Real gamers aren't assholes who hate on a perfect good community's, a real gamer is a nice person who at least doesn't hate on others for their own enjoyment
im a gamer and fully support furrys. i have a friend who is a furry. Support but i fellike the negative gamers would comment on this. sucks for them tho
Furries are hated because they're weird. While there's nothing wrong with being weird, people on the outside see it as going against what they perceive as "normal". Furries are some of the most creative people out there. If the world didn't have furries, we'd have something else in its place that will be equally as hated (and personally I wouldn't want to live in that universe).
Aye it's hard to focus on one aspect there are millions of niche furry groups of all kinds from cute and cuddly to dark and scary. It's very varied and fursuiters are basically their own groups well . Lots of artist and many reasons to join or just enjoy from afar. Not everyone has to be converted would just be nice to not immediately be hated on sight that's all.
they are not dressed as them forever and all the time, and not all of them do it. furries are just people having interest in anthropomorphic animals - just reminding you and fixing your explaination
I swear these past like, what, 1-2 years? I've seen a LOT more furry pfps everywhere and rarely ever do I see someone hating on them, people seem to tolerate furries a lot more these days.
"Why are furries hated?" I've heard that question so many times and it narrows down to these main reasones: We are seen as cringe (which we are in certain eyes, but we don't care); Some of us are zoophiles (people who already have or want to have sexual relationships with animals that are not anthropomorphic (real life animals)); Our fetishes aren't exactly accepted by society; Some parents don't want their kids around us (due to pedophiles); Some of us are extremely toxic. Rumors made by jokesters, trolls, and troublemakers help fuel the flames as well. So some of us actually deserve the hate, but the bulk of us don't.
@【BL4NKTTY】 for some reason a lot of furries think that people will take their political opinions more seriously if it's tied to a goofy animal character. I have no idea why. Also furries tend to have pretty hardcore political opinions
This 100%. Every time I explain what furry culture is like, I always feel the need to bring up the fact that there's a lot of misconceptions. I'm usually like "No, we don't think we are wild animals" or "No, we don't fuck animals. That's disgusting". It's kind of annoying, but the more people who are genuinely curious instead of just assuming the worst, the better.
It sucks that the furry fandom is so misunderstood After all Furrys are really nice people and we get bullied for no damn reason that’s fucked up you know
Those people can go away, then, or learn to control themselves. Nobody is forcing them to be furries. They have full control over how bullied they get. I don't even bully them. I just ignore it when it happens. Nobody should protect these people.
Even the Furry Fandom disowns zoophiles & pedophiles. There’s bound to be bad people in EVERY community but a small portion of people doesn’t represent an ENTIRE group!
Even as a furry ever since the zoo sadist chat was leaked and seeing other sickos it made me disgusted that i had a long 3 yr hiatus. I think the fandom needs some cleaning to do and better management of FA.
I remember always in those "what is the furry fandom" or " how to come out as a furry" videos they're always talking about how " the reason the fandom is seen as weird was because of the media misinforming people", but then I wonder maybe that it's the fandom. I just feel bad for the people who know what the fandom really is but still like anthro things, it just feels like the fandom has ruined what athro is.Even though the fandom had as always been sexual ( just look back at videos from the 90s) I feel that it's worse now, back then it really felt as if people were having fun (uh i didn't word that right i dont mean sexual fun), but now there's drama every week it's more of a headache then outside the internet.
why not create a separate fandom if you are a furry why not create a separate fandom that is not associated with the stereotypes of furries? I am part of the anti-furries but I only hate those negative things that some furries did
I don’t have an opinion on them. I think they are like regular humans unless they actually think they are animals. I don’t respect them, I don’t disrespect them. I leave them alone if they leave me alone
I think a lot of the hate came from how the community was in the early days when it was a lot more of an adult thing and that hate has been passed down through generations
I have a roblox avatar that has a cat hoodie, and people have mercilessly harassed me about being a gay furry. Then i slaughtered them in the game with no regrets and absolute pleasure😊
Administrating for a decently sized furry discord server has taught me this almost purely. The most reasonable person I've found that had a good enough reason for hating the community, was saying that they disliked how the community often overlook pedophiles and other disgusting people, 'allowing them' to be in the community. Ie: Because you have some bad apples that a lot of communities have, and sometimes don't find them, the whole community suffers constant harassment for it.
