Seen tremendous improvements in boot times and program startup times in SSD compared to HDD. I removed my dvd drive and put my HDD in a caddy and use it as a storage drive. My SSD is the boot drive.
SSDs are about 5 times faster than HDDs, twice as reliable on average, immune to bumps and drops (which kill HDD read/write heads and recording media/data), and consume less power (as you mentioned) so laptops can operate longer on a given battery charge.
have you worked on an acer aspire 3 with the green board and has a short cable of the charging pin that is not displaying .shorted on the output of the 3.3 and 5v power supply
True with the invention of M.2 NVMe storage SoC is taking over all devices' storage and one day traditional HDDs and SSDs won't be needed anymore because everything will be soldered on PCBs. Companies have already started this like with new laptops for example. Recently I worked on a nice brand new Acer Aspire 3 which had an NVMe SSD and the machine was very fast it was such a pleasure to work with 😁👌🏻
