forces you into pvp in mid-upper tier zones. Btw for context, blue and yellow are safe zones whereas red and black are full loot zones. Market is pretty much controlled by the "Cartel" so dont bother opening public crafting lots (They'll drain you via free methods, translation you loss a lot of in game money) Players attacking you mid gathering in a yellow zone (dont lose gear but silver for repairing) just for the heck of it becomes annoying after awhile. In higher tier zones (red and black), gankers roam the area waiting for you to pass through and burst you down and loot everything you have. (recommend cheap gear to save on cost) OR You can prog in safer zones where resource nodes are mostly camped by players essentially making it harder to farm although in rare cases, players might attack you mid gathering just for the heck of it or just to remove you from the node. TLDR; snail pace prog in save zones OR risk your gear in pvp zones AND TRUST NO ONE or bring friends you trust along.

I'm playing both servers I'm new finding it hard to mine dungeons repairs cost more than loot received for doing it I'm on both servers and gathering is my best source of income but I'm trying to focus on skinning first but progress is slow either way got awesome beginners gear but look like a little worm on a big hook at the moment both ent can't afford a giuld of my own or a premium but I'll check my progress in a few months see how we do if I'm still tiny and broke ill be leaving two

Once your spec gets high enough, solo dungeon loot doesn't even cover your auto respec. Not even close. It literally costs money to run solo dungeons.

If people gonna migrate do east servers, I can finally farm in yellow zones without 2 people camping pink animal spawns :D

It's 10mil in east server and all dungeons, yellow zone,red zone,mist,alv roads all packed by party xd . A T3 dungeons has 60-70 players :D

They need to add more PVE content, Raids etc

So I played for a bit when the game was 7-8m silver a month, I have about 6m in silver, with an almost all open island. I’m T6 harvester and T6 fishing, also almost maxed out in stats for my weapon and armor. Rocking 5.3 gear with no guild/gold, should I even bother?

Also, for solo play lovers, I understand your frustration, but the AO was designed pretty much from the beginning to center around group plays and pvp oriented. In that taken into consideration, SBI really added a LOT of solo contents. Yes, sbi can improve and add more solo contents, but you should not expect it will be something of easy and rewarding, like black zone static dungeons. Why take risks going to black zone then? They didn't nerfed HCE for no reason.

I am glad that maybe there are people that notice that there are flaws to these games. That might give us all migraines and temperamental problems that are difficult. That maybe we all want a flawless internet with games of flawlessness.

I feel like it's the start of the downward spiral of the MMO. It's like this; - new MMO comes out, lots of hype, people like the hype, pay absurd upfront fee/subscription fee - money rolls in for devs and publishers - player base initially high - player base starts to decline - player base gets too low; devs decide to rework pricing from upfront/subs to microtransactions and F2P - player base gets up again - player base starts declining again - player base gets too low and not justifying maintenance of game - devs announce shutdown With this though, it seems like they added a step' - player base gets too low again; devs notice and open servers in new region of world for new pop (Asia) - player base gets up again - player base still high now that Asia has their own server Gradually the player base will start declining again, and unless they do some massive change that actually makes all the things in this game meaningful, it'll get to the point where a small player base won't be enough to sustain the game and it'll get shut down.

SBI needs to listen to swolebenji on this one I'm actually playing on the east thingking about quitting the game I played for like 3 hours gathering with the free premium earning 500k silver now after my premium expired it was 80k - 90k silver per 3 hours in yellow zones and it took me that same 3 hours to get 5k fame for my mining still not reaching T4 after all of the efforts. Black market is not very profitable when buying and selling same item on there However, what I do is that I buy some Tier 6 or Tier 7 armor piece, runes and upgrade them up to tier X.1 You would be surprised how many armor items can be sold for triple of amount you invest into it (I talk about investing like 30k and being able to sell for 90k) You can like do this and flip it on market in royale city, but on black market it's guarantee that you can sell it for sustainable price while on market it can get burried between other offers I don't really make millions like this, but it definitely makes a couple of hundred thousands of silver. About activities, doing just 1 activity gets boring after some time, so I try to do more, like when I feel like fame farming, I kill mobs, when I feel like joining faction war I just join it in safe zone, when I need money or feel like it, I buy some armor, upgrade it and transport it on black market

The game is trash and unbalanced

I hope you realize that you can make a pure profit from farming by just replanting the seeds, purchasing the few that are not replenished, and selling the produce all without spending focus. Even with focus this doesn't need to be the only way you make silver for premium. I agree that premium is quite high now, but I don't think people should be able to passively make enough for to purchase it either by just clicking a few crops each day for 15 mins.

Yep exactly my mind since I quit the west server 3 months before the east was announced. though I planned to play on the east the moment it opened I have things to do irl since im still a student so yeah joining a few months late.

I just dont agree on you losing loot, esp gear if you die in red zones or black zones its off putting