(which obviously. Isn't very reasonable, but it's way better than the other 99% of people attempting to raid the server calling everyone zoophiles. Which is PURE ignorance. At least the other guy understood the community wasn't all bad people, but dislikes how the community has bad apples that more often than not thrive in the community unnoticed.)
But that in itself is a stupid argument. They should be hating the pedos themselves and the people standing by them, not the community that is trying to disassociate itself from those gross people.
Which isn't even true majority of furries are highly against pedophiles in the community it's just what are you supposed to do it's not worse then any other community when it comes to that the religious side strives in covering up pedos in there own circles. And if you ever go to any furry community bewares sites or groups there are always bewares put out on known pedos and zoophiles by other furs. And all you can really do is report it and that's not going to get anything done unless there doing something illegal that police could do something about
I get... Considering how the police who (supposedly) protect and serve, have so many bad apples end up with entire departments of racist, bigots, and corrupt members . Yet they cover it up and let them go about their business plenty of people stand up in the furry community against zoophiles and other thing (just check tiktok) everyone is against it. But the police.... They cover it up. Now we're talking about people dressing up in costumes and people sworn to protect the serving uniform which one is really more scary
To be honest, the reason why people hates furries is because it is way easier to remember bad things that furries did/do to someone than remembering the good things they did/do. I remembered a friend of mine that said he hates furries because he meet a guy that is a furry and he was REALLY weird, so i showed him the good side of furries, and after that, he started accepting furries as an actual human, other than seeing they (furries) as weird monsters that wants to do NSFW things all the time without having a proper life.
I have a good friend who also hates furries. I asked her why she hates furries? she just said that once she was hugged by someone in a fursuit without being asked. she didn't feel comfortable with it at all. I asked her if she hates me? she denied. But I'm a furry too, I said. she didn't know how to answer. I then said that it's not okay to touch someone without permission. And that such people are not exactly popular in the furry fandom. some people in fursuits think it's okay to touch someone. But that's just not okay.
The furry and brony community’s have been the most genuinely accepting communities out there, ive found a permanent home in both and they have gotten me through some dark times. People who hate them either dont know or dont want to know them. Its just a very nice community.
Well that's some off the issue I've noticed when it comes to "furry."It's like a balloon all pretty and colorful but on the inside its just filled with air (or helium). When it comes to the core of what the fandom is and what all these people are doing its pretty much just get a fursuit or create a fursona. It's not just beta its pretty much every furry youtuber. That's why most furries are also apart of other fandoms.Unlike with other fandoms like based around shows there's so much you can do like make theories, fanfics, music cosplay etc
Yeah, tbh I just clicked on a video (I removed it from my watch history) that said “Why furries shouldn’t exist” just for curiosity, and it was………….it…………. ………. ….. …. .. Imma just say ofc it was stupid and it made my brain hurt xD.
Speaking of anti furry jokes, heres a list of the most common memes related to this topic: -"You bullied a furry. Heres a medal" video (seen it 10 times) -Any video about someone dying in springlocks (seen it 4 times) -Communist propaganda poster to fight agaist "zoophiles" aka the anti furry definition of a furry (saw only one, but could be more) -A furry or group of furries getting shot (seen it 26 times, could be more) As Vaas from Far Cry 3 said: "He said the same joke, about 3 times already. I dont think Its funny anymore"
The third point is specially funny to me since most of the fandom is fairly left of center, and, like, a third or half of the furries I know are marxists or anarchists of some sort (and vice-versa). I did see a parody poster like that on e6 once, though.
We can't forget the joke about furries being "fatherless children" which is not always true. I think anyone who says this probably has daddy issues too.
i think furries are hated becouse people fear not being acepted by the "cool kids" and more individuals see furries are hated so they hate them too and it goes in loop forever furries will never be stopped getting hate no matter what they do.
The biggest thing I’ve seen is that people often think we just want to have orgies or commit beastality which is by all means false across the fandom. People think we’re a lot worse and unsafe than what we really are because they base everything they’ve learned on isolated events from the 80s.
people like the "zoopriders" are just sad 20 year olds that got the belt by both sides as a child. Those things arn't human. They are demons. I constantly see this tiktoker being like "animal liker stuff is epic!!!! support our cause!!" and im like "Oh yeah you totally got the belt as a child didn't you"
Something I think is seriously overlooked is that the last generation was exposed to some of the worst press furry fandom has ever gotten and solidified misconceptions that are still widespread to this day. I can't tell you how many people I come across that hate furries but their definition is completely false. Whether it's that we want to be animals, that we want to fuck animals, or that we all just want to have sex in big costumes. CSI, Vanity Fair, Mary Claire, there is so many popular outlets or shows that took a real jab at the community. When the next generation ran to their parents asking what furries were, it's not hard to believe the reputation was passed down. There are plenty of actual reasons the community is disliked, but its important not to overlook when most of it began.
@@fattruck9226 it’s a hobby, kinda like cosplaying. You don’t go out in public wearing your raiden shogun cosplay you just do it for fun’s and bc it makes you happy. Like that
What you're saying is completley untrue. When people explain why they hate furries, its a completely valid reason. Usually zoophilia is brought up when talking about this. There is scientific proof that over 80% of furries SUPPORT zoophilia. OVer 70% of furries are child predators and groomers. Go ahead and look this up.
@@galaktikk6647 ... No it's really not. Furries were completely unheard of until the bad press started. It was numerically the first time furry fandom had been seen by the masses and it was the first impression for just about all of them. Those were the seeds that started most the fandom stereotypes. When it comes to scientific proof, I have genuinely no idea what you are talking about. Who are you referencing as a source? There is very few scientific studies into the furry fandom and even fewer that can be considered trustworthy. Furscience, easily the most well known, has never conducted a survey to see how many pedos are in the community and I've looked through their publications dozens of times. There is definitely a small amount of furries that identify with or support zoophilia but it is nowhere near 80%. In furscience's 2019 surveys, only 6.9% of those surveyed said they had a zoophilia fetish. When it comes to Furvey, which was a survey from a while back found that 18.4% identified as zoophiles, 36.8 felt mixed, and majority of 54.3% were negative or very negative against zoophilia. Given how hard it is to even reliably measure statistics like that in the fandom, this might not be the most accurate data but is still clearly demonstrates that those in favor have always been a minority. If you want a more clear recent look, do some research into a big RU-vidr named Kero the Wolf who was exposed for being apart of a zoosadist ring and basically got universally ejected from the fandom. This is the kind of shit I've been studying for multiple years. I know what I'm talking about.
As a bisexual man who used to not like furries. I think one reason people don't like furries is that, sometime, furries can be quite obnoxious in the public. To be fair, it is quite common in any community concentrate a lot of socially awkward people, but wearing a giant fur suit with bright color kind of make it much more "in your face".
They did this to themselves all ip in everyone's face and just are assholes in my opinion, granted I have friends who are furrys but they aren't to wrapped up in it
From my experience, people just jump on the trend of furry hate. They think it's cool because it's a time-old tradition. It gets regurgitated over and over again and people repeat it without thinking.

I know there's a genuine conversation to be had here, but every time I see a video about "why furries are hated" or that general topic, my brain starts playing the Spiderman Pizza Theme. Basically: "Aw shit, here we go again."
My mom hates me for being a furry she basically always mentally abused me since I was like 10 but she freaks out whenever I tell someone I'm a furry or even bring it up 😅 she told me I have something wrong with me and that I will have no life to put it candidly
I'm sorry to hear that. I, too, had an abusive mother growing up. Please don't let her statements impact how you feel about yourself! As Beta said, furries can and do lead wonderful lives, often working in highly influential positions in society. Such criticisms simply show that she has a fear of something that she does not understand.

I've met countless conservatives who are furries, I wouldn't so quickly lump them into the mix... 👀 Aside from that I liked this video! although the fandom has its issues, it is soooo wildly different from what nonfurries perceive it to be 😌
me and my non-furry friends actually infiltrated vancoufur today lol. they kept talking abt how they wanna bully the furries there but when they went they thought it was cool as shit and took a bunch of photos. ig the only way for a "furry-hater" to stop hating furries for stupid unjustified reasons is to expose them to the community itself, whether that be irl (which is prefered) or online
Because children They’re favourite edgy, content creator talks about furries in a joking manner These children, not knowing any better think this is actually true Then they spread hate Thanks for coming to my Ted talk
People hate furies for some of the dumbest reasons, and any good reasons they have could be used to hate on everything else. All the problems the fandom has that people use as a excuse to hate it, are problems in other fandoms.
Im sick of discrimination, a GOOD portion of people in the military are lgbtq and i know like 6 fairly popular furrys in the millitary and a ton of furs, lgbtq's that have EXTREMELY important jobs like doctors or just normal jobs that are still important so yes lgbtq and furrys are important.
More than 1/2 the fandom is not a part of the LGBTQ [alphabet soup] . They don't care who you want to cuddle with , and most are young enough not to care about intimate stuff in anyway .
Everything related with geek and nerd are usted to be considered weird. Now it's mainstream and trendy. The supposedly hate thing is that they live in a bubble and it was normal, but they didn't take too far.
>Come back from Church. >Eat lunch while listening to patriotic songs. >Watch a random video that has popped up in the recommended section... >"Am I the baddie?" >Gaming. On a more serious note. You know what's better than tilting haters by simply existing? Responding to hate with kindness. Watching haters trash around in despair and hopelessness gives me a weird feeling of satisfaction... Hmm... Good video. Thanks for putting the emphasis on the fact that it's just a hobby like any other. I think that is the most important part that "normies" should understand.
Fun fact: Most furrys have more high paying jobs then furry haters along with 32% of the population. Remember being a furry is a hobby/side job for MOST people. The reason I say side job is towards furry makers and furry artist/merch makers along with people who run furcons, do youtube, gaming, and vr. There's a reason why furrys can afford expensive fursuits, drawings, and afford to go to conventions ;)
Anti-furries or “furryphobes” probably think that furries always wear a fur suit, which is not true. That dude who scanned that can of beans at the grocery store might’ve been planning on going to the furry convention with his friends and you wouldn’t know.
The problem is, that anti-furries are not affraid but angry at furries. They will not avoid furries but hurt furries. They will not recognize their irrational anger as misplaced if you give them some facts and arguments but only dig deeper into their hate.
@@jupiterfox7683 And the stupid thing is, some also think furries want the act in cosplay, or they think that furries believe they are animals. Even worse, some even send death threats, which is actually a crime that you could get arrested for.
I'm glad my friends showed me furrys in my highschool years. It is a wonderful community. I work with 3 other furrys at my work. Plus I really want to buy a fursuit in the future!

I’m pretty damn open minded, but when I have to tell an employee to take their tail off or their collar off, we got a problem. Whatever you wanna do at home or on your own time is on you, but some of these people don’t know when to stop living in a fantasy world.
I don't think furries wear their costumes unless they're at home or at a furry convention. I myself have never seen a furry wearing their costume in public.
@@nagitoman yes, he does the ones that just ruin the community like a small minority gets notoriety and then eventually everyone associate the whole group with them
Plz read this. There are a handful of bad things about furries. Yet, I can't help but feel bad for them. Some aren't as bad as others. I wouldn't say people calling furries a bad community is an overstatement. But some people have to understand, there's at least one furry out there who isn't as bad as people say. Hate me all you want, but just know that you don't know who someone really is on the inside until you get to know them. And, let's get something out of the day. At the end of the day, FURRIES ARE JUST HUMANS. Sure, some may believe they themselves are a cat trapped inside a human body, but still! Furries are beings, like us! They have their own lives, they have their own families! Humans and furries are the same, just that one has an obsession. Although, that doesn't mean a normal human can't have an obsession, or as some people call it, a "fEtIsH." My point is, stop treating furries like monsters! They're one of your kind! This is basically racism all over again! Okay, maybe racism is the wrong word, but still! Treat them how YOU want to be treated. You all keep looking at the bad side of the furry community, rather than the good side. Can all of you, JUST PLEASE, KNOCK IT OFF? It's like beating a dead bear!
Its really nice to see the outlook on furries improve. And its really nice to see how well furries are battling the hate thrown at them and not taking it to heart. This community is so strong and inspiring! We've truly done great things despite all of the negative labels put on us.
I'm actually not a furry person myself but I was confused why people are talking bad about this community, I think this subculture is cool, so thanks for little explanation-ish :)
I always hesitated watching one of these videos because I thought it would make me even more bitter and angry in general about people hating us without a reason. But it actually made me feel much better for myself. Thanks
A group of gay furries breached a nukelear lab and they said quote "we wont return the information until you do what we want" and what they wanted is for the lab to start reserching how to bring cat girls to life💀
Being a furry is just a way of having harmless fun. If people wanna hate, they can but their arguments are invalid whenever we have done nothing to hurt others. Furries are chill, haters are lame. Tis all
In my opinion, furries have a hobby of either dressing up as or drawing anthropomorphic animals. That's just what they are. No, they are not "animal-fuckers," no, they are not "perverted." Hell, even some kids are furries, so do people think that's what they want to do? Sure there are some "furries" who do that, but that doesn't mean that all furries do it or participate in such activities. I'm not a furry, but I at least know the real meaning of the furry community.
Why did you video remind me of a kid calling me a furry as a negative thing cause I’m one of the last brony aka male my little pony fan😂you game me a good laugh today ty
Alright. Time to give you something to work on with. Aside from Ignorance and conservative point of views (even some games promote furry hate, Korea basically), some furries grow to hate furries themselves and grow out of it to inform that furries are like this and that. Mainly circle furs with bad experiences with furries that has either bad history with certain individuals [a lot of times from popufurs], or are outright toxic in their own ways. Furries are unique people with a weird similarity of [I don't belong anywhere in society but this community welcomed with open arms] and [Help I have depression, anxiety, and is looking for love and attention from other furs]. A lot of furries I've encountered are chill IRL but high maintenance online. So that stems to some having mental issues that are not addressed properly. Of course, not every fur is like that, but just a little over the majority of it. I mentioned that there are some furs who had bad experiences with other furs. Just like normal people hating others, furs tend to go a sub-level of the usual social medial climbers and are outright narcissists--basically people looking for validation by putting down one fur who has [insert problems] and virtue signaling that they're better than the said people. It happened on multiple occassions. Ever since the Floydd incident and ACAB came into being, some furs took advantage of it and harassed furry artists into succumbing to a stupid sense of just going with it (People who drew copsonas are literally fucked up). Some stayed strong, but became an outcast to a good portion of the community, and some even committed suicide. In other words, cyberbullying (or in today's term, cancelling). Sure there are a lot of problems in the western side in terms of that system, but the asian ones have their own problems, yet they get dragged, harassed and succumb to western ideology that BLM/ACAB or other bullshit that goes along the way. And then there's the entrapment in furs. Not everyone will tell you their real age until they weaponize it into canceling someone [some furry minors do that]. Just post it on Twitter, put some cropped/modified screenshots and make a bad context out of furs who are entrapped, and then out of nowhere victims will start receiving a range of concerns, harassments, or even death threats. Just like anyone who is easiily fooled, furries (who are toxic, formerly or newly SJWs) will take it to the next level, most of the times involving morality and/or ethics issues. Multiple furs that I know of are deplatformed and are still harassed due to furry social climbers making wrong call-outs and rallying sheeples into attacking victims. Most common attack so far for furs to fur is with false accusation of pedophilia. And you know a lot of people immediately get riled up because children are involved. Best place to target others would be Twitter and Facebook. And from that point on, former furries stop being furries, stayed away from them due to PTSD and possibly mental breakdown moments because of the negative side of furries, and will tell others about their negative experiences that stems to people hating furries. Worse case is when they have like group therapy sessions, share their vicious experiences and then gives other non-furries the idea that furries are bad in general. TL;DR - toxic furries and/or furry SJWs who social climb and target certain people who likes something that they don't like/with bad sides as well though cancel culture, virtual signaling, and others.
but you can't tell furries any of this because they will just deny all of it. you could be sexually assaulted and they would harass you till you leave and after that you don't exist to them and boom they got a +1 because no one will ever know.
wrong, anti furries have common sense and know the difference between right and wong, furries do gross unspeakable things to real life animals and if anyone supports that kind of things are the 12 year olds that should be in jail
My only experience with furry hate was agenst thoes furries that deserved being cast out as degenerates. The people who do creepy wierd shit like dox, harass, and stalk people irl because of someone not wanting a RP campaign interrupted by random fursonas with sex object weapons and OP magic abilities. The furries that did that defiantly deserved it. Before someone says it, no, these types are way too common to say "they're a vocal minority" Not only that, but they eventually attempt using LGBTQ as a shield to say "YoU'rE jUsT aN aLt RiGhT hOmOpHoBe". As both a furry and a DM i understand.
@BetaEtaDelota Challenge accepted, I will see how I can properly criticize the fandom. Just to clear things up, I am a furry, I am just giving what would seem like an actual criticism rather than mere embarrassment. First off, no one has to be a furry. The reason “coming out” videos are cringe, is because it is no one’s business. In addition, you can always enjoy the creative aspect of anthropomorphism without prancing around a hotel in a carpet outfit you spent a fortune on all whilst proclaiming you are a fan of anthropomorphism. It truly is no one’s business. In addition, some furries tend to be sore on the topic of criticism, especially with the history of furry hate. The second someone criticized them, furries immediately turn tail and chastise them for furry hate. It’s ok to criticize, as long as it’s not an unintelligent blabbering you felt you wanted to say in the moment you thought furries were strange. You act like people who discuss the concerns about the fandom are incoherent and don’t have good points, which I find to be highly debatable. In truth, there have been people out there who do stupid stuff, informing people about these concerns is always ok. I do agree that there are people with pretty sucky arguments. However, if you wanted to make an argument against the fandom, you could start at the innumerable about of furries who preach that if you enjoy anthropomorphic art, you’re suddenly a furry. Thing is, furry is the term for a person who’s part of the furry fandom.
*Accidentally sent before finishing. Because of that, being a furry is a choice, not a description. Length aside, how was this for an attempt at proper furry criticism?
The most often reactions you get on a suitwalk in germany are very positive. Most people are entertained and some ask for pictures or hugs. Some people ignore us, while some look at us in a disrespectfull way. But hatefull comments are really rare in real life. On the internet it looks much different. But the hate is mostly pointed towards the more stereotypic furries. Things like fursuit softporn on Twitter doesnt help to solve the hateproblem... My personal impression is, that hate comes mostly from the people who knows the dark side of the furry internetappearance and not by people that doesnt know shit about the fandom. A conection to the LGBTQ scene is mostly made by people who know the community.
It's also interesting how these types of people are only noticed when they're in a thread where the original post was anti-furry. Seriously though, the only time I'm being called out is when I make a furry joke or when I'm in such a thread.
I think what has changed in the last 20 years is that Furries were kind of a niche group, until they got some internet exposure. I think a lot of the issue stems from the same issue that other communities have bad reputations- bad people, and particularly people who have no redeemable qualities jumping into an interest group to fit in, while making the interest their entire personality, rather than using the interest as a means to network and learning to accept yourself for who you are and what you like/dislike. Of course, there's always going to be somebody using the community for their own personal and often self-interested gain, abusing others' trust and in turn, having the reputation of the group suffer as a result, but as time has gone on, my attitude towards furries has shifted from disgust to acceptance, if only because I met a lot of great people through my circle of friends and their acquaintances. There's still a point of friction when someone's entire personality is being a furry, rather than just having that aspect of who they are as a minor quirk/interest, while pursuing other hobbies and being generally sociable, either online or in person.
I mean, besides the exaggerated childishness? our p94n drawings? or the fact that we have (not in my case) money to buy clothes that can only be used properly in winter?
I think people are just chill with it now, unless you go insane with the feedback. Even if I get a quick "ew furry" or a rando shark attack happens, they usually end up hanging out for the time following lol. Point in plain: I think it's more just people trying to get a cheap shot in.
